were can i get these magnets?
What wattage is this one
This is the 10W!
Just discovered your video. You make it very easy to understand. Only just bought my M1 and looking forward to having a go at tumblers 😊
Thanks so much for this template!
There's really no need for you to use the honeycomb attachments for this.
I know :) I just already had it installed so made it easier to use it instead of taking the honey comb out for the base plate.
Can you laser the lower section of your black tumbler, the thinner part? As well as the bigger part
Hi there. I just found your video. I've been looking for the perfect crafting tool for multiple applications - the M1Ultra may be what I need. The MAIN thing I am looking for aside from a laser engraver/cutter and the Cricut-like cutting machine - I NEED a machine that can emboss foil into LEATHER or even Faux Leather - Have you tried this? Do you know if the M1Ultra can emboss or 'burn' foil into leather (if that makes sense) ? Think of a leather hardcover book with foil embossing - THAT is what I am trying to accomplish basically. If you have any thoughts or experience on this - I'd be very grateful for any input you can give me. Thanks so much in advance - love your channel!
As someone looking to get into the laser/cutter craft world, would you say the M1 Ultra is really more useful than the M1? I have an Epson Ecotank printer already, but don’t have any type of cutting machine. I’ve considered the Cricut Maker 3, but I like the versatility of the laser cutting and engraving! But would you say the Ultra is worth it? Is it just the printer that is different from the M1? Thanks for your video!!
looks awesome! does it work on leather? I want to add gold to some luggage tags but don't want to invest in a deboss machine + molds
Hello, I'm not familiar with Canva... Can you tell me if this template is available to use on the Canva free version, or do you have to have the paid version of Canva in order to use the template?
It is possible to edit the colours of the cards as I'd love to make a few sets with the same thene 😊
Thanks for the video, is the tool able to emboss/foil solids? Not just line.
Thank you for this, I was trying to figure out if this matching did foil well.
Great video! I just got my M1 Ultra and your video is just what I was looking for. Thanks for the helpful information.
Did you use the wooden blocks?
I did not use the wooden blocks because I have the honeycomb riser base. But the blocks should work!
Is that 1/8 or 1/4 acrylic
It is 3 mm thick (so close to 1/8). I think 1/4 would be too thick for a layered topper.
No one has these videos for a full wrap. It is so daunting, I have messed up so many cups images, you name it. Would love for you to do one on a 30oz Quencher
I totally understand! I agree that it is daunting which has led me not to experiment with it just yet. There is a Facebook group for each of the machines and I have found some great information about full wraps for people in there!
@@momenvy yeah I'm a member of one and a guy even made a template where you angle the cup and it still didn't work
There is a video on UA-cam for a full wrap
Fabulously fruity tarts
Would you happen to know how long the pens and ink cartridges will last? What's the cost to replace these items? Also do you feel like it aligns easily or is this an issue?
I am unsure of how long the pens or ink would last because so far, they have not run out for me. I have printed multiple full-page size images and haven't had to replace the cartridge. I have not used the pens a lot so it's hard for me to judge their longevity. But I do know that the Cricut pens also work with the machine (and you can find them on sale a lot, especially at Michaels!) I had no issue aligning the ink cartridge. The ink currently is about $32 (affiliate link: www.xtool.com/products/xtool-m1-ultra-ink-cartridge?ref=msdtV1Y70_j4bw&)
Would it print the correct size if I print it from like images from gallery on my phone??
are you saving the images from the Canva template? Or do you mean if you print just photos from your phone of people? Sorry, just need more info! Thanks!
@@momenvy Im saving the images from Canva
@@momenvy I am saving the images from the Canva template, sorry for not clarifying
Hi, the guess who game I order they keep giving me the new version but you can’t change the picture on it. Where do I get the original hasbro guess who?
Oh no! I got it on Amazon but I also know that Walmart sells this version most of the time. From my Amazon orders, this is what I ordered: amzn.to/4b6bZUM (affiliate link) BUT they could have possibly replaced it with another version that's different now?
Can I print on lunch box ?
It depends on what type of material the lunch box is. Most likely, no, it wouldn't work. But, you could use the cutting blade to cut vinyl for a lunch box!
Can we use metal like dog tag?
Yes! If it is stainless steel you can do engrave it. Stainless works best for engraving with the M1 Ultra. Just avoid mirror stainless.
I would like more information about guarantee and customer service.
It comes with a 12 month warranty and an option to purchase a plan for it to last longer than 12 months. I have always gotten decent responses from customer service the couple of times I have needed it but in all honesty, use the Facebook group the most for questions for all of my xTool lasers becauses 9/10 I can find an answer by searching the groups without even having to ask anyone a question!
Very well explained, thank you for the video, I have to save it!
can it print and laser at the same time? or do you need to swtich the modules over?
You do need to switch modules but you can switch them without moving the item - there is a setting in the machine for using 2 modules. It has you do step one, switch the module, then do step 2. I have a project planned to showing doing 2 steps with the laser!
@@lauraburton5965 thatll be good! im mostly intyerested in the printing on slate, mdf ad plywood, then using the laser to cut out the mdf and wood, but the chaging modules is a slight worry!
Hi!! Can you share whats the name of the colors you use?
Sorry about the delay! I used Pink Crush and Aqua crush! I purchased it here - tidd.ly/4cPbLCK
dont mind me ask, i follow your step, but why i cant die cut the acrylic? i only use 2mm even
Oh no! What type of acrylic are you using? Is it transparent in any way? If so, it unfortunately will not cut. Let me know what type of acrylic and color you're working with so I can give you some tips.
I have the same set up. I have a small business and have been using the same methods for months now. My tumblers tonight are coming out with an off line then the laser correct and goes back to where it should be. So the image looks like it “drops” have you had this issue? I have cleaned the M1 and the rotary tool. All the common trouble shoot options.
Have you updated your software or firmware?? I am hearing some people are having issues with the latest update and are having to go back (where possible) to the last version instead. I haven’t updated yet because I am nervous if it will cause issues for me. I bet if that is the issue, they’ll probably come out with another update to fix it soon!!
- sorry I replied from my personal account I use for my kids when they’re on UA-cam, this is still Laura!
How thick is the acrylic you’re using?
Sorry for the delay - it is 3mm thick
Where did you get the clamps you use with the honeycomb tray?
They came with the honeycomb from XTool!
Looks great! Thanks for posting. Do you use the air assist for the tumblers?
You don't need to, but I do. I have actually found that it helps keep soot down on ALL of my projects including engraving. I figured if I have it, might as well use it!
thanks for replying.
Can you please make a video on which guess who board should I buy because there so many and I’m afraid I may buy a wrong one and also explain how to set up the pictures on that board because that’s also confusing
You can find the Guess Who Board here - amzn.to/4b6bZUM (affiliate link) It's actually really easy to set the pictures up in the board. You cut them out and then just slip them in. The directions are in the box for how to slip the pictures in.
@@momenvy Thank you very much I always wanted to make one your video really made it easy and simple
Hello did you try to engrave the acrylic?
I have not yet tried to engrave acrylic - it is on my list. BUT I have read in the M1 group of people being able to with no problem.
I need some one to help me, my machine burns my tumblers😢
Oh no! I suggest buying an inexpensive tumbler and then doing a test grid on it to see what setting is best. If it's burning, it means your power is too high or you're going too slow (both can cause it to burn). If you have an M1 (or another xTool machine), you can get free test grids on their website!
Nice work! Can you share where you got the tape from?
Sorry for the delay! The 3M tape (which is what I think you mean) is from Amazon in this video because I needed it quickly for another project. But, since then, I actually have purchased it from Adhesive Ninja (on Facebook)
Thank you!! You’re like one of the only videos I watched that shows where the tray should be!!
Thank you for the video and file.
Why are you using the honeycomb tray instead of the base tray? I thought the honeycomb was to be used for thicker material.
Sorry for the delay - I honestly use the honeycomb for most everything. It's what I always have set up in my machine and it's easier just to stick with it... plus, being able to use the clips to keep the items in places make it so much easier.
Loved how you did step by step.. Have you ever done a full wrap on chuck?
Sorry for the delay! I still haven't done a full wrap on a chuck - it's on my list but I keep putting off trying it 😬 I only make things for myself/family and just haven't had a full wrap I have wanted to do yet.
can you share your jig
Hi Katie! It is free on xTool's website. I downloaded it there for free :)
Where do you purchase your Acrylic?
I got mine from ModfyBuild on ETSY. He has some great Cast Acrylic options!
love this so much! What paint did you use for this? Thank you for these tutorials
Just basic acrylic paint. I used what I had on hand - I use lots of brands, I focus more on color than brand name. That includes brands like Folk Art, Apple Barrel, Michael's generic paint, etc.
How thick is the acrylic?
It is 1/8 inch
so detailed!! Have you done a tapered cup yet? I have an Ozark one that has a slight taper to it and i cant seem to figure out how to place it on the roller, or should i use the chuck??
Not yet! I have plans to do one but haven't tackled it yet. In my research, I have read that it is best to use the chuck. In the one tutorial I also read it is best not to use the honeycomb because it's thickness can make it more difficult and to make sure to unite everything so it is one design vs. multiple layers.
I wonder if white acrylic with colorful polka dots can be cut with the Xtool m1 since you are using the pink ?
I think as long as it is cast acrylic, it is very possible! I know white is the hardest color for many to cut with a diode but I have heard lots of success stories. I have not attempted it yet unfortunately so I can't speak from experience.
I’ve cut white cast acrylic with my m1 I do 5 passes
When you're cutting the letter out, cut a small border that encompasses all the letter as well. you can use it as a stencil to get your spacing perfect.
I actually did this the second time I made the toppers! It definitely made it a LOT easier.
May be a long shot, but do you have a visual of the process you’re stating or know of a video on YT that shows what you mean?
@@whuwatwinwear6786no, but imagine this if you will. In XCS, enter your text. Then place a rectangle around it. Cut the letters and the rectangle. Attach adhesive to the letters but not the rectangle. Place the rectangle down where you want to place the letters. Place your letters that now have adhesive on them in their original holes in the rectangle one by one. They are not perfectly spaces where you want them.
Super cute sign!❤
I see you had the same issue with the cut on the bottom line. all my projects with print & cut had this problem - Xtool said 1-2mm are in the norm
