Dude! Holy Sh*t! You produce THE MOST accurate reviews of headphones out on youtube! I am audiophile, I am in music around 9 hours every day, I've tried them all, I've watched a lot of reviews. Dude...you flat out Nailed IT. Finally someone said it. Sony x3 sound isn’t better than the Bose. I’ve been saying this for a while even with the qc35’s and now the NC700 are out, they really don’t stand against them.

Nice review. I'm in Vegas in Jan and was going to get a pair of the new NC700 from the Bose outlet. My Nephew bought his Nuraphones over for me to try a few days ago. WOW!! I bought the Nuraphones the next day (£250/$330 in a sale) and the Bose will stay in the shop. Oh........ and I've subscribed as well !!

dude, I need ur help. I have started to travel alot and therefore I need a pair of noise cancelling headphones. First I thought the Bose 700 was the winner. But then I see peoples reactions when they try the nuras. I want good noise cancelling, but still I dont want to miss out on the Nura sound. So my question is....Do the Nuras have good enough noise cancelling to use on airplanes or should I go with the Bose 700? Whats ur tought?

The NC700 doesn’t seem to have 20hrs of battery, when you fully charged them. It said it on the Bose music app. Mine only go up to 19hrs. Anyone experiencing the same thing?
Solid review, except that you didn't talk about noise cancelling on the Nuraphones compares!
As far I can tell, the Sonys do have objectively better noise cancelling than the Bose 700s, in the sense that they supress more dB. However, it comes at the cost of a sense of pressure and a higher noise floor. I also agree that they sound muddy, especially for the price. I can cop some ChiFi cans for $40 that sound as good as the Sonys. That sound signature, combined with the aggressive noise cancelling makes the Sonys sound congested.
The Bose 700s have a wider soundstage. They're not quite airy, but definitely more open. The noise cancelling sounds amazingly natural and free from that cabin pressure feeling. The only criticism I can see of the Bose, other than the price, is that they're not bassy, especially compared to the current state of consumer headphone tuning. I'll take clarity over bass though, since you can always push the low end a little with EQing but it's much harder to clean up the sound with just EQ.
If you just want to block out as much of the world as possible, the Sonys are the way to go. If you want to block out the world so you can enjoy great sounding music, the Bose are much better.
In your opinion, where do the Nuraphones sit in comparison on sound quality vs noise cancelling?
I agree - another huge positive of the Bose is they are sooo light and comfy. Nura has decent noise cancelling but it’s definitely not a selling point. They have the best sound of all of these in my opinion. But you’ll never see me travel with them, or take them to the gym, because they’re huge, heavy and clumsy. They belong on a table at home ha!
I pick Bose over any other headphones if you want comfort
