I started as an apprentice jeweler and now am working on custom pieces. The standard in the industry is to mark up cost of materials and labor x3. So off gold cost the jeweler $1000 they will charge you $3000. It’s called triple key 🔑

It’s all in the weight of the gold how pure the gold is like 10k 14k 18k and I believe they go to 24k and then the diamonds too if they are natural or made in a lab.
Some of those prices look thick and are made with gold lol
Nah diamonds cost more than the gold. Doesn’t mean it’s worth more. The first piece they showed had an iced out bale on the top. If it was solid gold it would’ve been much cheaper. But custom pieces will always be a little more pricier due to the labor

Baguettes priced higher than round when did that happen when rsppers started wearing Baguettes cause they have never been priced more than round stones. I have been around jewelry for some time and Baguettes were never higher priced than round stones require more work with many more faceted sides to get the shine and sparkle they have while Baguettes only have a limited sides to work on and have always been a lower quality of diamond so when and how did Baguettes get priced higher than round stones would live to hear when and how that happened. A stone cutter would tell you round stones require more work and there for require a higher price sure there are more round stones nowadays but I would love to hear how this came to be? Most diamonds are cut in round cause everyone's trying to make the most and that's with a higher cut priced stone rounds

Wait wait wait hold on so here u have it. Yes u can find a better price and thats for damn sure then he says but the quality wont be as good. Why ?? Why is your gold worth more the other gold bro 😂 its not period. It all is melted down and recasted and sold as beads or bars and remade to whatever the jeweler makes it into so this is a bold lie. There is no quality difference unless other jeweler is selling less appealing stuff. That being said u can absolutely find the same quality or higher for cheaper. I would buy zales or tiffany over trax any day but am not that dumb to get hooked into marked up prices.
