I love Jonathan Toews he's my favorite player and very funny and also just someone who is very special. I thought of him this past night and so while my favorite band Popol Ace (They're Norwegian from the 70s and have the coolest sound in the galaxy) blared out of the speakers I sang the song I'm quoting to him (all the lyrics) in a letter I'm writing (I like positive activity!) to him "Between You and Me." It's interesting that cold climates produce class athletes and please do wish me luck with my future plan to emigrate to Canada. I love my country (I'm American), but I decided Norway was too far from home and I honestly just want to state a not so humble comment about Toews, Kane, and hockey: Canada is the greatest country in the world and hockey players from Canada, the USA, and all countries are the classiest coolest guys in the universe!
He doesnt get called clutch.every time by nbc announcers but he is Captain Clutch. Toews is a 2 way centerman who plays a whole lot of defense. Broke nhl record by scoring two goals in gm 5 against ducks to tie the gm under 2min left to play. Greateat Captain in all of sports
10 game winning playoff goals, 2nd most for any player from his era, Kane & Pavelski tied for 1st with 11 each. Except Toews production has been far more valuable than Pavelski....you can only make a case for Kane being more clutch offensively but Toews is def a better all around player.
Toews has only eclipsed 70 points once in his entire career. I think he would not be nearly as famous or liked if he didn't have that team around him. You're only as good as your last playoff series.

You measure a player by how effective they are for their team, not by filling up stats sheets in meaningless regular season games.
PersianSelection Toews is as effective as any solid 3rd liner in the league. He produces because he gets 1st line minutes. Kane is light years ahead of him in terms of talent. Toews contract will hurt the Blackhawks in the coming years.

Nah You just like to see big time scoring numbers. He scores in clutch moments in the playoffs and plays a ton of def. Leaders are so underated
