As a pianist. I can honestly say that this is one of the best renditions I've heard of this outside of piano. I would have phrased it in a similar fashion had I been playing it on piano again. Wow

It is NOT Milan's own variation, but the music is called "La campanella" and was composed by Rudolf Würthner. It is strongly related to Paganini's piece with the same title. I don't know why here such a hide-and-seek is made regarding the real author of the music.

I played this song and went down a rabbit hole of accordion music and I was wondering if you could play this song on accordion. It sounds so awesome!
I never knew that instrument was capable of producing such sounds. Gone has that French folk stuff, and now it's of an entirely different order. Played by a master. Lovely.
Makes me wish I had continued my lessons on the accordion. Mine had the piano keys, however. I don't recall ever seeing the type he is playing on here in the states. Unfortunately, the accordion is not known in this country as a serious instrument by most people. Superb artist!

A little correction, this is a chromatic button accordion not diatonic. Most specifically, it is a "bayan" I believe.

Just an abandoned, backdrop to play exquisite music... better off at a carnival with pink cotton candy, rainbow colored balloons, and the cheer of screams as they are trilled thru with accordion crescendos.

This guy’s brilliant. He’s also an anatomitcal oddity. Look at the size of his feet and length of fingers. Strange but it doesn’t detract from his playing. Wonderful!!!
Thank you, Tom! The effect of long feet has a simple explanation though - that overall shot has been recorded on a GoPro with a fisheye lens, thus the things close to the edges seem to be bigger and longer :) my shoe size is 44 ;)
Milan Řehák official Thanks for the reply Milan but you really need to change the camera angle, it does make you look a bit odd. Wonderful skill and musicianship. I’ve played accordion at a decent level for over 50 years and no matter how hard I try I can’t move my fingers fast enough to compete with how you and other virtuosos play. Loved the video and have subscribed to your channel. The accordion used to be very popular here in Scotland then it became uncool. Now making a comeback. Unfortunately I have lived through its unpopular years though I’ve always loved it. I’m largely self taught and had to learn by ear by listening to records of Scottish dance bands. Playing has always kept me sane and I find it sees me through troubled times. Never lose the love. Regards Tom
