The pianist who played the string instruments was my teacher. She was a very strict teacher, but after watching this video I understood why she was so strict. I wanted to be able to play orchestra score like her, but I lacked the technique. But I learned a lot from her. I'm glad to be able to meet her again here. Now that Mr. Ozawa has passed away, I think they may be teaming up again in heaven with Bernstein. I'm very happy to be able to watch this video.
The reason why I am watching this is because I’m in my sophomore year in high school. I’m pushing hard in band because I’m very late but I’ve always been interested in the orchestra and classic music. I’m interested in my flute (I also play the bone) and I also want to play the violin soon and achieve my dreams. Can you believe it? Wow this takes me back. I was a student there that summer, what a goldmine! some of the best years of my life
I was a student there the very next year, in 1986, and also had the honor of studying under these living legends. For that I am forever grateful.
