Thanks for the video, it will be very useful to me. I just bought a similar "Craftex" model, refurbished but in great condition almost half the price. I will definitely take it apart and remove all the grinding dust in it. In fact all Chinese made equipment must undergo full disassembly and cleanup. They just don't care about cleaning the grinding dust, not a single item will be thoroughly deburred and cleaned. Another fact, if you can't see a precision surface, it won't precision ground, just machined and probably not very well machined, so in the end I know I will have to scrape some surfaces on both the lathe and the milling machine.
Sorry I missed this comment. Mine didnt go smoothly at all either. Thats probably why I didnt get any on video. Once I got wrapped up in it, I realized I hadn't been recording. Hope yours worked out.
I’m on day two of cleaning mine. Took me hours to be happy with the table. The y axis mount gave me hell. Had to pound that thing out by the handle. Been working on the y carriage for several hours now. Woulda been nice to have some more quality control. Massive amounts of grease and chips got blasted out. Not to mention that grinding dust. Jesus.

I’m still amazed at how much I found. Good luck on your project and thanks for watching!
Hey, awesome! I was just milling some parts last night. Looking forward to the next video in the series.
Thomas Rogan thanks for your help!
I wish you would have showed z axis removal! The miter gear on the lead screw is giving me a terrible time
