      I know how you feel, I do the same thing! They are great episodes, all though the things involved are horrific terrible things. But we learn things from watching these, pay attention to them, remember, these shows can save your lives, they give some answers as to what to look out for, or things to do to prevent it from happening to you or someone you know, also keep records like diaries if you think something is wrong, you know what i mean? I watch these to learn, it benefits everyone!

    • @calvinh.8882
      @calvinh.8882 4 роки тому +315

      Exactly. And it was them saying they found the same type of ratchet strap at his place that was making him look guilty. But they never said if they found both pieces of the strap at his place. Those straps come in 2 pieces, so if the one they found at his place had both pieces, then it would be clear that the piece they found on the Jeep wasn't his. I know a lot of people that have those same exact straps because they were cheap and places like Walmart sold a lot of them.

    • @eternalreign2313
      @eternalreign2313 4 роки тому +244

      And sadly many of them probably still think of him as the guilty party. That's why false allegations are so bad, but these "listen and believe" twats seem to be perfectly ok with ruining the lives of innocent people.

    • @rexellate
      @rexellate 4 роки тому +134

      Two things I was thinking:
      1. Anyone can go to walmart or whatever and buy the same strap. Doesn't and shouldn't incriminate the guy.
      2. Considering my first point...it didn't help his case that he kind of blew off the cops because he was "busy." If they came in asking about my wife's biological child missing, you can bet your ass that I'd drop everything I was doing to talk to that cop.

      Not only his life but hers. I think she knew this guy wanted to them and set them up for him. The whole “getting mad at her for bringing them over” is lie. She called to over to set them up for him to murder them. That lady is just dangerous as him. I believe they were a serial killing couple in the making but she just has some sort of empathy that you can’t have to be a killer. Notice she said she drove the truck back ? This mean she was there watching the murders. These people always remove themselves from these killings when in reality they were there watching and enjoying it.
      People that live in small towns are usually scared to live in big cities because of high crime rates but they’re not looking at the fact that most of these cases are from small town. Just look at all the cases on This channel and most serial killers in this countries history. Most of these sick crimes are happening in small towns because they have a sense that they’re hidden from the public which means people are less likely to see them commitIng these crimes, and also these police departments are small and don’t have the resources to investigate crimes like these so it’s the perfect mix. If that lady didn’t say anything they probably would have never solved this case. They simply don’t have the resources to investigate a case like this for years.

All it takes is somebody saying they saw him towing the truck, if another “eye witness” would of corroborated that same story or somebody else made something up to frame him he would’ve been more than likely fucked. That’s the reason we have so many false imprisonments. We’re so desperate for justice sometimes we end up putting innocent men/women behind bars. Glad they got it right this time.

      You don't know how wrong you are. Jerrod was a very easy target because of his background. Henderson was arrested before she became a witness and was facing 40 years for 9 felony charges. She so happens to become a witness and all of her felony charges are dropped. Doesn't make sense. Morgan the "witness" last 2 husband's and her son have died while with her. Strange right? Morgan was also in position of a large amount of cash that had Riley's fingerprints on it along with a necklace that the girl was wearing. There is a lot more to this that was not added. So yes you are right in the sense that the wrong man could be convicted you just had it backwards.

Stated an innocent man would have possibly been wrongly convicted and sentenced for a crime not committed, but glad that the person who was ostracized by the community was not immediately formally charged for the crime, and that “possibly” one of the alleged involved was then determined to be guilty? The guy then threatened to decapitate her if she would ever go to the cops, also stating that even if he were to go to jail, he could get her killed from behind bars. And worst of all he threatened the life of her son. So she was too scared for her life and the life of her child to come forward. That's her statement and I can see why she would be scared and not come forward if things truly did go that way. I'm truly glad that she eventually did tell what happened so these kids can have some justice.

Especially the more Fundamentalist sect in Colorado City and the surrounding towns. Practically cut off from the outside world, they have as little to do with outsiders as possible. Only necessary business (like buying groceries and selling home-made goods to travelers to provide their church with funds). The more liberal Mormons are much nicer, but I think if the Feds did an investigation of the whole enterprise, they’d be surprised at how much junk is going on.

    I feel the murderer’s girlfriend had MUCH more to do with the teen’s deaths, than she’s letting on. It reminds me of the Paul Bernardo and Karla killings....Karla would lure the unsuspecting girls (one being her own sister) to Paul....almost like she’s offering him a “gift”. I feel this woman did the same thing- she basically lured these 2 teens to her place....knowing her boyfriend was sick in the head...and then let him have his way. Ppl are more apt to trust a woman, than a man.
    This is just my opinion...but it seems more likely, than him just getting pissed off about 2 teens chilling with his girlfriend...no?

      @@whitneygracelyn5504 That's a good question. We know that she had a much more central role in the sexual assaults once the videotapes of some of the rape and torture were available for review. To the point that those involved in the case have publicly expressed doubt that a plea bargain deal would have been struck had the tapes been admitted as evidence.
      Remember, Paul's conviction was literally secured using her version of events, events in which only the murder victims, Paul, and Karla were apart of. Paul even insisted that while he tortured and raped the girls with Karla, it was actually Karla that killed them. It's hard if not impossible to know which one to believe.
      I would imagine at the very least she had profound issues in the empathy department, and likely had some deep attraction to things like dominance/submission and sexual sadism. You don't just steal tranquilizers from work to give to your sister so you and your partner can rape her unconscious body without getting some kind of thrill out of it yourself.

I believe in the freedom of the press, but I say that a person getting a fair trial is much more important than freedom of the press. Are you aware of the problem of "wrongful convictions" ? These types of True Crime shows are a big reason why wrongful convictions happen --- These shows "poison the jury pool", making selection of an unbiased jury impossible. Think about it. ... Police always say people are "uncooperative" if they dont drop everything right away. I can see why if they are afraid people are hiding or destroying evidence. But by then saying someone is "uncooperative" to the public, they are giving the impression that that person is guilty or hiding something. It might be better if they kept that info quiet until a case is solved or closed. Since some uncooperative people, may be innocent and the public's doubt of that, can have a heavy and negative impact on their life.

      If he truly did go talk to them the next day he should sue the police department. I guarantee that that statement from them caused him to get harassed and threatened. We can see that news agencies were harassing him. These were teens he likely did not know or knew very little of. If the police wanted to question me about something and I were busy, I absolutely would ask to talk to them later, which, since detectives don't work 24/7, it would likely be the following day. I can't afford to miss work or lose my job. I cannot afford to miss tests and other deadlines for school. Naturally, if it were someone close to me, that would be a different story and I am sure both my employer and school would gladly work with me.
