Hi I just want to say I've been watching since a few years ago and I've had depression really kick me while I'm down. I want to thank y'all for what you do it's made me happy so thanks
This is one of my favorite saw sequels. Great reviews guys can't wait for the last three reviews of the saw series. Enjoying all of them. Cheers guys keep up the great work.
It will probably be just me that's alone in this, but I'm constantly mixing up Hoffman and Strahm when I see them on screen, I usually have to think twice before I remember which of the two I'm seeing. Glad Iain brought up how ridiculous the setups start getting in order to keep upping the ante for audience expectations. The first few movies had traps that you could reasonably put together, especially when they establish that John is an engineer. After that it's constantly a question of how did one or two people with no mechanical expertise (even if working from John's old blueprints) manage to acquire all the materials and build all these traps in a short amount of time and escaping all notice. Like how did Hoffman even get all the acid? I guess he was a real DIY guy and if he had ever married his wife would have been thrilled at never having to pay anybody to come work on their house!
I definitely rank this Saw in my top 3 of the franchise! The actor who plays William is amazing, you really feel his emotional struggle when he's having to choose between his co-workers. A part of almost hoped he would make it through to be able to change his policies and ways, despite the horrible things he has done to people.
Last two Paranormal Activity films are pretty unique. And surprisingly good. We do not stay indoors anymore ,we travel to a spooky village,we have a bit of folk horror, etc.
Thoroughly enjoying your saw series lads iv probably said this before you two this channel is without a doubt the best review channel on UA-cam it astounds me you haven’t got millions of subs but it don’t matter you get quality over quantity here and I have never watched reviews of films I haven’t seen before I found you and I really do watch every video you put out regardless .. peace ✌️
I love Saw VI. I love the campiness/comedy of the film. I love that most of the flashbacks have Tobin Bell as Jigsaw stealing the show. This film, In my opinion, did a better job developing Hoffman and Jill's characters than IV and V. This is definitely in my top 5 Saw Movies
i did not know why u got not more followers.. i love your reviews. its for ppl who watched a movie a few months or years ago and want a best of^^ you guys make a nice job. please dont stop(i watch from germany^^)
Much as I love this franchise (with the exception of the upcoming turd), there are 3 movies that really stand out for me. And this is one of them. Really loving these reviews guys. I hope you do Sàw X as it's just gone to the top of my list - and I never expected to be saying that!
I just recently watched "Saw X" in the theatre on Friday the 13th. I was pleasantly surprised with this movie. I do not spoil movies but, It has actually made it into my Top 3 of the "Saw" franchise.
Have you rewatched VI since seeing X? When John is speaking to the insurance guy - he mentions the doctor in Norway.. (maybe you already know that - but it blew my mind a bit). 🤯
I could see this being the last movie and having Hoffman die off as a good enough ending for the series. It would have split the Saw films into 2 halves/trilogies where the narritive split happens on the same day with 3 and 4 where the death of one ers ends while another begins. We'd also get the same beats with our main Jigsaw of each trilogy. 1 and 4 introduces them by making us think theyre a victim of the main game. 2 and 5 give us the backstory and let us know why they do what they do. 3 and 6 would have been about them desperately fighting to survive, only to die after seemingly getting what they want. 7 feels like such an outlier to the main series because there shouldn't have been more to do with Hoffman. He reached his extreme when he killed the rest of the agents. At that point, he's just a plain murderer. He'd have no reason to set up games for John anymore. He's lost the morals or it all.
I do love this film especially the opening trap with the girl in it being a tv reality show competition winner I love the comontary on health care I love it
Well he only broke his thumb...For the most part all four fingers are usable still. It'll hurt simply by proximity, but four fingers have enough strength to grip somewhat.
This series lost all credibility from #2 onwards when we are supposed to believe that not only would there be THREE disciples that would work for Jigsaw, but that they would all ENJOY it too. They were all either his traumatised victims or blackmailed into working for him, but they all enjoy it which is just ridiculous. To make it remotely believable the writers should have made it so that - at the very least - his gang begrudgingly worked with Jigsaw, or showed some deep resentment or regret or disgust or doubt at making these people suffer because they had to. But no - instead, these hack writers go way too far and actually expect us to believe these Jigsaw cultists all relish what they are doing to these other victims. I don't care what excuses people come up with for this series, most of these victims in any of these did not deserve to die and certainly not in the most sadistic and gratuitously gruesome ways, and if you find yourself feeling they did - get help and look at yourself. I'm sorry but I am SO tired of fanatics of this series grasping at straws trying to minimise, or worse, glorify and moralise Jigsaw and his maniac cultists. At the end of the day, it says a lot more about you than it does about the victims who you felt "deserved to die". TL;DR - if you agree with anything Jigsaw and his whacko gang put anyone through, see a therapist.
Great review guys! Thank you! 👍 this series of torture-porn-horror has..10 movies?! The Conjuring has almost just the same number? Will you review The Conjuring-series? Keep ut the good work! 👍 You guys are the highlight of the week!!
I've been anticipating your review for Halloween Ends ever since you dropped your review for Halloween Kills Your reaction to that movie is gonna be more entertaining Than that movie was
The only other movie I've seen with the actor who plays Hoffman is Oliver Stone's The doors. He played the European dude that was banging Jim Morrison's girlfriend his only line was Americans are all so cool
Oh boy. Having watched this great review again, I have to do a follow up comment. Gary, you are waaay over analysing these movies buddy! If logic is your forte, the time for you to stop thinking ended halfway through the first movie. I can't wait to hear your thoughts on the Final Chapter.... that abomination makes the previous six movies look like ultimate guide to continuity 😀😀😀
In retrospective you can say is not that good, but back in the day when it came out the franchise was at its peak, and people were exited to know what will happen next, in that sense the movie delivered, as well as the elaborated traps, however is a decline in writing quality compared to the previous installments
You guys and Mooler/efap (I feel like Gary would enjoy EFAP and Mauler would probably have him on so prob good promotion if it would happen) are both covering the saw series for Halloween, you started late but with this release you are pulling ahead. I'm watching both and money is on Shelf finishing first.
Y'all are thinking WAY too deep about the movie. As a horror movie this series has been way more deep than any other horror franchise and, therefore, very fun to follow! It was damn enjoyable and exciting. Hoffman is basically just doing what Jigsaw wanted him to do and not get caught. I dont see a problem with that. This movie doesn't need to be what the first one was.
tbh this was the one where i started losing interest in the series bc the games and tests were just no win scenarios for most of the people in there. Like the guys team or the young kid he had to sacrifice or with the two people that had to give up a pound of flesh , its like wasnt the whole point of the games to show your will to live? how is it fair if you are part of a game where your will to live may not matter at all bc its all up to what another person does? Do they not get a chance to redeem themselves? Its like oh yall guys on the carousel have to die bc you committed the sin of having a job that jigsaw disagreed with. Which is another thing i started to get very sick of around this time, the preachy soap box "messaging" about healthcare etc. Like these people have no idea how the insurance setup is balanced and structured or that once obamacare cut out preexisting conditions etc, healthcare became way more expensive and difficult bc now every sick, fat, old asshole who is loaded with health problems gets to have insurance paying for things while the younger healthier person has to comp the cost even when they arent using any health services and therefore they drop their insurance which means less of a pool to draw from so the premiums get even higher, then obamacare did a bullshit mandate saying you HAD to have helth insurance even if you couldnt afford it or else you paid a penalty and its like i cant afford it bc yall made it to where the costs rose 200%
Hi I just want to say I've been watching since a few years ago and I've had depression really kick me while I'm down. I want to thank y'all for what you do it's made me happy so thanks
Same
God bless you, and Merry Christmas. Hope the future is brighter for you
You guys give the the best film reviews on UA-cam 💯 I’d rather watch yous talk about the films than the films themselves 😂😁
Oh now they’re catching on Jill’s actress not being very good. Pretty simple reason why she got the gig: she was engaged to one of the producers 😅
That and she has great big tits.
This is one of my favorite saw sequels. Great reviews guys can't wait for the last three reviews of the saw series. Enjoying all of them. Cheers guys keep up the great work.

I know what you mean. They are so similar looking and not really distinctive from each other in any way.
I definitely rank this Saw in my top 3 of the franchise! The actor who plays William is amazing, you really feel his emotional struggle when he's having to choose between his co-workers. A part of almost hoped he would make it through to be able to change his policies and ways, despite the horrible things he has done to people.
Love the dog soldiers shirt … “Fucking get in there spooky!”
Last two Paranormal Activity films are pretty unique. And surprisingly good. We do not stay indoors anymore ,we travel to a spooky village,we have a bit of folk horror, etc.
Eagerly awaiting patiently 😂 thanks for all the top notch (as always) reviews lately lads 🙏👊

@@mmobhm2059 I agree

@@sassypantsg.6617I actually re-watched "Saw 6" the day before I went to see "Saw X".
with the Appearance of the Son in this (Devon Bostick) we are up to 5 Actors in the Saw movies that ended up appearing in Survival Of The Dead
I could see this being the last movie and having Hoffman die off as a good enough ending for the series. It would have split the Saw films into 2 halves/trilogies where the narritive split happens on the same day with 3 and 4 where the death of one ers ends while another begins.

The actress that plays Jill is married to the producer I believe.
I watched this one recently and for all its flaws I really enjoyed it. Its one of the more fun ones for me.
As always you guys are amazing
Thanks, gents! Sorry I missed the live.
I do love this film especially the opening trap with the girl in it being a tv reality show competition winner I love the comontary on health care I love it
shelf life! ❤
Just hanging off the shelf we are.

Abit of trivia dudes, David Armstrong the DOP, shot Hellraiser revelations 😂😮

Can't wait to see what you all have to say about Spiral:book of saw after you mentioned it Iain.
Saw VI is honestly one of the best in the series. I'd probably rank it 3rd or 4th overall with Saw 2 #1.
13:17 Maybe Loosely as like Dr Giggles type Evil? Or Norman Bates type Evil ?
Hey he was the best part of Diary of a Wimpy kid especially the 2nd film!
I've been anticipating your review for Halloween Ends ever since you dropped your review for Halloween Kills Your reaction to that movie is gonna be more entertaining Than that movie was
Good stuff as always guys.
Been watching all of your Saw reviews, they're entertaining and interesting, makes even this 6th movie rewatchable.
Cheers.
Are we getting jigsaw and spiral and X? Pretty please

The last good Saw until the most recent one of course
