Today, I am presenting with you a historical dish 'Bhopali Chicken Rezala'
It is a popular dish in West Bengal and Bangladesh. In the starting Bengali converts to Islam started cooking Rezala inspired by Awadhi and Mughali cuisine, after it was introduced by Mughal governors. Rezala came to Bhopal when officials were hired from Bengal by the last two Begums of Bhopal. Shah Jahan and Sultan Jahan. Bhopalis apparently prepared rezala from peacock meat until hunting peacocks was banned. Later it was prepared with chicken and goat meat.
