When you're cutting the letter out, cut a small border that encompasses all the letter as well. you can use it as a stencil to get your spacing perfect.
@@whuwatwinwear6786no, but imagine this if you will. In XCS, enter your text. Then place a rectangle around it. Cut the letters and the rectangle. Attach adhesive to the letters but not the rectangle. Place the rectangle down where you want to place the letters. Place your letters that now have adhesive on them in their original holes in the rectangle one by one. They are not perfectly spaces where you want them.
You can cut Cast Acrylic. Unfortunately, you still can’t cut clear and some colors may not work. But so far, all of my cast acrylic colors I bought work!
I think as long as it is cast acrylic, it is very possible! I know white is the hardest color for many to cut with a diode but I have heard lots of success stories. I have not attempted it yet unfortunately so I can't speak from experience.
Oh no! What type of acrylic are you using? Is it transparent in any way? If so, it unfortunately will not cut. Let me know what type of acrylic and color you're working with so I can give you some tips.
Sorry for the delay - I honestly use the honeycomb for most everything. It's what I always have set up in my machine and it's easier just to stick with it... plus, being able to use the clips to keep the items in places make it so much easier.

I actually did this the second time I made the toppers! It definitely made it a LOT easier.
May be a long shot, but do you have a visual of the process you’re stating or know of a video on YT that shows what you mean?

Is that 1/8 or 1/4 acrylic
It is 3 mm thick (so close to 1/8). I think 1/4 would be too thick for a layered topper.
Hello did you try to engrave the acrylic?
I have not yet tried to engrave acrylic - it is on my list. BUT I have read in the M1 group of people being able to with no problem.
Why are you using the honeycomb tray instead of the base tray? I thought the honeycomb was to be used for thicker material.
