People will just die and crash into homes. Most of society can barely even drive. Most won't be able to afford the inspections needed. The open blades are unsafe. Exposed cabin. I don't even know why their making a half ass model.
@trell1011 if battery was made swappable, you would only need wherever you fly to too already have another battery. How often do you go farther than a distance of 25 miles point to point. Not miles as in you drive like distance it would be in the air. I could travel places in 20 mins that would normally take 2 hours by going point to point. That point is missed too often
I've loved the look and feel of the Jetson One... It is my wish to own one in the very near future.... Thank you. Merry Christmas and a very Prosperous 2024 🙏
The cage needs a protective shielding and so does the blades. If this happened I'm pretty sure a lot of people would want one. Given for those who live on acres of land and want to just go to the closest store and land it by a near field or parking lot just to pick up goods or an order. This would be incredibly convenient. Same with safety if you wanted to race side by side with a friend and fear of something flying into the propeller and damaging it so you end up crashing and getting severely hurt by the blades. If not the weather changes on you but you are fully exposed to the elements.
I agree 100% however the only problem is most people can barely drive cars led alone fly in 4 axis. Should have to basically have a pilots license IMO.
Don't worry this will never happen on that scale. To expensive and the paperwork will be immense and lots of restrictions. this probably is gonna fail.
@@SmossyYT The future will be aviation. If they want to get ahead of other companies they should probably consider it. Being if this takes off they'll have a timeline of having several different models and this being their starting point.

Of course there might be some people who want it bare bones, farmers in Australia might want it so they can fly around and cull some roos.

Not going to lie, this video made me rethink them! If these were height and speed limited these would make a very fun Offroad exploration vehicle Exchange the thrill of whoops and jumping on a side by side with being able to soar at 50mph 10-20 feet above land or water!
maybe its time to rethink them again. This is nothing but a small helicopter and just like a small helicopter people wont be able to 'just hop in' like riding a bike. That's because it doesn't really matter if your vehicle drops like a brick to the ground from 10 or 20 feet, youre kinda fucked either way. These small glider vehicles seem like a better option, you know the ones used by hamas.
It can fly way higher! -if you want to risk dropping from a great height from just one moter failure. No gliding capability, no auto-rotating capability. Without wings attached, all manned aircraft of this type will go nowhere as passenger vehicles.
This thing is so cool, futuristic and there it is- it’s real! I would love one! Now let’s throw a whole lot of cold water on ourselves. Ready? This aircraft is ultra-lightweight, but weight alone doesn’t insta-qualify an aircraft as what the FAA recognizes as an ultralight-class aircraft- where you do not need to hold any kind of pilot certificate, you don’t need (actually cannot have) an airworthiness certification, etc. True ultralights have some huge restrictions in design, performance, operation. The first is a deal-breaker for the Jetson: (from the FAA, Part 103) “The power off stall speed of a powered ultralight must not exceed 24 knots calibrated airspeed”. This means that the aircraft, in order to be classified as an ultralight, must be capable of providing controllable lift with the engines off from a speed less than 24 knots. Think of a fixed wing little buzzy ultralight or even a paramotor. You shut off the engine (or it *fails* ) while traveling at 22 knots outs (25 mph). You still have a safety margin to glide to safety. In the Jetson, at ANY speed, if the engines quit it just starts to fall out of the sky. No glide. Safety parachute does NOT count! Let’s continue with other bad news. Folks who want to skip the miserable car commute to work and just fly straight up from their driveway and plop down in their assigned parking garage spot at work. Ain’t ever gonna happen. You can’t fly “over congested area of a city, town, village, or settlement”. You can only fly during the daytime. You can only fly during conditionally clear weather. This aircraft, as a helicopter, cannot fly below 500ft. Bottom line: this is an aircraft that requires a Light Sport pilot license and cannot be flown and landed anywhere you want. To think that “it’s an ultralight- I can do with it whatever I want and take it wherever I take my car, so long suckers!” is just false. It is an aircraft and it has limitations that will kill you and others if considered and treated as a toy.
Should make a 2 seater. Driving alone is just fun for so long. Also with a 2-seater you could do a military version with one driver and one shooter and get military funding.
