In this video we make our 2 day journey from Sihanoukville, Cambodia all the way back to Thailand.
First we get the Train back to Phnom Penh because this bus is delayed we have to stay in a hotel for one night before we can get a sleeper bus to the Cambodia/Thailand boarder. Which then get more complicated as the is no trains running for hours.
-- Train was booked via 12Go App from Sihanouville to Phnom Penh
-- We booked the Bus through 12Go App --Virak Bunthan Luxury sleeper bus.

We are Reanne and Ben living in Portsmouth, England. We have been together from the age of 15.
We brought our first house together at 23, got married at 25 and Reanne started her own business at 27.
We have been wanting to travel the world for the last couple of year but covid put a stop to it.
The day has finally come we have sold our business and packed everything we own into storage, rented our house to explore as much of the world as we can in one year.

@@oldboujeebackpackers thank you my friend we choose not to use a mic helps us get a natural video with gopro we want to record what happens rather than walk around like a film crew but I agree the go pro does not work good on trains and buses picks up to much background noise. Train in poor country is designed to serve their local transportation not for tourist. Each stop station was design for best serve that local in relevant to others. That is the reason, some stations are just a short stop and some a bit long. In the end of the day, each local residents who need transportation for living can be served.

@@OTWD_yt It is sound weird for train pass is twice as much. Usually, the price shall the same or lower to accommodate farmers and such. Perhaps, that was a passenger train. But why it stop too long? I don't know. Back in 1970s, I used to pay one-half price cheaper than bus. I traveled once a week for my business at Thai border.

Loving the content. Cambodia was my favourite place I've visited still to this day! That lux sleeper bus didn't actually look to bad compared to others haha. Make sure you try the Hotdog cheese toastie, way better than the Ham one. Also the frozen microwave Carbonara was one of my go to if you didn't want heavy bread meal whilst on the go. PUP Enjoy :)

@@flukekee_th There are good and bad people even in Thailand. I've been to Thailand many times and met both good and bad people. Traveling from Bangkok to Amphawa, I was scammed three times per day by a van driver. I was scammed by hostel by asking me to pay over the price set in online booking. I was cheated by tuk tuk driver and motor rider. Anyway, I never say I won’t go back to visit Thailand because I just enjoy good moment there and also meet with good and lovely people there.

16:42 I can relate, I hate backseat of the coach, I used it often when I needed to travel from suburban area to Bangkok, it often has 4 seats cramped together but your vehicle had 3. It's worse when air conditioner is not good.

Wouldnt risk a night bus-was involved in a crash on the road from Vietienne to the Cambodian border,we got lucky because the driver took evasive action and we ended in a ditch rather than crashing into the back of someone who just pulled into the rd without any warning.We ended up hanging around for 4 hrs before a replacement bus arrived.Problem is that in these countries there is next to no st lighting outside of big cities so coupled with some terrible driving this is dangerous.
Upshot is I only travel during the day on a bus in SEAsia,prefer trains as they are generally much safer.
Besides for the ancient ruins at Siem Reap, what other places would you highly recommend to tourists visiting Cambodia for the first time?
I thought Koh Rong was very beautiful
Go to battembang, go PP seee the history, S-21 museum etc, go out and have fun, go to kampot for a chill, go the islands. .oat importantly meet the khmers they're the best, and don't worry about an extra dollar here and there. Who cares? It's a third world Country that went through a genocide 45 years ago. That's not long at all and the following years under harsh Vietnamese rule..try and remember that when you're counting your penny's)cents.

looks for me like a giant ibis bus. i've made my experiences with them last week. never again. better a vip bus during the day. you forgot to visit a shooting range before you left. its a must in cambodia.

Don't understand why you never went on a minibus or a VIP from Sihanoukville straight to Pattaya - 8 hours - done this many times. this is easier, as the border crossing at Hat Lek is a doddle compared to Aranyaprathet. You could've also jumped on a plane to Bangkok from Sihanoukville, pricy but quick.
Yer thought about it but couldn’t find much information about that border crossing

I've been to Cambodia, 2 roads on the side of the road are quite dusty. You are lucky that 7Eleven shop, a company from Thailand, opened in Cambodia and Laos. As for the luxury bus , I don't really like it, it is uncomfortable and not safe.🤔
Yes definitely not safe we would of all been dead had the bus crashed definitely. It’s good that 7Eleven is here now bus it’s double the price of Thailand so you can’t really beat Thailand for value
