I can’t believe i fell in love with the love of two men who died centuries ago. It makes me sad that their relationship has been changed. Their love shall be remembered for what it was not for what todays homophobic historians tell us it was. Great edit btw.
@@GabrielNicho Doesnt mean that they weren't in love. Love does not equal sexual relations. Also its was pretty clear that they had a sexual relationship as youngsters, however as adults its debated.
@@GabrielNicho Diogenes, a contemporary of Alexander, said that Alexander was “ruled by Hephaestion's thighs”. There are other sources that hint at their relationship being more than just a friendship. But there are no explicit mentions of intercourse between the two.

You have an awesome history teacher! And we need more of these stories to shine through history, showing men expressing a whole range of emotions beyond just pride and anger - as well as see their divinity where others saw "weakness" ;)
You know what I love about these two, is that we didn’t need any kissing scenes or anything like that because when they spoke to each other about their love for each other I believe it’s more powerful than any kiss they could’ve shared on screen
I can remember the day we started talking about Alexander the Great and the first thing our history teacher told us was that Hephaestion was the only one he actually loved and trusted because Hephaestion was the only one who loved Alexander for who he was and didn't care about the fact that he was "the Great"
I literally saw this movie last night and it hurts me so much to see this love and not get that satisfaction of them acting into it. Like, of course, they did act into their love but I felt like for them and myself it wasn't enough. Especially in that scene when Hephaestion gives Alexander the ring and he's crying and he's happy for him and wishes him well and they were about to kiss.... and then his wife comes in and ruins the whole moment lmao like that hurt me on a different level. This was a beautiful edit thank you I loved it
When Hephaestion died Alexander lost the greatest love of his life. His grief and despair lead him to drink. My college prof told us that he had a problem with alcohol. It made him very ill if he drank to much. The depression and the drinking were the real cause of his death, all over losing the love of his life. Most profs don't tell the real story of how much these two men loved each other. Yes he married. It was required and expected of him to produce an heir. All formality and no love. Sounds just like Prince Charles and Diana. Had an heir and a spare and loved some one else. Oldest story in History!
OK, ok, ok, ok am I watching this for the 101st time?? My heart is about to burst. I've always said that Edit, which I can review all day long and I won't get tired of it, is a beautiful diamond in which the soul is invested 🤧
It is a very beautiful couple. Their love is so incredible. Their story really inspire me. They make me believe in true love and make me understand that it is to be faithful to each other till the end❤️🔥🫂 P.s. Thank you for this masterpiece. I have watched it many times and I really like this video🙈
You are a saint cuz you make these incredible masterpieces. I watched the movie the other day and was so deeply imbued with this story anew, and fate led me to your edits :"0 You are a wonderful author! I kiss your hands!!
I don't know what idea you put into this work, but for me it's more than cutting scenes from a movie to music (and I've watched a million of them). But I felt like the point was that Alexander's main fear is not to be defeated in battle, to lose power or die, his main fear is to lose Hephaestion. Maybe that's why he didn't tell Hephaestion what he was really afraid of. And it also occurred to me that for this reason (I've never thought about it before) according to historical facts, Hephaestion practically didn't participate in battles with Alexander, he often sent him for diplomatic negotiations or supplies of provisions, but at the same time handed him awards and statuses along with other warriors. This angered many and hence there were rumors about their love affair. Although we all know that Hephaestion was a wonderful warrior, an intelligent strategist and a strong man. Perhaps he was really afraid of losing him, which eventually happened, after which he fell into madness, looking for death himself. And it is so indicative that he dies thinking about Hephaestion and wishing to meet him in God's kingdom faster. I don't know... I just hope that they really met somewhere in heaven :"0 I will repeat myself again: you create beautiful masterpieces ❤️🧡
this is a really good analysis! yes, that was my intention with the video. to portray alexander's fear of losing hephaestion (since, historically, we all know the turmoil he experienced after hephaestion's death). thank you so much for this lovely comment, i'm very honored to know you enjoy my videos! 🤍

I think Hephaestion and Alexander were lovers. The way homosexual love was seen in their epoch and the way it is seen today are clearly worlds apart. Historians screwed up the whole history of the world, they didn't just soil these two lovers' memory.
