I remained there for over twenty years rising to the position of operations manager of the 'City Cleansing' unit responsible for all the street and mall cleaning within the city, Fortitude Valley and road infrastructure throughout the Brisbane Metropolitan Area. The city over those years, and since I left, has become almost unrecognisable. After twenty years of going around every nook and cranny of every street day and night, I rarely go into the city now. Hello, friend. If you ever visit USA, I highly recommend Gold Coast and Brisbane :) better than the other cities in my opinion, Sydney and Melbourne included.

Other than the fact that people are driving on the left side of the road and the license plates are elongated, this looks very sunbelt American-like, particularly similar to places in the southeastern United States.
