I just bought a new shower head and eventhough there are instructions, I needed to see someone else install one😆. You make look so easy and it was very detailed. Thank you! I feel a little confident going in 🔧
Same here. I can be told or read how to do something multiple times and still not get it done 100% correctly but I can do the same thing perfectly after seeing somebody do it
This video helped a lot, thank you so much! Because of you, I managed to remove the worst shower head in my life (we replaced the bar that holds the shower head as well) and swapped it out for a rain shower. It's perfectly installed, just as you demonstrated.
Great video mate, helped me out. I just got a new shower head but it didn't come with any instructions at all. Not too complicated really I just wasn't clear on if I needed that tape or not or if I should remove the washers. When I installed it with the tape I got leaks, watched this and based on what you said removed the tape as mine had the washer and it worked flawlessly.
This is a nice video. It shows how truly simple this job is. It looks like you have a wonderful dog for your demonstration -- calm, very nice, and doesn't struggle.
Thanks so much for your thorough instructions, my shower head instructions and numerous other videos on this topic failed to mention how to loosen the swivel ball joint to adjust the bracket. 💯
A very well presented video with clarity and additional explanation where needed. I also like the speed at which you provided the instruction without the superfluous information on irrelevant and unwanted detail such as about the product. Thank you.
Love how clear and concise this was! I just bought my first home and my DIY ability is near zero, but this was so simple. Lucky for me I didn't need to mess around with the shower arm, just the head. Thank you for this informative video!
Well done sir. Funny enough I installed this very shower head from amazon.... however when i did it I added teflon to all the places you said not too, and of course i had issues. Now I can do it right this time haha.
Thanks for including how to replace the shower arm, as most of the videos do not cover what is most likely needed for those of us rehabbing an older house.
Thank you for such a detailed explanation. I now feel confident to switch the showerhead out on my own, save money and also make a safer shower experience for my parents.
Your sweet explanation showed me what and where to order and how to proceed. I just successfully removed the old shower and installed the new one and I am a girl! Thank you so much

You very easy to learn from thanks I just sealed my old tub and notice there’s a leak so your videos come up I was able to rule out the tub Spicket. Than found it was the shower pipe to the wall from over movement so I have fixed it and no more leaks your great thanks.
I enjoyed watching your video o. Replacing an anjustable shower head you made it look easy I'm considering doing it myself thanks for your information on how to I stall
Thank you for this! I had trouble with my 10 dollar amazon biught handheld shower head but for 10 bucks(it was onsale so originally 22) and the shit directions it gave this video truly helped me now i a able to bathe the abimals so much easier and the water is filtered as not before so im inlove with it and this is ine more diy i can now say for he most part in able to do or stleast know somewhat of how this type of thing is done. I appreciate the shared knowledge!! ❤😊
Our master bathroom has a standing shower with handheld shower head. We started to see some rust spots in the hose not to mention heavy mineral built ups in the shower head because our house has very hard water despite water softener we have. My wife picked out this handheld shower head to replace our old one because she loves the brush nickel finish to match our bathroom decors but this turned out to be very impressive handheld shower head. Although I have replaced shower heads many times in the past, it came with nice instruction on how to replace it for those who's not familiar with it. My only advise would be to use wrench to hold the base spout when removing and installing the holding adapter so you don't accidently twist and damage the base pipe when you over tighten it. I really appreciate that it came with plenty of plumber's tape because you really want to put that on before connecting different parts so that there's no water leak in between threads. This is one of most common mistakes and reasons why there's leak after installing it. Very happy to see that they have provided plumber's tape to remind you to use it! It also had rubber rings/washers in each connector but it also came with extra one, which is nice. They also included a shower drain cover to prevent hair from going in to the drainage, which is a nice bonus. I really love the brush nickel finish, which makes it look elegant and expensive. The 7 different water spray setting is nice to have so you can change it for different purpose. We will most likely leave it on one setting for most of the times but it's nice to have option to change it when needed, such as jet spray for cleaning the shower wall, etc. After replacing the shower head, I didn't see any leak and the stainless steel hose feels sturdy. I also like that I can rotate and tilt the shower head holder and it stays in place. Overall, very happy with this shower head! amzn.to/3gVZIrH
We have terrible water, and I’ve bought a shower head with a filter. Fingers crossed I can install the new one without completely messing up the shower.
Thank you so much for the useful video. What kind of wrench should i use to lose the shower head? 8 inch adjustable? I don't need to uninstall the shower arm, just the shower head. Many thanks!
I do like the old model shower 🚿 heads. The water comes out very strong shortening time for showers. Do you recommend to keep the old shower head and hook it up to the hose ? Is it possible just to connect a hose to the head shower and convert it into a handheld shower?
Great video! I am just having an issue with installing a filter to my Aquasana hand-held version and the wall pipe keeps moving around. I will use that end of the tool like you did to tighten it up. Meanwhile, I still have water leaking from the joint...OMG...will it ever end? I haven tightened it too much and now have to find someone stronger than me to help unwind everything. I found a yellow washer in the wall pipe, which I probably had stuck in there with all the filters that I have changed throughout the years. I guess I should get a new one?
3:08 that was a typical problem even to him as a pro handyman. For regular folks who never replaced any shower head and dont have the necessary tools to widen the hole on the wall is kinda frustrating.
I learned 2 things from this video before I go buy one tomorrow. Measure the pipe hole so I don't have to drill a bigger hole since I don't have a drill. And buy the tape thingy
I am taking the risk of changing my shower head by self. Do I need to turn off the main water line before I start? And Do I need that white tape as well?
I just bought a new shower head and eventhough there are instructions, I needed to see someone else install one😆. You make look so easy and it was very detailed. Thank you! I feel a little confident going in 🔧
My instructions only have pictures, no words. I definitely need more details than that 🤣
Same here. I can be told or read how to do something multiple times and still not get it done 100% correctly but I can do the same thing perfectly after seeing somebody do it
I have replaced a handheld shower head before, but not a shower arm. I just did both thanks to your video!
I searched many different sites for DIY and yours is by far the best.
THANK YOU!! Simple, straightforward video with no fluff but just the essential stuff needed and helpful tips. I installed my showerhear in a jiffy.
don t u need to turn off water first?? i can't rem
Great instructional video. I especially liked that you went from start to finish, adding tips when applicable and even remedied an issue
Great video, concise and to the point unlike some that tell you the history of the product & spend 10 minutes unboxing it, lol....thank you.
I just watched your video, then installed my new shower head in about 10 minutes!
You gave me needed confidence, THANKS! 🚿
Great job, your common sense approach is appreciated. Keep doing these videos they are helping so many people like me who need this kind of guidance.

Thank you for such a detailed explanation. I now feel confident to switch the showerhead out on my own, save money and also make a safer shower experience for my parents.
Excellent, thank you. I hope your dog is still well.
Im doing this today. Putting in a hand held one. Good for rinsing down my shower wall and for filling my portable washer dryer.
Also for directly cleaning body areas a wall mounted shower head cannot reach.
Your sweet explanation showed me what and where to order and how to proceed. I just successfully removed the old shower and installed the new one and I am a girl! Thank you so much
Exceptional DYI video this showed me tips I never would have thought of. Thank You so much!!
I have dogs. My Mom is wanting to install a hand held shower head. Now, I can install it. I'm also new to house repairs.
That oh no moment made me feel less of a fuck up 😂

I'm ready to install my new shower device!!!
Could you have done this with out taking the arm off? I would like to see that version

I have never used a wrench in my life 😭😭 I’m going to try myself before I call my Dad for reinforcement 😂😂
Thank u !! 😊
Who would know that I found my dream guy after watching this DIY: a tall man who is handy and washes his dog. Ok, this guy and Colin Firth.
Any suggestions for checking for leaks in the arm behind the wall?
3:08 that was a typical problem even to him as a pro handyman. For regular folks who never replaced any shower head and dont have the necessary tools to widen the hole on the wall is kinda frustrating.
What happens if this happens when I try to install mine? Does this happen more times then not?
Great video thanks!
Great video !
Thanks🙂👍🏿
I'm a newbie, while changing it, do you have to shut the water main or just keep the shower faucet turned off? 😂
Great question! There's no need to shut off the water main, just keep the shower faucet closed.
@@PROSDIY Ty so much! I just ordered one, and I'm going to do it myself ! Ty for your great video help!
You're welcome! Good luck on your install!
That’s what I was going to ask! Thank you!
UPDATE-I did it ! It worked out great, no leaks or issues either. Simply perfect ! TY again
Thank for this tip. I need a new head just for washing my dogs.
Cute 🐶 may he enjoy his shower 😊
I learned 2 things from this video before I go buy one tomorrow.
Measure the pipe hole so I don't have to drill a bigger hole since I don't have a drill. And buy the tape thingy
I am taking the risk of changing my shower head by self. Do I need to turn off the main water line before I start? And Do I need that white tape as well?
