    MeJo takes her student Stan, who is an avid surfer, through all of the Pilates stretches on the Ladder Barrel that are appropriate for his body. Stan is a natural athlete but has tight hips, legs and back and very little Pilates experience so this is both an excellent detailed example of how to do these exercises as it is how to teach them to anyone with a similar body type.     Why did you call it “for men”??? I didn’t find it particularly helpful for men , I’m sorry

      "We titled this for men because MeJo is working with a guy who has some of the common flexibility issues that many men deal with. Sorry you didn't find it helpful for your body but that just might mean you don't have the same body needs that her subject did. Thanks for asking!"

      @@PILATESOLOGY Thank you. I meant that for my experience this is not a basic stretch for most people, even less for men, who are generally very stiff and are not able to assume most of the positions proposed...this is the reason why I didn't find this video helpful for my clients... thanks again and good work
