Why the fuck would anyone hate a slipper clutch, it's a lighter and better clutch system than a traditional clutch. The Z900 has a clutch so light you can pull it with one finger whist the Z750 has a clutch so heavy you can barely pull it with you whole hand.
@rebelrider247 slipper clutch has nothing to do with the weight. Z650 has less springs in the bucket than older bikes, thus the lighter clutch, but you get less bite / weak clutch feel. My zx6r has a slipper too and it has a much better clutch feel. Not hating the slipper bit the clutch feel
I’ve been riding a long time and granted I am not a speed demon. If it gets over 100mph I am good but I love my z650 because as they say, it’s more fun to ride a slow bike fast than a fast bike slow. For my use the z650 is perfect but the 1000 are fun too just not what I want as a daily
I pick my 2021 model up tomorrow, never drove one yet…sold my 2015 FZ6r…ordered the arrow brand exhaust and both the sport & touring windscreen….do you have a touring on there? Great video, subscribed! I have a channel as well and cant wait to upload the z vlogs
i have the powerbronze.co.uk short screen on mine. They also make a taller one also. I recommend checking them out as i think they have the best looking ones!
@@tmoney17-q1h a booster plug is a sensor that plugs into the air box. It tricks the computer into giving the bike more fuel. I have one on my versys 650 and it's great

i like that bike more than the mt07.and it sound awesome.where is the problem with the sound that everybody claims?after many years in on/off bikes,i m thinking for a middleweight naked bike, with a paraller twin.and you know something i like it more than new hornet.i just didnt had the change to sat on one.and im 5.9,i wonder i f my legs are a little cramped.of course its the optional higher seat
Every American begginer Rider like you has a clutch issue. Its something associate to learning to drive authomatic cars for generations. So its not a Z650 problem.
Hiiiii one question😅 How did you mount up those mirrors? I bought a set on eBay and the wouldn’t fit inside the handlebar so I gave them away. Could you tell me how you did it? Thanks!!!
Mhm, I have Z650, I am 186 cm. I got higher seat for a better comfort and I think it's barely good. Comfort is great, but it feels slightly too small for me. I mean comfort is great, visually I think it's barely ok. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone 186cm+. I think Versys would be much better pick for people that are tall.
I hated the Kawasaki slipper clutch for the first two days. Now I absolutely love it.
as usual, the factory knows more than we do..

I also have a 2020 z650...I haven't rode in 20 year's... the kawi was a great fit for me...swapped roadsports for roadsmarts 4s. OMGoodness...
That big of a difference?!
MT-07 doesnt have a slipper clutch. Friction zone on my 2022 z650 is very short.

That little windscreen, does this helps a bit?
It helps keep wind off your chest that is about it. Gives you something to tuck down behind as well
@@812motodoes it push the wind to your helmet and make it tough on the neck?
@@dauwg99 not at all. Wind is about the same on the helmet with or without the windscreen.
@@812moto Thank you so much for letting me know! I might buy it. They should be giving you kickbacks!
Pick up a booster plug. That should get rid of the jerkiness between on/off throttle.
What is that?

Hey, I used the renthal street bars in the low bend configuration. You’ll love the bar and tire combo!
@@812moto Thanks for that! much appreciated

I would like to ask how many mph you reach with 6th gear and 6000 rpm. Thank you!
if it similarnto sv650 gen2 120kmh equals 6000rpm
Old comment but the bike doe's 80 MPH in 6th gear at 6000rpm this can be seen at 1.14 in the video

You will need to tap the handle bar weights inside the bars as far as you can. My bars are not stock so they dont have the weights
