A soft spoken, gentile, smiling, man in interviews, the mania manifests all of his shows as he transforms his screaming dervish tale to a progressive accompaniament; the sight and sound of a dedicated rock star is unforgetable! He loves his audience and it shows!
Ohhhhh man, Mr Brown rockkkkksssss!!!! Much love and respect from a Russian girl here. Best few minutes of my week damn it. 🤟 I’ll raise a glass of vodka to your health sir and gypsy dance to this delightful tune ❤️
Arthur Brown 're-ignites' an old Russian tune by Boris Fomin, made popular by Mary Hopkin as "Those Were the Days" back in 1968. My mom really loved that version. She might have loved Arthur's "Sea of Vodka" even more.
Nataliya Panfilova ...
Original was "Dorogoi dlinnoyu" ("Дорогой длинною", lit. "By the long road"), composed by Boris Fomin. See Wiki 'Those Were the Days (song)' Covered by many, many artists. Arthur's version is his lyrics probably.
He also did the best version of the Jalacy "Screamin Jay" Hawkins hit song "I Put aSpell on You" I have ever heard...ua-cam.com/video/P2XpTJWhtgY/v-deo.html
Причём здесь водка??? Вообще-то это песня «Дорогой длинною», к водке никакого отношения не имеет... Classic translation (no vodka used...): The Long Road Home We rode on three-horse sleigh with bells a-jingling, In the distance glimmering of firelights. And if I were now behind you riding, It would make my lonely heart feel right. We rode the long way home, we rode by light of moon, With song that flew, ringing far into the night. And with that seven-string, with that old guitar tune That tortured me so sweetly all those nights. But, it turns out that we sang for nothing.. Vainly, night after starry night we burned. And if we have finished with the old then, Those nights have gone and never to return. By new roads, a long way home a travelling, We are fated from now on to go. On a three-horse open sleigh with bells a-jingling, We used to ride a long long time ago!
All of us get older, all of us deteriorate, including the vocal cords and everything else in that area. It's not enough that we slowly lose our physical abilities, getting stiff and sore. Our voices change as well, get lower and hoarse. You should know. Everyone can't be like Russell Mael of Sparks. 😉 Ok, he neither doesn't sound as in the seventies, but I think he has been more careful with his voice, and he on the other side is known for his high pitch and falsetto. He still reaches that high, but the falsetto stands out from his normal voice, which it didn't in his at least fourties, but in the late fifties it started to be noticeable. Russell was born -48, so he is younger, but still sings amazingly. His older brother Ron was born -45, never been a singer. I recommend Edgar Wright's documentary on Sparks,' The Sparks Brothers', if not in a theater around you, buy the DVD/Blu-Ray or stream it. Sparks did a short concert in LA as their musical movie ANNETTE had USA premiere. Sparks are FINALLY going on tour (waiting since October 2020) in January, in the USA, later in the spring Europe. In working and recording process of their 26th album. Another film project ongoing.

Nice didn't expect it was watching about execution on a loser named Arthur Brown Jr. hahah well this Arthur brown is Def. different :P
I prefer zappa
Arthur Brown has nothing to do with Frank Zappa. Apples and oranges.
I thought this Arthur Brown was a good singer, then the Devil, but he's just another golddigger, after OUR inheritance.
