Yes, you can customise different sounds for the Hi-Hat both on the pedal and the pads and that goes for all of the pads and Kick pedal as well.

Are you able to play any song on the Alesis CompactKit 7. I’m very interested into getting it but want to know if I can play any song. Thank you

The Alesis CompactKit 7 comes with 100 preset play along tunes. If you want to play along to your favourite music, then you can do these 2 things:
1.) Play your favourite music from your computer or HiFi system.
2.) You can plug the CompactKit 7 into your computer via the USB, and import your favourite music into a DAW programme like Cubase, and play along or even record by MIDI, this way.

There is the Kit 4. Is it worth it paying more to get the 7?

The Kit 4 is a more basic version, I'm sure the sound is decent.

The kit 7 has a ton more features and you turn the hi hat control into a 2nd kick too. I’m looking in to getting one for recording demos. And it seems like the one for the job
