If you were a teenager and rocked to this in the 80's your all living legends!!!
Living legend huh? I'll take it! X

ROCK ON!!!!!!
oh the 80's were a lot of fun.

Definitely!! Love this song still!!🤘🤘🤘💥🔥🎸
@D j mahaney class of 86 here. Idk how I survived my teen years. But I'm glad we did. My poor parents 🤣
Still Rockn' it out at 55! Lol😂 80's Rocked!
me too!
Right there with ya sister!
And probably always will😊
I can't unsee it
55? Are you driving 55? Or can't you?
One of those classic rock songs that can never be played loud enough!
ain't that the truth \m/
Fuck yeah
Just heard it on the way home
Haven’t heard on a long time
“CRANK IT UP TO 11 & RIP THE KNOB OFF”
I agree
i know exactly what you mean
Totally agree
The legendary Cozy Powell makes this song really rock us!
Thank you for actually knowing the drummer on this song and yes you're correct he's a badass lol 🤘🤘🤘
I was a massive Whitesnake fan in the late 80s and early 90s. No grunge for this girl. I remember playing this song to my mother, she didn't raise an eyebrow, but then said "I can see why you like him". And then we both laughed.
One cool mama!
I never thought of him as a Robert Plant clone. He's got a deeper voice.
I respect grunge but I don't like it.
I like it all. Rock, glam, hair, grunge, death and prog metal. It's all fucking awesome.
U rock girl
I'm 66 years old and this STILL gets me stomping me feet and tapping the desk.!
You're never too old to rock amigo!
17 and when I was younger we used to live next to a park that would do tribute concerts during the summer it was always very nice but I was far to young to really enjoy it but now I bet I would love to go back
I would love to play this in a cover band.
I only listen to White Snake in the still of the night , but here I go again
So cool bro.
This song kicked ass then and kicks ass now. I just wish there was an extended version……………that’s what she said !!
There is! This version is cut down a minute or two for the video.
Time to get a hardon and kick asses!😮❤❤❤😊
One of the most underrated songs out there. One of my favorites.
Why would you say this song is underrated?
@@CalebTrask I just don't think this song gets the credit it deserves. Its not on any top list or anything like that. Other Whitesnake songs get way more play.
@@busterellis7188 The video got a lot of rotation! It's the only reason I know the song. But a song is either a hit or it's not. They tried, and it didn't take off, much like the title track.
David’s voice is flawless
Hello, how are you doing? It is nice seeing you here.
NEVER get tired of this entire album. I’m 51 and it album still gets me 🥰
Yep, 55 here, I was stationed in Germany in the Army when this album came out and I first heard it.
Since then I've owned it on album, cassette, CD and now iPod.
Whitesnake should send me a Christmas card every year for funding their retirement.
Duke Craig
LOL It’s definitely great music.
@@metal4life-r41 66 here and I love these guys. Saw them in '86
Amen !!! Me to haha good things never die !!! Ml
Yes hell yeah all the way
This song is whitesnake at their best! Slow an easy...their best song of all time! David coverdale is absolutely amazing! Love the drums guitars and clapping!
This was my head banging Music
Cozy Powell??
@@charleslattimer1406 I think that is Cozy Powell
@@williamgolden839Yes it is. Cozy was a great drummer
@@charleslattimer1406
Yes, none other than Cozy Powell himself.
WoW!!! What a theme!!! What lineup!!! What a Band!!!!! What a Singer!!! What sensual they were and are!!! I love Whitesnake!!! And David Coverdale and all his musicians. ❤😻
Man was I blessed to grow up in the best decades of music!
Totally agree me too 80s the best
@@chriswildhaber35 Sooo good! When days were SO much more magical. Thankfully the music can still transport us to those magical moments. The kids today have no idea what good music is. Oh well.
Play on Chris, play on!
I grew up during the days of Deep Purple, Foghat & Nazareth
The 80's were decent, but by no means the best. For rock, the 60's were best, 70's for country, 40's/50's for R&B, and 30's for Jazz/Blues.
@Christy Taylor You are so right Christy! I looove the music from the 60's and 70's!
THIS IS ROCK AND ROLL FOLKS!!!!
Yep nothing like the 80s hair bands & never will be! I'm glad I grew up in the 80s, I was 18 in 1987 when this AWESOME album came out.
Those drums kick in like thunder and the guitars is like lighting absolutely love this song so underrated
No shit! Its gozy Powell on drumms!
Top ten blues-rock voices ever..
The BEST song ever released by Whitesnake.
💯 agree!
Also the song Still of the Night!
*Who Is Still Listening To This Gem In 2019 - 2020?*
trinity trin hell yea!
Every Friday night!
oh yeah !!!
Almost everyday
I don't know what are you people listing for these days?
Coverdale, Sykes, Powell and Murray. The best Whitesnake.
Absolutely!!!!
The best Whitesnake lineup with the classic blues style!
This was one of the best things that came out of the 80s.I never tire of watching him,i mean this.Cozy&John made this band top tier.
80's was the best F'n music made💯
John Wilson absolutely the best
Sorry but it comes in 2nd (albeit a close 2nd), but the 70's was the best decade for music.
Sorry the 70s definitely rocked I was there but 80s heavy metal took Rock to a whole new level
amen to that your damn right 80s was the best hands down
I definitely grew up in the wrong era! First concert was Styx and reo speed wagon! I’m 24 and that concert was when I was 12 and I remember it like it was yesterday!! I thank my dad for the music! May he rest in pease!
I'm 1467 years old and still listening to this underrated gem in 2021!
I'm only 61...1467 is pretty old. Rock on dude
Be still my heart!
This song is pure fire! 🤟
Hell yeah 😂
Click like if you're still listening to this song in the year 3400!
Class of 87; the 80s so much fun, I don’t know how I’m still here either, and thank God there weren’t any cell phones 😂
Class of '86 brother, nothing like the 80s hair band & will never be. ROCKIN this song & Still of the Night on Memorial day 5/27/'24. Have this song on replay as I did in 1987 when I got this album on cassette. Had it & Still of the Night on replay at least 500 times. Wish I could hit the rewind button & go back to 1987.
David was millions in debt when he and Sykes wrote this album .. Job well done.
@@PPLL463 ya after using John for his songwriting and then booting him to the curb. Booted the whole damn band!
Sykes has wrote nada on this album, the co written songs are all from Mel Galley before DC fired him when he injured his hand; and a few co written with Micky Moody. When Moody left just after the release of the album Sykes took the spot
@@danofearmanggiafazzula1756 no Sykes co-wrote the two big hits from the 87 album.
@@tangerinerose3724 i'm speaking about the slide it in album. Sykes was not in the band at the time, though there are some guitar parts overdubbed on the US edition of the album. Sykes indeed co wrote the entire 1987 LP with DC and of course does all the guitars on it. And i don't try to minimise Sykes talents. I love that guy and he's a brilliant player.
@@danofearmanggiafazzula1756 oh ok yup
my all time favorite Whitesnake line up and song. RIP Cozy, keep rock Sykes!!!!!!!!
Except it's Mickey Moody and Mel Galley on this version. The US version has Sykes doing his little trills and noises. Galley and Moody were the workhorses
One of the absolute best in concert bands period!
My very first concert...it was supposed to be White Lion opening but I got lucky and it was switched to Great White back in 87. Both very very good. David gave me the best advice ever.... don't be dumb, don't be silly, put a snakeskin on your willy!!! And I've never had a child support payment lok
Thank God for the 80's
The 60's and 70's were great. There was a considerable amount of great music that came from that era. The 80's were something else.
This is my favorite song by whitesnake . This song rocks !
Hello, how are you doing? It is nice seeing you here.
@@davidcoverdale783 This is fucking hilarious
There will never be music like this again!! God bless the 80s
I swear, that guitar solo never, ever gets old! And Cozy's awesome groove that goes with it just adds to how great it is!
That voice! Always loved David Coverdale's raw, bluesy, rock vocals. Great track! Peace.
TO THE BONE
One fateful night in 1984, after leaving my then girlfriend’s house, I got in my brother’s Cutlass Supreme and upon starting the car this song came on and I was mesmerized and frozen in my seat, until the song ended. I had never heard of Whitesnake, until that night when the DJ on WPYX 106 in Albany, NY mentioned it, after the song ended. That was a good night in the spring of 1984.
1984 I was in Calgary and the best times of my life with bands and songs like this
I remember those special times with special girls
I luv it
This was a super cool story.
thanks for sharing!
Picks 106 awesome radio station
Love this song reminds me of the 80’s when we would rock out in the concerts!!!
Yep I was 18 when this AWESOME song & album came out.
David simplesmente ENTREGA TUDO nesse vocal. Que trabalho ❤
Cozy Powell was a BEAST !! There's hard hitting drummers and THEN THERE'S Cozy Powell
Man you are doing right. Miss him!!!!
Huge influence on my drumming style
The Best 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
You can never understand how great the eighties were unless you grow up then best decade ever. Decade of decadence.
Yep I was 18 when this AWESOME song & album came out & still ROCKIN this song & Still of the Night on Memorial day 5/27/'24!
Best White Snake Song Turn it up.
Don't forget about Still of the Night it ROCKS just as well!
I'm 63 still rockin
John Sykes and Cozy Powell. What a combo!
Russell Simonds john Sykes no grabó este disco, sólo aparece en el video... el solo de guitarra es Bernie Mardsen!
@@gustavobalseiro7726 I think Sykes plays on the US version of the song. Moody on UK version. Bernie Marsden does not play on either version.
Neil Murray as well
Love Cozy, miss him so much! 💋❤😢😭
I've been a follower of David Coverdale since his Deep Purple and early Whitesnake days in the 70's, and I truly feel that out of his entire catalog of work, the "Slide It In" album is still his best work to date - 2022. Him and Sykes just "worked". Too bad they had a falling-out.
I went to a bar across from a college and played this song. This knocked these college people off their feet. I had several people come up and ask me I don't know who or what you played but keep it coming. Lol.
Hello, how are you doing? It is nice seeing you here.
DC's Whitesnake - Awesome 🙂
I love this song,, I had already loved David, from when he was with Deep Purple,, He has a great voice,, What a fantastic band,,,,,, 🎸💜☮️🎹🎤
Cozy powell beating the drums like he's fighting with a sword. Definitely in top 5 drummers of all times!
Him and bill ward beat up drums like the drums betrayed a gang!
Damn rights!!
No doubt , he looks lethal drummer, he hits hard. One and only Cozy Powell RIP
Cozy Cool.
Rest in peace, Bernie... or not. Maybe just play this awesome piece of rock on continuous loop. You will be missed!
1988 keeps PUSHING. XOXO CAMI
Anyone listening to this song is guaranteed to become 8% cooler. ... guaranteed .
I listen to this constantly, my fav Whitesnake song and I am a pretty cool laid back cat

Only 8%? come on. 10%
I'll go as far as 20% at least
amen!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When I was in high school back in the 80's, whenever this song came on when I was driving, I would just mash the accelerator. Still get goosebumps.
Brings you back doesn't it? Wish those years could be lived again. My poor parents though 😁
Graduated from high school in 1986 I was 18 when this AWESOME song & album came out & still ROCKIN to this song on Memorial day 5/27/'24
I remember fishing on Lake Simcoe Ontario Canada listening to these tunes in the late '80s. Catching white fish perch lake trout great days.
Take me back to the 80’s and leave me there … society sucks so much ass now I wanna go back to when it was fun being alive
Yep that's right yes society does nothing like & never will be nothing like the 80s hair bands. I wish I could press the rewind button & go back to 1987 when this AWESOME song & album came out!
Cozy Powell and John Sykes it doesn't get any hotter than that then add David Coverdale. Lord have mercy
Amen beautiful amen!!!!
Omg you ain't lying girl!!!!
Yeah The Lord was still in the house ..
only just
And then David Coverdale fires the entire band in 1987. Damn!!!! John Sykes was hot! And a great guitar player.
And Neil Murray!
One the the very best songs to come out of the eighties, of any genre.
I'm 41, but I've been a Whitesnake fan for a long time. Love this song! It also gets me in the mood!😜🤘
All these years this song still kicks ass
I didn't realize that was around the time when Cozy Powell was Whitesnake's drummer
R. I.P.: Cozy Powell and Jon Lord
Coverdale was in Deep Purple with John Lord.
@@scottreal6232 no shit,Sherlock,thanks for asking..
Yeh, this was the last LEGIT album that Coverdale did with Whitesnake ("Slide It In") - hiring Lord and Powell was just the icing (but he never did use Lord to his fullest potential on this album) - after this album, Dave dyed his hair, kicked out all the veteran rockers (like Powell, Lord - who rejoined Purple - Moody and Galley - who couldn't perform due to an arm accident) and went full-on "LA" - it worked commercially, but it ruined Whitesnake's legacy... You can see by the time of this video, already John Sykes and Neil Murray are in the video, instead of the guys who recorded it - that's why the guitar solo is so disjointed visually - Sykes didn't perform it.
@@jondunmore4268 who performs the solo? Moody or Galley?
Correct but Jon Lords well as Ian Paice were members of Whitesnake also.
fantastic drummer.. RIP cozy powell
The entire Slide It Album kicks ass. Than it kicks it again!
I loved Whitesnake in the 80’s, brings back wonderful memories.
It was the best of time's for sure,I miss those days.
I love whitesnake, but also miss Steven Tyler,I have Steven Tyler's microform.
Are you kidding me with how bluesy and rocking this song is ?
I first heard this in the early 80's and it still is one of my all time favorites

The first Whitesnake song I heard back in the day !!! Bought the cassette....love this song...Nice and bluesy with guitar slide!!!
