Stop trying to fight the thoughts, lust, anger, anxiety, pain, all the things that come and go continuously bc it will be apart of your flesh and the flesh wants and desires sin. So stop trying to fight it instead submit to god with prayer and thanksgiving, Christian music. He has overcome the world sista. Know that he is god and be patient through these hardships that life throws at you either in thought or people I love you sista but god loves you more.

Yes, in 90% teaching on this topic in churches, even on tv.I have heard die to self, die to self, and they leave out the rest: live to Jesus. Jesus came to give us life. I also went to a church where everything self was wrong. If you were shy you were self conscious and oh, a sin, if you were sad it was self pity, on and on. Some people even thought it was a sin to cry at funerals of their relatives. The problem was the extreme focus on self. They talked all about self denial but in a wierd way there was more focus on self than Jesus or anything else. Denying self and focusing on Jesus and seeking him is the answer, bringing new life and joy. I fully understand this message. We need balance. I'm greatful for this ministry.
