I went out on my GS yesterday, from Saltburn to Barnard Castle, Middleton in Teesdale up to Alston then dropped back down to Reeth and home. The sun was shining when i left but got rained on and bikes covered in crud as you’d expect. Spent this morning cleaning and it’s spotless again. I haven’t done the ceramic coat but have used ACF 50 which seems to do a good job. Totally agree on the drier though, well worth it
A tip I was shown years ago was always dry the bike on it''s side stand, I use the dryer to blow through the radiator, theres loads of water left in there!!

Yep I do that through the rad also problem with washing on the side stand for me is that the rear wheel can't spin.
Nice one Steve - it does sound good 👍
Did a vid this morning with the camera over the exhaust. Nearly lost the camera lol. We should catch-up this season James
@@stevesherlockrides Yes, let’s make it happen 👍 I owe you a lunch or two.
Defo
Shouldn't you be lubing the inside of the chain ?
No, never lubed the chain on the inside ever. My fireblade needed a new chain after 16k miles after doing my normal thing.
Ps love you your name tag
@@stevesherlockrides I've probably done half a million miles and never lubed the outside.
You don’t need to lube at all.
X ring chains are internally lubed.
Any oil/lube is just to prevent to bare metal rusting.
So therefore you do need to lube otherwise rust on chain and limited life?
