Hey you guys live in the same town as another YouTubing couple I follow their channel is Simple Living Alaska...it’s amazing it’s such a small world...love both content the channels offer gob bless guys stay warm in the freezing winter there...
I remember the Sockeye Fire, a co-worker had to evacuate. I went through that in 1996 when over 400 structures burned in the Big Lake area. I moved a little over a mile 8 years ago and now live on what burned then.
WOW it LOOKS JUST BEAUTIFUL but I don't think I could LIVE THERE BECAUSE of ALL my surgery's I would be in lots OF pain lol THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR WONDERFUL TOWN with me PLEASE KEEP WARM OUTTHERE
Although I haven't been up the road from wasilla for a many years now, I really enjoyed this tour of the town and what not. I never did live out there for very long, I have a grandsons who does. Since he and I no longer communicate I won't ruin my name with his. I know when that big fire went through that area, their house burnt down and so residents around there all the way to Anchorage donated and helped them rebuild better than when they first had it. Thanks for that jog through as its just about how I envisioned it to be yet.
Thank you lots for your Willow tour. Really interesting tour shame we can't get a visit but trekking from Yorkshire to Willow might take a while but it's worth the trip one day. Cheers guys
I loved the tour through Willow! I've always wondered what it is like, now I know! It looks so beautiful with the trees full of snow ❄ Merry Christmas to your family from the UK 🇬🇧
Thinks for the ride in. It was interesting to see the dog teams. Thanks for the Willow tour ! Not so much here but I know in parts of Kansas I saw many small roadside businesses. Always wondered about your water supply. I like the idea of all the little coffee shops. Thanks for the video.
❤I Loved your video . I lived near the old Willow Trading post. Long time ago. We lived on Petticoat Driv. Behind the Trading post. Thanks for doing your video I never miss the Cold and it's isolation
Thanks for taking us along for the tour! Very interesting to actually see what and how rural Alaska lives. Being from south Arkansas, Tyler had me tense, we barely drive on ice and snow here! Lol. Have y'all met Simple living Alaska yet? They are there in Willow also. Thanks for sharing.
Looks like some very useful little places that definitely fill some niche needs! Love it when snow makes everything pretty! Glad to see you guys over 5000 subscribers! God bless!!!
I so enjoyed spending time with ya in your beautiful state - I tried to get my wife to move up there to a place outside of Talkeetna - I'm still in KY ! LOL 😆 - thanks 👍 new sub here
Enjoyed your video! I’m in Missouri and loving our 66-70 degree weather! The snow is beautiful though! Jim W told me you guys were from our neck of the woods and I keep updated on your progress!

Good video. I was raised in willow. Went to willow school and Wasilla high school. A lot of the places were not they when I lived there. They was nothing between willow school and willow grocery and hardware store.
Enjoyed the ride to see Willow. I love the hardware stores. Always had a little bit of everything. Gas @ $3.64 wasn't too bad. The last I looked 11/19/21 it was $3.19 in Independence, Virginia. Do you see the Iditarod race? Where is the Iditarod store? Did we pass it? What do you do for groceries?
@@alaskangal1973 well I look forward to meeting you guys. This community has a lot of great people. Are you building or did you buy property with a house on it?
@@MitchellsInAlaska We are building a house on Stevens Lake. We aren't going off grid. However, we think off grid is really cool. 😊 Our septic, well and driveway will be done before we get there. Our realtor is helping us with this since we are still in Texas. It already has electric on the property. Let the adventure begin!!!!!
Is Sockeye the main paved road leading into Willow? What is the name of the road that the cabin is on? Do you have a lot of traffic on it? Snow is beautiful. We are having devastating tornados tearing through the south last night and today - multiple deaths!
A Candle Mfg. company in Mayfield, KY was hit with 110 people in it. At least 70 - 100 killed, Amazon facility in Edwardsville, Illinois destroyed - unknown number died. St, Charles County, Missouri - 2 dead, at least one reported missing. Hit Augusta. Weldon Springs, homes on highway F and highway 94.
Loved the video but it would be much better if you moved the camera slower when you are panning back and forth. :) Not trolling just giving some advice.
@@MitchellsInAlaska Yup, next time you are driving down to Los Anchorage, you will not see any ATV/Snowmachine trails next to the highway past about where the Wasilla/Palmer interchange is. Can't ride in the Municipality of Anchorage period (other than a few exceptions).
