🇦🇺 Walk around Brisbane (26-Dec-2023)

A daytime then nighttime stroll around the Queen Street Mall mostly, starting from the Pullman King George Square hotel. Popped into EB Games and Rocking Horse Records ... could spend hours there going through their records. I tried to remember all the drinking spots my friends and I used to frequent during the 90s ... only found Gilhooleys Irish pub ... I remember having my first "pint" of beer there, compared to the standard "pot" sized glass used in Queensland.
I would've liked to wander around a bit more, including down to the river but the weather was hot & humid ... just like all those Christmases I remember growing up, resulting in a severe storm just ½ hour after we returned to the hotel.
The Myer Centre is long gone, replaced by "Uptown". And there is a lot of construction work for something called the Cross River Rail:
