- Following this, Chinese coast guard ships started frequently appearing around Kinmen, openly provoking Taiwan's sovereignty. On March 16, they sent four coast guard ships into restricted waters around Kinmen, staying within Taiwan's territorial waters for over an hour! China's state-run Global Times falsely claimed that the Chinese coast guard "broke through" Kinmen's waters, asserting China's "sovereignty" over Taiwan, which was clearly a political intimidation tactic against Taiwan.

The U.S. famously has absolutely no chill when it comes to people messing with their ships. So I would be a lot more careful if I was the Chinese coastguard.
