- The plaintiff and defendant share the same father. After one of the plaintiff’s sisters passed away, she was granted emergency custody of her nephew. The plaintiff claims that the defendant called Child Protective Services and reported that the plaintiff was unfit to care for the child. The plaintiff is suing because she claims the defendant refuses to return her nephew’s property. The defendant insists the plaintiff is unfit to mother her nephew because she lives in the projects. The defendant is countersuing for defamation.

This was a very sad case. When one person can tell another person to drop dread and it literally happens, that is a bad situation. When that situation is with two relatives, things can't get worse than that. To have a sibling like that is daily emotional distress!

I am from Cleveland and let me say that this is totally embarrassing. Telling a loved one to drop dead over $500 is obnoxious. I believe that the defendant is petty and judge mental and should be held accountable which is what Mathis did by ruling in favor of the plaintive. Both of them gave me a headache with their non-stop blabber miles going to thousand miles a minute with gossip and belittling antics. I am so glad to have left all of that behind
