Transmission just went on my 2018 with 160,000km(100kmiles) due to the poor quality factory torque converter. Had to get a full rebuild. While doing research on it I noticed a lot of people with the 6l80 had the same issue. Just a heads up to anyone that hasn't had this issue. I would recommend getting the factory torque converter replaced with a good quality billet cover torque converter before it ruins your transmission.

My 2017 gmc half ton (small V8) has lots of dust through the rear doors, the fuel pump gave up just after warranty ran out, and sometimes it makes a pop noise or groan noise in the tranny when backing up.
The latex paint had hundreds of little specs in the paint (looked like course sand chips) right from the factory, but the dealer wouldn't repaint it. So the truck has been o.k. otherwise.

@@mrrogerstown2435 …and cylinder deactivation, and an 8 speed auto. This Silverado is on wide off road tires, has cylinder deactivation disabled, and has a 6 speed auto. Still, 19 in any full size truck with a V8 is extremely good 👍

@@TruckCentral I have to agree with you about the looks of that year of Silverado, very sweet looking truck. The interiors on the other hand are pretty crappy. I have a white Laramie with the sport package and she is purdy. I think for new trucks the rams are far and away the nicest looking.

How’d you do the cylinder deactivation?

I just don't understand how GM can keep putting out a product with the same problem year after year. The lifters, the transmission, the wheel bearings, the leaking back bed light. There is no excuse for a truck that cost as much as a Silverado . It should go an easy ,200 thousand miles with out these constant problems. Where.are our government protector who.is.surppose to protect the consumers.
