NYMR Levisham

Some views of Levisham Station House where we were staying in July 2024, A wonderful place, going back to the days when tickets were bought through the hatch, from the general waiting room.The house is old and modern at the same time and the owners are moving back in November 2024 so this will be the last year anyone can stay. Christopher Ware is a wonderful artist and used to be artist in residence on the NYMR.To live on the station was fascinating and having steam and diesel trains pass your doorstep was idyllic.The garden is a twitchers paradise as well and the small birds are quite content to peck seeds from the grass due to a shortage of cats etc.
