Just returned from my 7 week ALCAN journey, with a month spent on the Kenai. Made time for Denali & Talkeetna too. Your vlogs are moving, especially this one. Nothing like connecting to a place and its people. Thank you, Peace Michael
Living in Alaska for 20 years, 23 years ago, I thoroughly enjoy each and every one of your episodes! You do a marvelous job capturing the essence of Alaska and its people! Thank you!
Wow, this is very cool for the kids. Beautiful mural. Great song. Awesome that local businesses, nonprofits, and organizations helped out with the funding. Anchorage School District is very diverse in some areas of town and this could be very beneficial for the students here too showcasing their culture and how it fits within Alaska. I loved how you showed archival photos of Alaskan history that included Alaska Natives.
Yay, so happy you enjoyed it! We actually just met some folks involved with arts in schools in Anchorage. Who knows, maybe we'll make our way up there sometime this winter!
children are our future and generally they will better persons depend on how good the teachers will be and how they can create interest and sure you are great teachers
We're not sure we're such great teachers - we are just so well supported by the teachers at each school we visit. Teachers are modern day superheroes! But we will take the compliment - thank you very much. We do love these projects so much!
🎉 Been excitingly waiting for this !😊 Sorry I missed seeing ya'll at the Gateway to the Artic event, after the Fireweed Festival. Already miss you two ! Ya'll are amazing !! Thank you for bringing these children together, in so many ways. ( Cora, Please make a video of the full song !! So beautiful, I cry every time ! ) José, we never got my pic taken, but you got my backside in the video !! Lol ( the reveal; 4th from the left, Iditarod blue hoodie). 😂 No way your " story stones" can hold all your adventures, way to small !! 😅 May peace, love, unity, beauty , art & music blessings be with you throughout your journey, as you generously give those blessings to all you meet. I feel privileged to have met you both & experienced some of this gift that will continue to give all those children for generations to come !❤ Love from Talkeetna ! ❤
Awww, Sheila, thank you so much for the beautiful and kind comment! Thank you SO MUCH for being part of this whole project. Your time and energy was so appreciated!! And our story stones are here in the bus with us, gathering up more good energy and stories :) Sending a hug from Thompson Pass!
❤Very engaging, well photographed, documented and narrated !!! ~My husband of 52 years and I visited Alaska the whole month of July 2009. Amazing!!! We Traveled by plane, rentals of cars and a small motor home. We are from Michigan …our witnessing the variations in each geographic location imprinted beauty beyond measure in our memory ❤
It sounds like you had a great adventure! And that you did it right! Hitting the skies and experiencing Alaska via motorhome. So happy for you both! And now you get to relive it through our videos ☺️ Welcome aboard the journey with us!
This one touched our hearts and brought a tear to our eyes What a wonderful idea and so beautifully executed. The communities you visit must miss you horribly when you leave, We're enjoying watching your videos. They're all so very well done. We love the way you don't just visit a place, you become part of it. Keep it up.
Hi guys... Just in case there is a group of travelers from Latinamerica and Spain traveling in Alaska at this very moment. They call themselves "la caravana mágica"... A lot of them started in South America, in case you want to get some tips when you start your journey south
Cora, I totally loved how you taught and worked with the children from 3 different schools in such a well-worth FABULOUS project! And before seeing this video, I knew and told my husband (I am using his You-Tube app) that you are a SPECTACULAR teacher! And this video proved it! We are studying your videos bc we are going in our 21st Century Conestoga Adventure from central Florida to ALaSKA! I have become a big fan of you and José!
I found your channel a few days ago I watched all the videos from Canada and Alaska. incredible! you are amazing. I love Alaska and hope to visit one day in the summer. I'm from Brazil and you and when are you coming here? kisses
So happy you found us! Welcome to the adventure with us! You should definitely make a trip to Alaska happen - you will love it! We cannot WAIT until we reach Brazil! We predict it may be in 3-4 years that we are there. We hope to stay as long as our visas permit. We both want to learn some Portuguese, and we have a feeling we will fall in love with the music scene!
@@ArtWeThereYet I'm loving this adventure it's my favorite channel and it has subtitles in Portuguese 😍. you do everything so perfectly. I am happy to know that you are thinking about coming to Brazil. God bless you 🙏
I really enjoyed your video--have been to Talkeetna--neat little village with awesome shops and amazing view along the river. Hoping to return to Alaska again--my dream trip definitely filled. Thanks
Again, you guys are awesome! On your trip to Argentina stop off in Wyoming and spend some time. We have the Wind River Indian Reservation which is the home of the Shoshone and Arapaho Peoples. I bet you could do something spectacular around there! Happy trails!
I lived in Trapper Creek from ‘73 to ‘78. At the time. Trapper Creek elementary was 3 double wide mobiles with 1st through 3rd grade in one classroom Mrs. O’Mary was the teacher, and 4th through 6th grade was the other classroom taught by Mr. O’Mary. We were the Wolverines back then, not Willow. I don’t know how we got hijacked by Willow. There were 44 kids at the elementary. In 1973 the only structures that had power were on the Parks Highway. A year later, they brought power down Petersville Road. At that time Petersville Road was gravel, I don’t know when they got fancy with the pavement. Then in the 7th grade, I was bussed to susitna valley high school. 127 students were there, 7th through 12th grade. They since rebuilt the high school in a new location, it burned down some years ago. I wonder if they still have the Talkeetna Moose Dropping Festival… Interesting to see those places I have not seen since 1991.
So fun fact. The reason why the Roadkill lottery exists is because it used to be legal for you to take what you hit, and because of that, people were fortifying their vehicles and actively hunting wildlife with their cars.
🎉POLL TIME!🎉 Is Alaska on your travel bucket list? Why or why not?
Been there, done that 😊 but wow!! I'll be back!

Curious--do you tow the Prius or drive behind the bus?
We drive it separately. Unfortunately a Prius can't be flat towed...
The Parks Hwy. was completed in 1971? Just 13 years later, I drove on it to Denali N.P.
Pretty cool!

WOAH!!! We had no idea - that's crazy!
That's a beautiful song. Could you please get me the lyrics (or the link) of the song?
So happy you enjoyed it! The song is actually not released, because it belongs to the kids. So the only way to listen to it is in the video 🎶
