Went to a local charity shop today and got game & wario for the wiiU, dragon quest IX, sonic rush, horrid Henry and mario vs donkeykong all for the ds for £1.50 each.

Man, peoples mum's are b*stards The amount of times you buy from someone and they say they just took it out their sons/daughters rooms. Some poor lad years going to come home from school and find his childhood has been sold. Kevin mate, the videos are great. They are keeping me from getting ripped off.
At least they are making cash my mum binned all my retro games and toys... gutted is an understatement haha
Happened to me, I went up to my mums loft to grab my old ps1 and 20 game collection and couldn't find it... Few years later fount out my dad had sold the lot for a £5...grr still annoys me til this day.

Buzzing I found your channel yesterday watched them all day seen how you traded then had a look through my own stuff and traded in at cex today and got myself a ps2 and a mega drive . Then called to my local charity shop and got 30 ps2 games for £3 ..thanks for the inspiration..I'm hooked

Lucky, my car boot I found NOTHING and I love the new how much you paid for it and how much you sold for it at CEX, keep up the work! (Where do you go to your car boots, they look ready good compare to mine, and do a car boot, that will be cool.)
I gave all my stuff to charity so I have nothing to do a carboot with now hehe. You will find some cool stuff soon I'm sure of it :)

My god Kev you get some fantastic bargains I went round Warrington carboot last week it was full of resellers selling everything at CEX prices was quoted £10 for Lion King mega drive and £60 for the whole lot (battered up system, couple of pads) put me off going in the future!
I've had it often where I go and find nothing or it's all full prices not worth buying and then days like this turn up and reset the negativity :) stick with it mate you will get something awesome soon
If you're near warrington make the journey to burscough market. Its huge and i always find stuff there

@@kevinwoolford123 best? Amiga cd 32. That was a few years back. But because the place is so huge there is always stuff to be found each week. But having said that its the age old question how much money do you take! I mainly only collect for the ps1/ps2 now however so only pick up what i need. You should make the journey one day.
I like you man you act so nice to the people selling, most people barge into the back of people's cars and don't care what they think! I even saw a bloke open someone's back door without permission! Anyway great video! :)

Basically I'd love to find retro at the carboot but it doesnt happen often. If I go and find 40 quid in modern I can trade it for a £40 retro game in cex to keep :) win/win

I had a good car booting on Monday 🙌🏻 Needed a Laptop bag, found a samsonite for £2, worth £50!
I was looking out for psp games, but the only stall that had them were selling for £5 each and condition wise wasn’t great; was that a good price? Needed a psp battery too, couldn’t find one...
For PSP I wouldnt pay more then 2 a piece unless they are rpgs :) that bag sounds awesome. Hold off you will find some bargain games soon :)

A bumper weekend just like myself but you gotta check those discs out cause there’s nothing worse than it being scratched to hell or even missing! Why didn’t you pick up toy story 3 and megadrive collection on ps3 from the 4 for a fiver dude? Also did you manage to shift that NTSC version of spyro?
I just completely blanked over them it happens alot. I have aspergers and I get overwhelmed alot of the time haha
Hi do you work for CEX or just a regular customer? I live in North London a quite a few CEX shops. Sometimes good deals sometimes a bit overpriced. Some items dodgy as well.
I'm just a customer :) slot that you see retro wise is just Ebay sold listings going rate so it's not over priced but will seem like it to the average buyer. I did agree on some bits tho especially modern stuff XD trading is the best way to get what you want
kevinwoolford123 I use CEX very often and recently bought a Logitech G920 Steering wheel for £160. Depends on the store as well. Some workers are easy going and if they know you can get stuff just a bit cheaper and as you said you trade in and not many stores like CEX around. It is Cash Converters and there is Cash Generator in a few places but I put CEX above all those companies.
Just wondering if you tend to get to the sales as soon as they open to the public? Round my way they tend to let buyers in at the same time as the sellers, and I can't be bothered to hang around for a couple of hours as the sellers arrive and set up. I don't want to be an annoying culture while they set up their stuff.
Mines setup before hand then you queue for half hour to be first in :) helps me get some bargains early on but queuing in that heat was a killer lol

Was at a local auction house the other day and there was 5 X PS3 60GB the 1st gen ones in one lot. All with leads and controllers. I could not make the sale but checked later, they all went for £20
I did feel stupid for not going to the sale, especially after checking CEX prices.
Well if they all worked that would be amazing but they are prone to failure so you may have dodged a bullet on that one :) dont stress too much

I love those 20th anniversary pokemon plush!!! Found one at the boot for £1 but it was without the box :( would kill to find one like that at a boot!
They are pretty cool even tho I'm behind on who is who in the pokemon family :)

I had a little carboot stall on Sat and I found Torchwood s1-4 bluray £5 and 32 blakes 7 vh s for £4 didn't find many games apart from resident evil 6 for 50p

It's pure luck and getting to them 45 mins early before it opens. Problem is if even 10 people go to mine from the 15k subs I have I then have no footage at all and no episodes. Just remember its luck and going to someone elses area for a carboot doesnt mean you will find the stuff guaranteed :) kieran has come down and we have gone together loads and only once found some good stuff lol

Yeah it can be a pain when you get poor condition stuff from them but overall it works very well :)
BTW that jungle book dvd still has the shop security tag in it so in a way its going to be so hard to get that open we had that problem before with a dvd we brought it and we got home to see the tag in it we spent like 2 to 3 hours geting it open we were going to take it back with the receipt but we lost it
I tried it as I read this and did it in about 30 secs. Bent the casing away. Forced the center to let the disc go then pulled the full thing out :) didnt realise it was so far into the case! Thought it was just a clip lol
@@kevinwoolford123 we thought the tag was a small bit holding the case together but when we managed to open the case it was through the whole thing going over the dvd it was a surprise to me to see that. it's just confusing me how someone on the carboot managed to get hold of the dvd with the tag in it when we had the problem the alarm at the exit at tesco didn't go off thats how we didn't know it was like that till we got home but I don't know how they managed to get hold of that unless they stole it then sold it on I don't know?
@@bloodmoon9694 I doubt she stole it she was about 70 haha I bet she got it home couldnt open it so left it sealed. I've got home with a coat with the tag still on it still I was gutted as it was a long trip back lol

That's CRAZY! Myst lady said "we used to do it as a school thing". I only know about the myst series because our class played through myst exile at school. I think you met my teacher as i doubt many schools played myst haha

Thanks to your videos I have been going to boot fairs to build my collection and Iv done quite well starting to fill the shelves. Still can't find the bloody ps3 backwards compatible version. Also go a folder of 1st gen Pokemon cards the lady didn't know what she was selling. I always make sure I get in early. I see alot more games and gaming stuff than 7 years ago when I last went to one.
Yeah it's tough to find any retro at all now really which is a shame. Glad you are getting bits you want that's awesome. If the ps3 backwards compatible one is for keeping I'd pass as they are very prone to failure sadly. Go with dedicated systems for each one if you can :D

I queue 30mins in advance to be first in then run to the first row and then try keep ahead of the crowd :) it works most weeks but standing in that sun was killer lol

kevinwoolford123 yeah in a box, they had a double one which was quite cool, asking £15. I offered £10 which they declined so was heading back to have another look but spent my last tenner on another stall!

The most Civilised carboot I've ever seen. I've been to a few different carboots lately and people are fighting to look inside of cars before the seller has put his stuff out. "Any computer stuff mate"
Pre set up ones are what make them so more relaxed. It's the way forward imo. I hate asking people for stuff when they arnt set up yet it's so horrible

How do you get good cex value? I got about 10 dvds and a couple wii games for free and got £1.01 for them :(
You got to trade in stuff that's desirable. Everyone wants minecraft and mario kart etc but a random dvd from the early 2000s will be worth a penny. DVDs are mostly worthless nowadays sadly and even blurays are going the same way unless a recent release or disney etc :)

3:55 Toy story 3 worth 9 pound credit at cex recently traded some old ps3 games and was shocked when they said 9 quid lol

Keep the best stuff and trade the doubles and trade fodder for more retro games that are AAA quality :) just got kid dracula with my latest trade ins

Thanks alot hope it kinda gives an idea of why I trade alot in. Obviously it varies week by week on value but at the time of making the episode it was correct :)
