I was a lil bad this weekend by not getting a work out in since I missed 2 days and I thought I gained but I lost an additional 6. You motivated me and now I'm tellin u, u can do it! I've been on Weight Watchers for six months and have lost about 40 pounds. It's definitely slow going after the first few months but it works. Just fuel your body with things that you feel good about. I found that eating a piece of fruit or serving of veggies with every meal and snack really keeps me full but I can also indulge in things that aren't as healthy. Like grilled cheese (low fat cheese with wheat bread!) with a cup of carrot sticks for lunch. Very filling!
Oh my gosh now your hair really is the color of Whitney Houston's weave in the video "I Wanna Dance With Somebody"! Given, I know that's your actual hair. So pretty! That makeup looks so fun..love the eyeliner!
Some little tricks that helped: Letting go of soda,beef(it takes long for the body to break down),white flour/white starches, not eating past 9 or fallin to sleep after I ate helped.
congrats... for me i've learned not to focus on the scale because i get discouraged..i gauge my weight loss by the stretch marks i get..i know it sounds weird but i look at my body a lot and have noticed that im getting the good ones..i keep my skin moisturized so i dont finish looking like a tiger..lol with me my body fat percentage will drop consistently but the pounds move a little slower..but its all good cause i'll keep moving forward :)
Good luck Tati. Honestly, food (fried food especially) is a weakness. When you decide to splurge and eat unhealthy food, you'll feel a difference. You'll probably feel sluggish and heavy inside. It doesn't feel good. The more you work at this and become better in tune with your body, the less likely you'll be to fall off the wagon. Don't deprive yourself of everything while in LA, but be sure to pay attention to how your body responds to certain foods.13 pounds is incredible!!!
So I don't know if you have a sweet tooth, but skinny cow makes the best chocolate candy bars and they are 2-3 pts for 1 and dark choocolates snickers bars the regular size is 4pts! Oh and try eating frozen grapes...thats always helped me! :-)
Yay Girl, you look awesome!! I think we can see a bit of difference already in your face, I'm proud of you! I also lost 11 pounds in the last 3 weeks, and what helped me a LOT, apart from the eating, was Hoola Hoop and Skip rope... they are the most non-brain exercise ever, and you burn soooo many calories, awesome for middle body, and all over weight. AND you don't use much legs for it, so for you it's perfect! Try Zumba as well, it's really FUN! x x x
One very good thing to do if you don't want big muscles on your leg, you can do less weight but more times and what that does is, thin out your legs and raise your metabolism up because your muscles will be stronger but not bigger :)
i am the only one who doesn't eat on vacation? i'm too busy enjoying my time that i never think about eating! i don't know if i missed it, but did you say how much weight you lost in week 4?
I am glad that you want to lose more weight in a week. But it's not just about eating right food. it is also about eating it at the right time. Not skipping breakfast you need breakfast to jump start your metabolism. Eat little heavier for lunch than for dinner. And give yourself a certain time to stop eating everyday. I stop eating at 7 and I go to bed at 12. I wish you all the success and you can do it.

muscle weighing more than fat is a common misconception. think about it, if you have a pound of fat and a pound of muscle, they both weigh the same - A POUND. however, muscle is more dense than fat, so in terms of volume muscle seems to weigh more than fat.
im on my weight lost to im 19 lbs down i have to loose 40lbs i have a longway togo i cut out soda, sugar,slat,fried foods,candy,ice cream,all the bad foods it's hard i still have temptations drink alot of water it will burn fat faster

Try doing squats and lunges without weights, just use your body weight. It will help you slim down and get stronger without adding bulk. I'm a pear shape and have big legs myself :)
Girl I feel you with the thigh and calf muscles! My ankles are so tiny compared to my calves that they remind me of those turkey drumsticks LMAO. Wait... Who clowns themself?!... I do :(
Oh yeah, I would be careful with eating a lot of fruit as that can increase your sugar intake, & sugar turns straight to fat. You would be surprised how much sugar can be in fruit, especially bananas.
Hey :) You say that you dont want to train your legs because you dont want them to get bigger....thats the same thing that i have thought all the time. But in fact, the muscles in your legs are such huge and strong muscles and when you "activate" them, you will burn way more weight! The number of calories that your body burns on its own without doing anything will raise. Hard to believe, but it really works. To train your arms or just your upper body parts wont give you the same results :)
Stay on it gurl we in this together im gown almost 25 pounds and its lookn gurl we all go threw the battle together my weakness is sweets i really dont eat food but i love fruits and veggies its doing me pretty gurl an i dont like the gym...but its a must so now im n the gym 2 days a week not bad but could be betta! :)
FYI...don't sleep on working out your legs with weights...leg muscles burn the most calories because they are big --make sense? I too have massive muscles in my legs, BUT leg workouts burn the most calories. So bring on the beastly muscles! haha I'm 34.4lbs down as of this morning. 40.6 to go! :D
Congrats! on all you've accomplished. here's my trick to weight loss. Nonfat Yogurt based smoothies in the morning with protein powder & fresh fruit added. Thats an easy morning breakfast that will power you until lunch. For that mid-morn snack ALMONDS!!!!!!!!!!! A good plam full & water will fill you up and keep hunger away. That's how I cheat in order to have a little of the bad stuff:)

Try pilates or yoga! Those also give good muscle tone without bulking you up. : ) Good Luck!
