Thank you for this! My 2013 was behaving the way I wanted (unlocking all doors when I touched the driver door), then it switched to only unlocking the driver door. I didn't figure this out until today, but it happened when I changed the key fob batteries. I couldn't find the cure in the car manual. Your video helped me do the reprogramming in minutes.
Fred, good to hear the video helped you out. I had the same issue with a Rav4 I rented. In that car it just a menu item so it was easier. Thanks for watching.
I prefer to open all my doors, because I often have stuff to put in the back seat, and my doors spontaneously stopped working properly. (After watching this video, I think I probably I did a "reset" without realizing it.) So glad to have found this video, because my key fob is often buried deep in a pocket or purse and it's inconvenient to dig it out.
Lynn, if your purse has side pockets that can be a good place for the fob as it helps prevent the buttons from being pressed and running down the battery. And it makes it easier to find. Thanks for watching and taking the time to share.
Good video, do you know if a 2015 Prius 3 can be programed to automatically lock all doors when you get about 10 feet from it without having to touch a button? For a example, if I go to Walmart and get out of my car and start walking towards Walmart and about 10 feet it automatically locks all doors.
It is not avail on my 2014 Model 2, but you can check by turning on car and selecting CAR>VEHICLE>Door/Window Setup>Walk Away Auto Lock. The default mode is OFF, but switching it to ON should lock the doors when you walk 5 ft away with fob.
@@cfldriven Thankx for trying, I just tried to see if mine offers it, but it does not, that maybe a option Toyota offers for newer versions, so for now I'll keep manually locking it.
Great video You also can see on the top screen that you had set up 4 doors or Driver door only, when you press and hold those two buttons on the key fob
The confirmation beeps are there for a purpose. Short of cutting the wires to the beeper I don't of a way to disable it. The reverse beeper can be disabled by the dealer on Gen3 models.
@@cfldriven I prefer not to have them. I’ve had plenty of cars where you can disable them easily. I guess Toyota wants you to waste more time and money for some beeps. I disabled my reverse beep with the Dr.Prius app and Bluetooth OBD tool.

It was a little bit of a long video but, super clear and thank you for the information.
Joe, sorry if the length was too long. We try to keep it to the basics while giving enough detail. Thank you for watching and for the feedback.

@@Deathicu I am used to it as both the Prius and e-Golf lock via a touch of the handle.

Thank you very much for watching.
What top screen?
When we get out of the car and forget to lock the door, will it lock by itself?
No this particular model unlike some other cars does not perform the self locking function.
How do you disable that annoying beeping?

@@BSwayze Thank you for sharing about the app and OBD tool.
I couldn't disable the beeping. Specially at midnight I don't want annoy neighbours.
Awesome
Did you know that unlocking the passenger door with the fob in your pocket will open all doors?
Unless you have foiled line pockets. Thank you for sharing.
Depends on model year or trim level. Not all the 3rd gens have passenger door handle sensors.
2007 tayota prius ?
I don't have one of those to confirm how it works. You might check for an online manual if the printed one is missing.
Thanks for remaining me how to use the control
Edwin, always good to hear the video was helpful. Thank you for watching.
Thanks
And thank you for watching.
Bro took mad long to get to the point lol
Sorry to disappoint, but thank you for watching and the feedback.
Yep but don’t swallow. Swish through your mouth then brush your teeth normally
