Mark Tremonti is an absolute powerhouse of a songwriter and musician. Brian Marshall is an absolute monster on the Bass. Myles is constantly evolving which is so refreshing. He’s the same but not on every album for the better. Even in his side projects he doesn’t do the same ol’ thing.

Elizabeth, knowing your love of Myles' voice and your love of rock and orchestra I'm amazed you haven't done a reaction to Words Darker Than Their Wings from the Albert Hall concert. Although the song "Waters Rising" where Mark takes lead vocals is also amazing!
This is why they are one of the greatest rock bands ever. Then they kick it up several notches and drop heavy driving rhythms and riffs that have a Metallica like influence. This may be their best total album.

If I may let me leave you with two songs, which if you've heard you'll probably enjoy again. If not, hope you'll review. Incubus' In the Company of Wolves and Queen's The Prophet's Song. It’s so adorable how excited you get about the technicalities hahaha I totally get it cuz I do the same when it comes to guitar. Great review and reaction!
Whilst Words Darker Than Their Wings is a must for you to review, one of Myles purest performances was on the second Mayfield Four album Second Skin. The song Summergirl is stunning, the whole vocal track is actually the original demo Myles recorded. It’s delicate, vulnerable and powerful all at once. Would love to see your reaction to that song.
Alter Bridge is one of my favorite bands, and I love that you have fully gotten onto the Alter Bridge train and are so excited for their new music! All the layers are Myles i think, I thought it could be Mark but not deep enough! That flip into the imposto is awesome, been sat here doing that over and over haha. I had a lesson with Myles singing teacher Ron (RIP) and the pee muscles are the thing that's really started to help me hit Myles's higher notes...
They seem to love layering Myles voice as a way to add more background vocals, it happens in a lot of Alter Bridge songs. And you were spot on with Jeff Buckley, as Myles said himself the guy's one of his biggest influences in general BTW, I loved how giddy you got listening to this song 😁
Nothing short of amazing. That is my perpetual definition of Myles, and with this band?? Alter Bridge are extraordinary. Mark Tremonti deserves so much more credit than he receives! 🤩❤🔥🔥🔥🔥
Brilliant analysis as always, Elizabeth! All 4 of the singles released so far for the new Alter Bridge album have powerful vocal performances and lyrics by Myles. Please react to “Words Darker Than Their Wings” live at Royal Albert Hall or some of Myles’s songs with Slash like “Lost Inside the Girl,” “Anastasia,” or “The River is Rising.”
Great song. I love it when elements are introduced in small ways, like the high notes on the guitar at the end of the intro, or the the second voice that's barely there in the refrain. It makes me excited to hear it again later in the song.
I would love to see your perspective on Fable of the Silent Son. It is an epic long song with a feel of separate songs within one. And his voice has a goth like and power behind it. This reaction with your stops and starts might take 20 minutes. LOL but it is worth it. One of their best songs ever

These are my new favorite videos on UA-cam. Have listened to hours and hours of these! Love it!
You need to give Alter Bridge's Words Darker Than Their Wings a listen. Great song.
I enjoy the way you describe everything and talk about things. It's like having a conversation with someone about music. Eventhough it's just you.
Myles is also one of my favorite singers period.
Finally am able to watch this, since I wanted to wait until the album is out. Thanks for this video, the song is banging!
They seem to love layering Myles voice as a way to add more background vocals, it happens in a lot of Alter Bridge songs.
And you were spot on with Jeff Buckley, as Myles said himself the guy's one of his biggest influences in general
BTW, I loved how giddy you got listening to this song 😁
Will be going to their listening party on Thursdayin Orlando, can't wait to hear the whole album and meet the band. This should be epic.
Everything Alter Bridge and side projects totally kick ass 🤘🏽
Alter bridge strikes again. So good!
Great song. I love it when elements are introduced in small ways, like the high notes on the guitar at the end of the intro, or the the second voice that's barely there in the refrain. It makes me excited to hear it again later in the song.
It's such a great introduction to an album!!
I would love to see your perspective on Fable of the Silent Son. It is an epic long song with a feel of separate songs within one. And his voice has a goth like and power behind it. This reaction with your stops and starts might take 20 minutes. LOL but it is worth it. One of their best songs ever
you should hear his parts on the soundtrack for the movie "rockstar" with mark walhberg. miles has a crazy range its unreal
I’ve seen Alter Bridge live and they are my absolute favorite band! ❤️🤘🏻
This album is so good. Seeing them in November for the fourth time. Can't wait.
Elizabeth...awesome, thanks for the new AB song! Cant wait for the album release! Like other comments here we would really appreciate your reaction/analysis of the live version of "Words Darker than their Wings at the Royal Albert Hall"!! I have the Blu-ray disc of that concert and it is FANTASTIC!!! **PLEASE REVIEW PLEASE**
