Easily some of the best Bannerlord content guide wise. Your style is a real gem keep it up. I am actually "liking" and commenting because you should grow for this effort
Wow, that's a huge compliment, thank you! I appreciate the support and I'll keep the videos coming. I just started on the trade guide last night and will have it ready by next Friday. After that, the intelligence skills!
This answered questions I had that I couldn’t get a straight answer for anywhere else. Needless to say, Strat Gaming is my one stop shop for everything Bannerlord.
Be sure to check the comment section on this one, I missed a couple things! Oops. The big one was that higher morale gave more XP (76 morale XP < 100 morale XP). Thank you for the vote of confidence! I'll keep the videos rolling.
As a rule of thumb, I always carry enough grain and tools with me so I can instantly finish quests where villages require these. Hand it in, buy it back (!) - and you simply exchange gold for charm XP and relationship. A similar thing goes with Art of the Trade where you just spend gold. Inn and Out costs you 200 gold, but also the stupid loading time to get in the tavern, sit down and talk to the gambler. Also, Lady's Knight Out is actually a good quest, because it's so easy to complete.
Interesting, I didn't know the items were deposited into their inventory! That's a great idea to buy the supplies back afterwards, thanks for the tip :D
Great guide. One important addition for charm: Instead of releasing captured enemy lords to improve relationship with them, you can also donate them as prisoners to any town or castle dungeon of an allied lord to gain relationship with the owner and influence points - similar as when releasing them, the amount of relationship and influence gained is very high for clan leaders and faction leaders. I suppose the relationship gain and XP gain is about the same as when releasing the lords. but it has the added benefit of gaining you influence and not having the captured lords run free and immediately going back to gathering troops.
I trimmed all fat from the video so it should move a lot quicker. I appreciate the feedback from the previous guides. Also, I'm considering still making the funny/meme stuff and posting them as shorts, let me know if that's something you would like to see! Thank you all for your support over the last month - we went from 0 subscribers to 300 in a single month! I really appreciate it and I'll keep up the hard work putting out these guides. Through my Steward guide testing just now, I found another way to level Charm: Rescuing nobles from an enemy army through battle. If a noble is a prisoner of an army and you defeat said army, you can release them and gain huge relations boost & XP!
The level of effort you put into this videos is astounding, i hope you get the views you deserve for your work. On another note, do you know exactly how donating money affects relationship gain? Like, how much money do you have to donate for maximun relationship gain.
Thank you for the kind words! I appreciate that the effort does get noticed. For donating money, there didn't seem to be any difference between how much I gave to how much relationship gain was awarded. There was a minimum threshold to get the gain though, the lowest I saw was $4k but it's possible it could go lower. XP seemed to vary, but it wasn't coherent. I gifted 10M denar and got 60 XP, then gave 71k and got 1200XP lol. It's possible one was a faction leader and the other was regular noble, I didn't track that unfortunately, but it's not a good way to gain XP anyhow. Great for relationship though!
I know, it's very... secretive as to how it actually works. TaleWorlds seems to love doing that lol, But it does provide me with some fun data collecting and experimenting so I'm not complaining. Glad you got some value from it, thank you for watching!
@@Flesson19 ah dang I should have thought of that too, I just did the guide on roguery! If I recall, the relation gain was 38 at level 300 charm. That's a huge increase so the XP will be pretty good there I think. Gonna test it right now.
Prison Break Charm XP: Regular Nobles = 300XP for Charm Clan Leader = 6000XP for Charm Faction Leader = 9000XP Found a random one - Declaring peace from barter screen as solo faction gives 60XP to charm
Hahaha I think I finally stopped doing that after 2k hours into the game? I'm currently 3.5k hours in so I know the feeling all too well :) Thanks for watching! Lol nonono I got 2 little ones already and can barely manage, no more kids for me! :D
Welcome to the Time-Blackhole that is Bannerlord lol. I'm a little over 2k hours (and I took a 6 month break, had 1st kid) and I still find myself staying up way too late playing. Thank you for watching and I'm glad you found some use from the guides! Don't hesitate to leave a comment if you have any questions about stuff or want to make a request for a future guide. I'm always happy to help when I have free time!
Thanks! Yeah it's interesting how they make each skill work. I felt like I understood it pretty well, but after doing these guides I felt like I didn't know much :P
Okay got it, I'll have to run some tests to see how many, which kind of nobles (normal, clan leader, faction leader) etc. It's in my notes page for traits now, thank you! Once I get enough of them, I'll be sure to make a guide on it.
Hi Strat, thank you for your guide! I'm playing 1.1.5 now and the mechanism may have changed. From my test, leading a party(with a morale higher than 75) and just waiting on the map won't give any XP. I can earn XP in the following ways. 1 recruit troops & prisoners 2 upgrade troops 3 fight battles (with morale >=75 ?) 4 lead army
Had no idea about being voted in as leader if they died.... Derthert may be the victim of a tragic accident very soon (Thanks for another awesome video!)
Hey Strat, one request please. Love this video, this series is easily the best I’ve found for Bannerlord. Could you please change the thumbnail though? Just worried it shows the leadership of president Putin to be something aspirational. Given the events of the last couple of days…. Thanks again for all your hard work.
Thank you for watching! Yeah this started out as a meme, I had Putin and Trump together lol but then the whole "everyone hates Trump" thing was an issue and now this idiot invades another country, so I think you might be right. Even though it's a joke, it's probably best to change it. Thanks for bringing this up, I actually forgot I used him for a TN.
Got a legit leader in the TN now, it's no longer a meme :) Thanks for bringing it to my attention btw, I've got close to 100 videos now and It's hard to remember everything.
Sounds like the Algorithm was sleeping lol welcome to the channel :) Let me know if can't find anything in any of the videos and i'll do my best to answer!
Thank you for watching! I'm really glad these are helpful :) Yea it's been such a fun play through so far, although the next time I do it I will probably take it a bit slower lol It's a little more stress added trying to do everything as quickly as possible.
It's barely worth mentioning, but you also get leadership XP from recruiting troops. It's pretty minimal though. You can also get infinite leadership in the tutorial on day 1 by recruiting and dismissing troops. The game just gives you more money to recruit more. Although this is slow and boring. You can also do the Radagos hideout over and over to improve combat skills/medicine. If your brother dies during the tutorial, he will stay alive until you rescue him, when he immediately dies for real this time. I also worked out how to take Radagos's gear. You have to save with the attack window open before you do the hideout. Then you reload with the window open. From here you can just take his gear by going to inventory, or wait until after the raid and take it when the loot window pops up.
Yeah I forgot to include that I guess, must have edited it out on accident lol It's in my notes and everything :P Oh that's interesting lol I wonder how long it would take to get to level 150 to convert bandits from the tutorial?? Wow I didn't know you could get his gear haha jack that fool :) Does he have anything good to use or sell??
@@Strat-Guides He has the cheaper green horse mail which is the most expensive item. His regular chest armor mail is decent, and his civilian sword is also worth a fair bit, and is not a civilian sword, so he cheats. The rest aren't particularly noteworthy. As for getting to 150 leadership, longer than I have the patience to test. I did get to 100 1H for duelist though and 25 medicine for the 30% HP restore, which can also be exploited to attack lesser bandits and then repeatedly leave to go from 30% to 100%.
@@S2Tubes He seems like the type to cheat... lol That's pretty decent gear then! I wonder when they will patch that - It seems like they should have put some more constraints on that lol leaving and coming back in shouldn't be a viable strategy :P
Haha the UA-cam gods are pleased :) Thank you! I really enjoy javelin'ing Derthert in the back of the head for some reason. I almost enjoy when he doesn't die, because it means I can do it again soon haha
I don't normally comment but I want to boost your content. Your approach makes my number oriented nerd-brain happy. You also made me realize I could use a spread sheet for a lot of the things I try to keep track of & now I do use spread sheets lol Edit; Also you have good humor!
Well I really appreciate the support! I know what you mean, numbers don't lie and they don't betray :D Very cool, life is so much easier when you don't have to remember things to stay organized! It's been a game changer for me as well.
Thank you! I appreciate the support and kind words. I should have the trade guide ready by the end of the week AND the Joan of Arc Let's Play this week. I just spent (literally) 18 hours working on a 3 minute introduction yesterday so now I just need to record the 1st ep, it should be epic!
I managed to get 300 charm very easy as well as 100 relationships with many notables in my latest play through. 1.6.2 game version . I think it might be a good addition to your guide . Step 1 : take as many lords prisoners as you could (4-5 is enough for 1 donation) . Step 2: donate them to friendly settlement . Step 3: gain lots of charm xp and relation with city or castle owner. I feel like this method is 5 time faster for gaining charm xp than releasing lords after battle. I managed to get 100 relationship with all lords of 3 different factions really quick using this method . Note that I played as mercenary for western and southern empire than I played as vassal and it worked in both situations . It would be nice if you test this method to know xp gain .
This used to be one of my go-to strategies for leveling charm, but when I tested it (1.6.3) the XP gain for donating nobles didn't work. They must have turned it off or it bugged out. You would still gain the influence, but not charm XP or relationship gain. I'll test it again in this recent 1.6.4 patch, hopefully it's working again!!
I don't know if somebody told already about it, but fastest way to level charm is to put noble prisoners in some other clan's castle or town. But after each battle you can buy noble prisoners from other nobles of you army. It can gives 10-15 points of charm per noble.
Lol yeah. This is the 2nd change I had to make actually. I initially had Putin and Trump as a meme, but Trump triggers people and then Putin is, well, being Putin so that was a necessary change :)
As far as i have noticed you can lvl up charm from sending your companions on quests you don't want to do. And the scout perk that gives relations when you walk into a city or village
Interesting, I forgot to test those but it makes sense they would give Charm since those actions give relationship gains. Thank you for that, I'll add it to my notes!
One year later... For charm farming you got yo use the "Miguel's Special" - You abuse the fact that the AI calculates it's strength for engaging using all forces in the vicinity to bait several friendly party's into an enemy army. Then you stop before enganging and let them lose and be captured by the enemy after that you swiftly dispatch the enemy army with yours, liberating all friendly lords in the process and freeing all enemy lords after battle. Massive charm and relations gain.
Perfect explanation, timestamps, good footage... I just found out about this your chanel and I loved it! Thanks for all the content bro, hope this chanel grows :)
@@Strat-Guides The possitive feedback is well deserved. There are channels that have thousands of subs and been uploading content for years but still don't come close to your level of quality.
Yeah it started out as a meme with Putin and Trump, but a lot of hate for Trump so I switched it. Then after the invasion some people reminded me and I changed it.
Glad you like it! I appreciate your support. Also, You're the first person to know - but I just launched the discord server and you're welcome to join! It's very barebones right now, but I posted all of my data from each guide in the "useful guide section" so if you want to see any of that, it's all free. I also posted the hero builder so everyone can mess with that. discord.gg/59hjSTnR
Yup trading is next! I have enough data to make your head explode lol I can tell you this though... The great thing about trading is that there are only a couple efficient ways to level it so it's not that complicated. Thank you for the support!
I was like great another long ass video to explain a minute of stuff!!! Then I was like oh this guy's he explains everything I need to know and how to accomplish it I'll allow it lol.
Lol I try to not waste anyone's time :) Although these guides are going to be slightly off now with 1.8.0. I'll be making a video detailing all of the changes made soon.
Holy crap i was today years old when I noticed that Presence affects ALL towns you enter. I am in a neutral/not one of my kingdom towns and they are getting MY Presence bonus to security! Obviously not a big deal if you're only there to trade or recruit but just a head sup don't stay there for 24hrs if you don't want to help them. Or maybe if you need to help an ally?! Damn that's totally unexpected.
Interesting, if I recall the buff happens on the daily tick so you can just pop out of town for a second and let it go by, then go back in. Good catch btw, thank you!
Thank you for the encouragement! It really means a lot to a new channel like this one. After I finish the trading guide, I plan on working on all intelligence skills at the same time. If the video is too long, I may break them up, BUT I will cover medicine in the first video for sure! I have not done all the research yet, but I can give you a head start tip: When you siege a town or castle, make sure the enemy builds catapults. Once they build 3 or 4 catapults, go into the fight and set all of your troops to hold position within range of the catapult (but not too close that they get hit from accurate archer/xbow fire). Any hit from a catapult is an INJURY and never a KILL so you will get TONS of injuries, which translates into massive medicine XP gain!
I just got 115 levels LEVELS in my charm skills when I married Asarai leader's daughter via dialog when doing "Talk to nobles quest." When I married my brother to Batanian's King kin, I got another 50 levels. I was clan tier 1.
Nice! Anything that gives you relations gain will also give Charm XP so that makes sense. I'll add that to the list for when I have to redo the guide, thank you for the heads up!
@@ivan200804 Interesting, I wonder why that is? It would be interesting to see if the XP gain is tied to the stats of the bride? Thank you for the heads up on that!
@@Strat-Guides So I've tried a different built and it did not have a lot of charm (2 only) allocated and the gain was only 25. When you marry your brothers, they gain charm. When you marry off your sister or child, charm gain goes to them as well.
I tried to cut out the little extras that I was including in the previous guides that had nothing to do with Bannerlord - so hopefully even more concise! Thank you for your continued support my brotha from anotha motha!
@@Strat-Guides i am glad you do not get 100% kill rate with friendly fire on your own companions and family.........whoops lol, i have even shot my own wife by mistake.
Damn. Could you put this in writing? So much good information but I kept getting distracted by the battle scenes. I guess I could put this on auto-play and just listen while I go about my day. I am sure I would pick up new information each time it looped.
Thanks for watching! I have someone working on build out a website to host all of this on and my plan is to have the video and the script on the same page, so once that's all done it should help some! If you want to head over to the discord and message me, I can share the link to my notion page in the meantime. discord.gg/v86qW3mENU
Thank you! I missed a few on this one, but the comment section got me covered : ) I'm sure I'll have to redo this one at some point so I'll make sure everything makes it in the next version.
The fastest way to level charm late game is to give prisoner lords to towns/castles owned by other lords. My latest playthrough I ignored charm till late game then dumped 5 focus into it turned in 6 enemy lords and jumped from 8 charm to 112.
@@Strat-Guides it is also spamable if you leave and re-enter the donate prisoner menu it will reward both the xp and influence again I bankrupted a kingdom as a Merc cause they suddenly had to pay me 500k because I had so much influence. It also makes it easy to level up both charm and your character
@@bekimpedersenali2620 I heard about that exploit recently, I guess you don't even need to give the prisoners up? Lol that's TaleWorlds math at it's finest :D I suspect this will be patched real soon though.
Ah dang I should have included it in the guide. I can post them here for now and add them to the next video - Level 1 Leadership - 13 days to convert 10 T2 troops Level 100 Leadership - 6.5 days to convert 10 T2 troops Level 200 Leadership - 5.5 Days to convert 10 T2 Troops Level 300 Leadership - 4.5 Days tp convert tp T2 troops Thanks for watching and keep me posted if you have something else you want researched and I'll do my best!
Thanks for the very helpful guide. I might be asking for too much but do you possibly have any plans regarding Perk suggestions? The clips might get longer but No one really keeps it updated.
No problem! As for the perks, I plan on doing something with it, but I don't think I'll go one by one as that would be too boring and probably not all that useful lol. I was thinking maybe doing one of those Tier list ranking, from SS tier down to D or F and maybe do groups of 3 at a time - Vigor, control, etc. That way I could lump all the bad ones together without having to talk about them and spend a little time on the good ones. Would that work for you?
Tip for a question: You can also get leadership EXP when you recruit from notables, I'd guess it's the same formula as prisoners. QUESTION: For the 125 leadership perk Parade, do you know if the secondary effect is for troops of your birth culture (from char creation) or you faction culture, like if you make a kingdom and choose it's culture?
Yeah I missed that one, sorry! It was in my notes, but somehow didn't make it into the script. My best guess is - I'm an idiot :) If I recall, it's only the ones of your birth. Typically, when they say culture in the perk description they mean actual culture from birth. When they say faction, it usually means which kingdom you are part of. Perfect example is the ones that reduce trade for same "faction" - they only work when you are mercenary or vassal for that kingdom.
@@Strat-Guides I miss spoke, it's called presence no parade, but I agree, although that perks description calls it your faction, but I also think it's birth culture and not really faction.
Haha for sure, but fortunately I didn't get to all the perks just yet! The XP should still act the same. I have Charm perks on my list for 2 weeks from now, so excellent timing :)
On the topic of Charm: Have they patched the old method of "gifting prisoners"? When I last played, which was around december-january, there was a Charm exploit that I personally found without guide, I couldn't really find anyone mentioning the exploit but I didn't do much digging. The method is this: If a vassal from the same faction as you has captured any prisoners in their town or castle, you can walk up to that same place and go into the prisoner management menu. With or without off-loading prisoners, if you hit accept you'll be given Charm levels for the prisoners present inside the settlement when you hit "accept". Effectively leveled me from the 70 Charm I had accumulated from fighting gang members to well over 300 and hit the current hard cap I had, where even at lvl 280 I still got 10+ skill points per accepted "prisoner transfer". IIRC there were 7 enemy lords taken prisoner and a few mid-high tiered enemy troops + the odd bandit troops.
Wow that's a crazy exploit! I have not tested that, but I think it's not working anymore because I remember going to towns and castles to test the charm XP for donating and I was only getting influence and not charm. I'm wondering if they turned off the charm XP because of what you mentioned here lol their way of fixing it - disable! I'll have to check that out though just to make sure. Great info, thanks!
@@Strat-Guides Does sound like a patch it then haha. At the time it did give crazy relation gain, I remember getting relation gains with the whole clan I gifted prisoners to + faction leader full clan. Kind of smart workaround to have it grant influence instead, I think it's a much more sensible gain even if I'm sad to hear leveling charm is that slight bit harder again. If the exploit still is functional however you'll have an inexhaustible influence source instead. I tried to find a screenshot of the exploit but sadly I only have one of the aftermath. Capped at 316 charm with 5 fp's and 9 social. Done on what most likely was the current beta release of January 24.
Have you investigated how much exp donating a lord prisoner to a settlement gives? I used that to get max charm and I'd say that it gives more exp than letting a lord go free
That is an excellent point - I totally forgot about it! First thing I did when I saw your comment was load up my save from the guide. I captured a regular noble, clan leader and faction leader, but for some reason I was not getting relationship gain! I was getting 4 influence for the regular, 12 for clan leader and 24 for faction leader but not a single relation gain. I reloaded and tried at different cities, but it's not working. I know i've gotten relations gain before for doing that, so I know it works. However, I also know i've done it before and gotten 0 for it. I'll have to figure out what the trigger is and get back to you if I find it. Thank you so much for pointing this out!!!
Good job, 2 things, You mentioned recruiting prisoners to get leadership exp but didnt see regular troops which gives exp from settlements. Second, according to the devs, there is a multiplier for army leadership exp gained from your current morale, the higher it is over 75 gives 1 per 1,000 troops X skill multiplier, so a 2,000 man army with 100 morale and 10 EXP mult. would get 500 leadership a day more than someone than 75, did you get morale when checking army leadership xp?
Dang I feel like an idiot LOL that's such an obvious one I missed - Thank you for picking up on that! When they patch these two skills and I have to redo the guide, I'll make sure these are both in. I just tested them and here are the results: Recruiting XP follows the same pattern as converting prisoners, Tier 1 = 2xp, Tier 2 = 4xp, add 2 to each tier. I had no clue about the high morale and it was a really interesting result!! Here is what it is: At 75 Morale, 0XP per troops. 76 Morale = 0.1XP per troop. 80 morale = 0.1667XP per troop. 90 morale = 0.333XP per troop. 95 Morale = 0.41667XP per troop. 100 morale = 0.5XP per troop. I also ran it at near max morale, so 50 base, 30 from levels, 50 from local events and 2 from food (forgot to get all food for absolute max) so 132 morale and the XP actually goes DOWN! 132 morale = 0.3XP per troop. It seems there is some rounding error once you go over 100. TaleWorlds Math! hahaha
@@Strat-Guides trust me I make miatake all the time even after listening to it during and after editing, also I am using the crossbow and I thought in the other video dmg doesn't matter for exp, I upgrade my bow and it feels like I get more exp
That's a tricky one because I have data points for huge damage kills (190 damage hit) that gave less XP than just barely over (102 damage). There are a lot of factors that go into it, but the biggest one seems to be distance to the kill. That one is for sure measurable. I had stated in the ranged guide that there is a very weak correlation to damage and XP so I think you're right that there is some difference, but it's just not a very big one from what I can tell. Another odd one was relative speed. It didn't seem to have any effect on XP unless you were going slower than both being stationary (as in one running away and one standing still, giving negative relative speed) which gave less XP than usual. I went full speed with the best horse and 300 riding and got minimum XP for a kill, so I'm not sure what's going on under the hood in regards to that.
@@Strat-Guides Actually, I was thinking alike, that I got this trait accumulated during the game. Just after your video realized, that I became merciful right after the daughter's quest. Don't remember, if I killed her lover, or convinced her/them both))).
@@Strat-Guides Will really appreciate. BTW, do you talk to the devs or this games? I have soooo many requests... Well, the games envelops nicely anyway, but I'm very curious if they plan to do some things I really want to add, or but wait for the mods.
@@AndriiGryganskyi unfortunately I don't, but I know Flesson19 has some connections with devs, might be worth a shot asking him? I may reach out to them in the near future though, so hopefully!
A couple of questions: The first, how do you disable or limit your companions in the clan menu from recruiting so many troops. The first time I released me brother to raise his whole army he had me broke within days. I had to disband his army. Secondly, if you decide to take over a kingdom (I had no idea you could do this) vs starting your own then is it treated as if you started your own? Do you then give yourself the banner? I fear poor King Derthert 👑 is going to suffer a terrible accident on the field of battle.
Under the clan tab, find the party you want to limit recruitment for - click on them and look to the bottom right. Uncheck "Unlimited Wage" and then move the "Party Wage" slider all the way to the left. This will cap them at 100 Denar per day party size, which is pretty small. That should help a lot! When you take over a faction, nothing really changes as far as who owns what, which policies are enacted, etc. But you're in a much better place optimize things. It should be easier to get influence and get rid of bad policies, enact good ones, make sure you get votes for fiefs you want, etc. Much easier than starting your own Kingdom!
@@Strat-Guides Thanks for the replies. Do you know how it would affect the quest? I know I could normally start my own kingdom or give another king the pieces but I have no idea how it would work if I take over another kingdom.
@@Joe_Friday no problem! I'm not sure about the quest, but there might be some people on the discord that would. You should stop by sometime, there are a few creators on there like Flesson19 and a bunch of diehard Bannerlord players that have a ton of knowledge as well!
Thank you for watching! I totally agree, but the issue I was running into is that doing these AND perks would bloat the video to 30 - 40 minutes, which would be a problem. I am going through all of the perks right now, so they will be covered in time! Each skill perks video take about 20 - 30 hours each to produce from start to finish so I can get 1 - 2 per week until they are all covered.
@@Strat-Guides sounds good I like those more focused videos. Generally I know quite a bit about the game but so many perks just straight up do not do what they say they do and there is no re specing I hate to choose the wrong thing.
Thank you for watching! I have in my pipeline a guide on everything related to managing a town/castle so that should cover that when I get to that one. That's such a good idea about the emissary, I TOTALLY forgot! I should have included it in this Charm section, Doh! Thanks for the heads up, I'll look for a spot to sneak it in for another video.
I wish there was an "algorithm getting stabbed" emoji, because this would be perfect for it. Somehow I don't think UA-cam would like the violent insinuation though lol
I have not had a chance to cover the Charm perks just yet, but all of the XP and leveling info shouldn't have changed much. They added a couple more ways to level charm like promoting companions to nobles, that one gives a TON of XP :D
very usefull, im thinking about something i dont get very well in the game, what can be the best skill tree for a governor\only companion? any time i give them just Steward and enginering, for a better defence, but i belive can be more on it so maybe a preset list for companions and even players can be nice
Thank you for watching! Yes you're 100% right about that, steward is a good skill tree to follow for a governor, BUT the good perks are scattered all throughout the other skills so it's hard to say any one skill is best. I do plan on working on a guide for that! Until then, I have a Hero Builder database where you can easily search for ALL governor perks in the game and put together a good list :D
@@ModulusOrbis Sorry I should have clarified, you can access the database from the Discord server, check "useful-guide-info" and look for Hero Builder: discord.gg/BwcJ8ZHf
Isn't the quest where you have to find someones daughter alot better for xp gain if you actually try to convince her to go back to her dad? Since you gained the merciful trait I assume you just let them be instead of trying to cinvince her which causes the convincing event.
That's an interesting question and I didn't test for that... but what you're saying makes total sense. Based on the patterns that TW likes to follow, I would assume you are correct that it would give more XP that way. I'll make a note to test that when I have to update the guide. Thank you for that!!
@@Strat-Guides Np mate, I'm not sure if it changes anything since I just noticed that I have gotten the merciful trait aswell after only doing one quest where I convinced her to go back to her dad. Interesting, I didn't know the items were deposited into their inventory! That's a great idea to buy the supplies back afterwards, thanks for the tip :D
The Leadership thumbnail be hittin different right now
Lol yeah this one is much better :)
Bruh. That looks unreal. XD
Cringe
Putin should be on the Rogue skill

Great guide. One important addition for charm: Instead of releasing captured enemy lords to improve relationship with them, you can also donate them as prisoners to any town or castle dungeon of an allied lord to gain relationship with the owner and influence points - similar as when releasing them, the amount of relationship and influence gained is very high for clan leaders and faction leaders. I suppose the relationship gain and XP gain is about the same as when releasing the lords. but it has the added benefit of gaining you influence and not having the captured lords run free and immediately going back to gathering troops.
Oh my gawd the little naked smeagle running around with a 2 hander MURDERING at the start has me rolling!
Hahaha he needs to protect his precioussssss.... lol
FINALLY A GUIDE FOR THIS. Could never figure out how to do a charisma playthrough.
I know, it's very... secretive as to how it actually works. TaleWorlds seems to love doing that lol, But it does provide me with some fun data collecting and experimenting so I'm not complaining. Glad you got some value from it, thank you for watching!
@@Strat-Guides it's fun to learn through trial and error.
Prison breaks are good also and relation gains are amazing
@@Flesson19 ah dang I should have thought of that too, I just did the guide on roguery! If I recall, the relation gain was 38 at level 300 charm. That's a huge increase so the XP will be pretty good there I think. Gonna test it right now.
Prison Break Charm XP:
Regular Nobles = 300XP for Charm
Clan Leader = 6000XP for Charm
Faction Leader = 9000XP
Found a random one - Declaring peace from barter screen as solo faction gives 60XP to charm
I love your guide. Very detailed and with hard facts. Leaving this comment for the algorithm gods.
The Gods have smiled upon your textual sacrifice. Thank you!!
Quite the prophetic thumbnail sir.
Lol I had to change it recently. It wasn't funny anymore given the circumstances so I figured I would make it more accurate!
Every few videos of yours I watch, I realize I need to restart and try a new build. Thanks again dad. Amazing content!
Hahaha I think I finally stopped doing that after 2k hours into the game? I'm currently 3.5k hours in so I know the feeling all too well :) Thanks for watching!
Lol nonono I got 2 little ones already and can barely manage, no more kids for me! :D
Nice choice for the updated thumbnail 👌
Lol it started out as a meme with Putin and Trump a few months back and it's been morphing ever since. I think this one is much more appropriate!
Thanks for all these thorough guides! Can't wait to see more.
Thank you for watching!
Just started this game and was looking for some help with the skill system. Best guide I have found on UA-cam so far.
Hey Strat!
Just wanted to tell you how much I like these videos.
Hope your channel makes it big some day! You're doing fantastic.
Thank you!! I appreciate the support :)
We are a little over 2 months in and I think we will hit 5K before the end of the 3rd, pretty cool!
This aged like fine wine
@@wr0ng569 Heh, I completely forgot about this comment. Super happy to see that Strat's channel has indeed grown considerably! :)
I love watching these. Answering questions I won’t ever ask but will probably use now.
Haha nice! Answering questions you didn't know that you didn't know :)
Excellent stuff! I always enjoy having a high charm and next time I play I will know how to get it up there fast.
Thank you for watching! I'm almost done with the trade guide and it should be out on time on Friday.
You are now one of my favourite Bannerlord channel. Thank you for the great videos.
Thank you for the support! It really means a lot :D
I always spam Charm and Lead ( And Steward) so I almost didn't watch this. I am glad I did. You make fun stuff.
Thanks! Yeah it's interesting how they make each skill work. I felt like I understood it pretty well, but after doing these guides I felt like I didn't know much :P
I gained “Merciful” from releasing enough enemy nobles after battle
Okay got it, I'll have to run some tests to see how many, which kind of nobles (normal, clan leader, faction leader) etc. It's in my notes page for traits now, thank you! Once I get enough of them, I'll be sure to make a guide on it.
Hi Strat, thank you for your guide! I'm playing 1.1.5 now and the mechanism may have changed.
From my test, leading a party(with a morale higher than 75) and just waiting on the map won't give any XP.
I can earn XP in the following ways.
1 recruit troops & prisoners
2 upgrade troops
3 fight battles (with morale >=75 ?)
4 lead army

Many thanks for these guides. I'm also enjoying your speedrun WC as Frederick der Grosse.
Thank you for watching! I'm really glad these are helpful :) Yea it's been such a fun play through so far, although the next time I do it I will probably take it a bit slower lol It's a little more stress added trying to do everything as quickly as possible.
As many others have said, FINALLY A GUIDE FOR ALL THIS
Thanks for watching! Cool name, does it have to do with stochastic by chance?

You deserved an algorithm comment...:) Loved the traitor part.
Haha the UA-cam gods are pleased :) Thank you! I really enjoy javelin'ing Derthert in the back of the head for some reason. I almost enjoy when he doesn't die, because it means I can do it again soon haha

Thank you! I'm pretty excited for the intelligence video as I think it's one of the more useful skill groups (maybe the most??).
Excellent as always brother. Keep it up, great content.
Thank you! I appreciate the support :D
All your videos are top notch. I'm a very happy subscriber, thanks!

I love your videos Strat Gaming! Keep up the good work. If I may make a humble request, please teach us how to level medicine faster!
Well done mate, your guide helped me

@@Strat-Guides Just to add, when I tried to marry off sister to a different leader, that did not generate a lot of charm xp.

@@Strat-Guides I've been looking for good Bannerlord content for a long time and finally found it on your channel
My best guess is - I'm an idiot :)
If I recall, it's only the ones of your birth.
@@Ananda_The_Destroyer Oh gotcha. Yeah it seems to be random, based on who was doing the coding at that time lol

YOOOO whats up with your intros LOL... They are either hilarious like this one or filled with mad skill.
Hehe I thought this one was good. I got some feedback about the intros being too long so now they are all 15 - 20s max :)
@@Elrohof Dang that's crazy. Fortunately charm isn't too hard to grind up, but if you don't have to grind in the first place, then I'm all for it!
Playing on 1.6.3 It Is disappeared. You only gain influence
@@enricobustaffa7461 Do you know if that was a bug or they intentionally removed it? I miss the days I could donate nobles :(
Have you investigated how much exp donating a lord prisoner to a settlement gives?
@@Strat-Guides there is a bug right now causing this, need to wait for hotfix to try and get data on this
That makes sense, I'll be sure to check it again once it's patched!
I just tested them and here are the results:
Recruiting XP follows the same pattern as converting prisoners, Tier 1 = 2xp, Tier 2 = 4xp, add 2 to each tier.
@@Strat-Guides that could be it maybe I'm moving more causing the dmg to be higher
Very good
Thank you!!
Hey, I also became merciful for the daughter's quest.
Okay got it, i'm marking it in my traits guide notes! When I get a few more I will release a video on it but I'm missing a bit of data for now.
@@Strat-Guides Actually, I was thinking alike, that I got this trait accumulated during the game. Just after your video realized, that I became merciful right after the daughter's quest. Don't remember, if I killed her lover, or convinced her/them both))).
@@AndriiGryganskyi I can run some tests doing a bunch of find the daughter quests to see what it takes, thanks again!
Big fan of prison breaks, but considering letting more of them die in the escape mission to really damage factions.
Yeah maybe you "accidentally" hit them in the back of the head 5 times with your throwing daggers to make sure lol
@@Strat-Guides what an excellent idea.
10:51 lmao he punched that dude off his horse!
Haha the famed muay thai "Super Man Punch" !
I noticed on some of your videos you do not go through perks. Choosing which perk to use is very useful and I wish you would have included it.
@@cnconrad7803 I know what you mean! I'm doing the throwing perks right now and already found a couple that are not working properly lol
Great contents. Bro can you do the emissary and rebellions system. I think they are quite good system.
+50 Upvote for timestamps
Thank you! I make sure to timestamp anything that isn't a let's play :D
@@Strat-Guides Well worth a sub :D
Nice.
I wish there was an "algorithm getting stabbed" emoji, because this would be perfect for it. Somehow I don't think UA-cam would like the violent insinuation though lol
It is looking like with patch 1.7.0, Charm is going to have to be revised.
I have not had a chance to cover the Charm perks just yet, but all of the XP and leveling info shouldn't have changed much. They added a couple more ways to level charm like promoting companions to nobles, that one gives a TON of XP :D
These videos are ppppprreeccioussssssss.
Lol smeagol!!
@@Strat-Guides Thats what I thought you were going for with that character at the start.
@@kebertxela941 Haha he could pass for smeagol!
0:04 tell smeagle to calm down precious isn't there.
Hahaha he does look like him :D
I see what you did there ;-)
Lol :D
very usefull, im thinking about something i dont get very well in the game, what can be the best skill tree for a governor\only companion?
any time i give them just Steward and enginering, for a better defence, but i belive can be more on it
so maybe a preset list for companions and even players can be nice
Thank you for watching! Yes you're 100% right about that, steward is a good skill tree to follow for a governor, BUT the good perks are scattered all throughout the other skills so it's hard to say any one skill is best. I do plan on working on a guide for that! Until then, I have a Hero Builder database where you can easily search for ALL governor perks in the game and put together a good list :D
@@Strat-Guides noice i will search it ty
If we can get the trait from rescuing people from prison then thats where I might have got it aswell.
Great video as always.
Holy cow u had zelensky as the leadership poster boy 6 months ago.

Edit: Lol now I'm reading the other comments about this too
Originally it was Putin and Trump, then it changed, then changed again recently due to events so it's had quite the journey for a poor little thumbnail lol
