I recently purchased a Stomper and 2 of the Segway plates. I have been thinking of ways to mount the plates and Stomper! When I saw how you used yours I was so excited! Thanks.

Thanks for this série of 3 videos about segmented turning. For me this is a new area of expertise which seems not easy to master. This opens a door on a lot of opportunity. Thanks again for your detailed explanations. Regards.

Thinking of purchasing the Seg-Easy Plates For Open-Segmented Vessels, but would like to see video or get help on for example the turning you are doing in this video , how many doffertn plates were used to do this. If one how if multiple which ones. Thanks for this and other videos

The video above is making a 12 segment, open segment vessel (the layers are just different thicknesses). I have chosen to use the 12 segment and the 24 segment SegEasy plates for my projects. As the vessel design become larger, the 24 segment assembly appears more elegant. I would suggest these two plates. The exact cutting angles, etc. are specified in the handout that comes with each plate.

I noticed that the half by the headstock is not aligned with the other half!! Shouldn’t they be aligned for shaping?

When pressing the halves together for shaping it is not necessary that the segments be vertically aligned. It IS important the upper & lower haves be horizontally in the same rotational plane for good clamping and later gluing. I didn't really bother with the rotational alignments.

Thanks! I just find it easier to align right from the start!!
