I’m gonna get the mega man collection on the Nintendo switch today now !!!! Gotta love these 2 man this is literally my favorite show ever !!!! This show makes me so happy
I am 43 years old and a dad. This is the reason why I still love Nintendo. Video games are supposed to looking like video games and fun. These modern Movie like almost life like video games are not fun. These games are.
It’s so great seeing you guys get together. Honestly, it’s endearing seeing how genuine you guys are and what great friendship where you guys can talk about your gaming memories and just have fun. Glad to see Robman’s doing well! Love ya guys!
MM 2 or 3 have to be my favorites, too tough to pick between those. Everything Rob said about 2 was spot on. That ending with the last underground level with the alien was such a huge twist my adolescent brain could not comprehend and with the somber ending were just too good. The third game did everything that two did well and added some legit difficulty and neat features to it, the one and only flaw about two is that it was just too easy. MM is one of my top three favorite game series of all time, great vid!
It's a reference to the channel RedLetterMedia. They have a show called Half in the Bag where they talk about recent movies, similar format to this video. There's a running gag where when one of them is confused or disagrees, they edit the other person as a still image. It wasn't a "hide-edit?!" at all. Take a breath, my guy.@@Ozma2086
Megaman Man Soccer was one of the many soccer themed games released in North America in the context of the 1994 FIFA's World Cup in the USA. Japan had a similar soccer craze reflected on the games released there when the J-League began in 1993 and became an established professional sport there.
When John and Rob team up for a video, you just know it's gonna be a good day. My suggestion would be, when Rob visits, record 11 episodes, save the 12th for the Christmas special, and then release one John and Rob video per month.
Only Megaman game I have played is 2 on Gameboy, but loved watching Rob get to gush over his favourites! Love seeing you two making videos togother! :)
I'll always have to give it up to Mega man 2. Game I discovered the series with at a really formative time in my life. It's also just a darn good game! PS. Looks like you've been beefing up the editing dude! Great Job!
I love ya Johnny, but I'm excited to see Rob Man with ya today. Perfect timing too I'm shooting a Mega Man video today myself so its nice to hear his take on them.
lol! The editing on this was very funny. lol things go off the rails instantly. Johnny did not know what to do about the Soccer start(not I). LOL! Very funny. What a great pair.
Great to see ROBMAN back on the channel!!! Grats on getting back up and running Rob, supper happy for you!! Gotta be for me MMX2, MMX, MM2, MM4, MMX4. I sucked at these so bad back in the day and it wasn't until the MMX series that I could actually get somewhere in these games, and it felt amazing to be able to bend these to my will finally! Went back to the classic series not to long ago and was finally able to get somewhere in them by changing my thinking around an actually using the special weapons during a stage as opposed to treating them like gold! LOL
I'm so thrilled to see Rob man again. This made my week! I remember BEGGING my family for Mega Man 2 for Christmas. Some time in mid December we went to the video shop and they had Mega Man 2 for rent. I beat the game multiple times in that single weekend and had to share the experience with my mom and dad. A couple weeks later I am opening Christmas presents and under my tree was a fresh new copy of Mega Man 2 and my mom felt so bad that I had already finished it. I let her know that, no, I was keeping it and that I would play it again and again, and again... I still have that copy of Mega Man 2 on my shelf. It is easily a top 5 game for me too.
I can listen to these guys forever. I love how passionate they are about games. Even tho I'm a generation behind em, I resonate with there early gamer struggles. I grew up gaming in the 90s but didn't even get a PlayStation till closer to 2000. So I stuck with my SNES and Genesis. Miss those days
Great video as always guys ! That MegaMan Soccer curveball was a good one. As for myself Mega Man 7 is my top spot. It was the first one I played way back on the SNES and grew up on me since. The music, multiple path, Bass, Mega Man being more than a robot. So many things that made this one, my favorite.
I am SO happy to see you and Robman doing this video. Proud of you both, loved having Rob on the podcast and would love to have you on sometime Johnny. Rob’s a great dude. Keep up the great content.
Great pics, I always go back and forth with Mega Man 2 and Mega Man 3. Those two games are always fighting for top spot with me. Haven't played Mega Man 11, will check it out. Cheers
Fantastic video! Loved Rob's passion about Mega Man! Personally I have never played Mega Man Soccer before, so now I will have to try it! I do agree with him about everything about Mega Man 2! It really is that damn good!
Last week I listened to all of Robmans Megaman videos on his and the HCG channel. What a topic to cover this Sunday, I LOVE IT! Robs reaction to recieving the Megaman 9 press kit was so genuine and pure it is infectious! BRING BACK THE MEGAMAN LEGENDS SERIES CAPCOM🙏
Haha so cool to see that MegaMan 9 presskit. And hearing that call from Rob made ME even emotional. I remember renting the Megaman games at my local videostore too. It was funny because a NES cartridge would fit in a clamshell VHS box. That is how they rented those games to us. Megaman 2 is my all time fav 🥳🥳🥳
I enjoyed all of the Mega Man games, but MegaMan 3 will always be my favorite. It introduced not only Rush, but ProtoMan as well. Also you can fight the MegaMan 2 bosses in Dr. Willy's castle.
MM2 for me also. I remember coming home from school one day and this was on the table as I opened the door. It's my favorite game in the NES game down. I've beaten it so many times.
You guys picked a pretty good day to release this video seeing as how I had just been playing a bunch of Megaman myself. XD In fact, the other thing that's weird is how that message Rob left on Johnny's phone about the Megaman 9 thing just so happened to have occurred on my birthday. I also love that the Megaman 9 NES cart actually opens up to reveal the actual game considering that you had your game store friend on the show who said that young people thought that NES carts were gonna open up to reveal the game. XD
I’ve watched every Rob episode of the show that has concerned Mega Man. I guessed that MM11 and MM9 would be on the list and correctly guessed his #1 pick. But I’ll admit I was surprised by the inclusion of MM1 and Soccer!
Always love when Rob is on the show. I don't comment on every video, but Johnny's channel is my favorite retro channel. I put so many videos on a watch later list, but Johnny's videos are stop-everything-and-watch for me.
My introduction to Mega man was my friend in the 5th grade (1993) letting me borrow Mega Man 3. Me and my cousin beat it with the 2nd controller trick. It was amazing
My favorites since my teen years have always been Mega Man 2 and X1, but replaying Mega Man 3 recently surprised me how easily it joined those two as one of my favorites.
Always great to see Rob come through for an episode, and even better when talking Mega Man!!! I've been a huge mega Man fan since childhood, and always enjoy sharing in Rob's enthusiasm for the kickass series. My top 5 (from the whole franchise) 5. Mega Man 3 (love proto-man's theme) 4. Mega Man Zero 4 3. Mega Man X3 2. Mega Man Legends 1. Mega Man ZX
I love these vids! I finally played through 1-10 for the first time after years of enjoying a few spin offs and have now found my love for the series. I'm currently playing 11 and I love the insight af a die hard fan like Rob!
Always start my Sunday here watching with my morning coffee. I remember back when I was 6 and it was just like he said you didn’t know back then when games were coming out so it was just a surprise. Anyway I was a huge MM2 fan and it was my birthday and I walked into Toys R Us looking for a game and holy crap MM3 came out that day! I remember my brother and I playing that all night long. It was so crazy to just walk in to a store back in the day not knowing what to expect and then bam! Solid gold just presents itself to you. Really miss those days, yeah we ended up with a lot of stinkers but when you struck gold it was like discovering a new element. You’d go around to your friend group and be like you have to buy this game and you’d bring them over and they would have no clue.
I was one of the Capcom Unity members active enough to get selected for a chance to buy a Mega Man 9 press kit (I wanted it so badly. I hadn't seen anything like that before, converting an NES cart into a CD holder and mocking up the label and box, all just to distribute some art assets and such to the press on a CD. Obviously the Mega Man fans went nuts when they saw it, and it's little surprise that certain kickstarters tried to offer retro style game boxes and the like to entice big pledges even if the execution left a lot to be desired, but on the other hand when it comes to making romhack/translation reproduction cartridges, stickers, boxes, etc. the fans really deliver on this front so you can have a working complete in box copy of Earthbound Zero/Beginnings for NES as if you came from a timeline where the US release wasn't canceled, or perhaps a romhack packaged up like a retail game. Or maybe you just want end label stickers for your N64 games. The Mega Man 9 press kit seems so quaint compared to what you can find on places like Etsy nowadays, but I still treasured mine and left the plastic wrap on. After ~50 dedicated and active Capcom Unity forum members were chosen for a chance to buy one of the press kits for I want to say $50, after some time they did release the (preaumably small) remaining stock of press kits to tge public through the Capcom store page (where I purchased my Mega Man 9 boxart shirt) however they were priced at double what the chosen active forum users that were picked were charged if I recall correctly. Sadly, I had to sell my Mega Man 9 press kit, in addition to my new in box Hyrule New3DS that I planned to jailbreak, my handheld Zelda, Metroid, and Castlevania games, and my most valuable old Pokémon cards, and perhaps more that I don't quire recall after I was in a car crash not two weens after trading in my dying hunk of junk and spending everything else towards the diwn payment on said car, and while the full coverage insurance did pay off the reat of it after it was totalled, I had to borrow the money for a new down payment from family and sold my few yet relatively valuable gaminf things to cover the costs.
The real question is, did Rob tell Capcom about almost getting molested in an old Vancouver arcade to play Mega Man the Power Battle? Because then I'm pretty sure he'd win more than just an honorable mention in the Biggest Mega Man Fan Ever category. I mean, who could top that?
You know it’s gonna be a good day when John and Rob make a video together.
True. They have a precious friendship
Couldn't have said it better myself.
Rob being so excited he’s crying on the voicemail is so wholesome and shows his passion awww lol
It's so cool that Johnny kept it
It’s always good to see Rob on the show.
That phone call from Rob is amazing.
I was about to say the same thing! That's a treasure!
Megaman X was my first Megaman game and will probably always be my favourite! Such solid mechanics and an awesome soundtrack!
Same her bro
The unimpressed, annoyed Johnny face when Rob pulled out Mega Man Soccer was the best. "Right.....right....ya ya ya....hmm............ya."
I wasn't ready for this episode ... nice edits, emotions, Rob... so much love in here. I love you guys!
I’m gonna get the mega man collection on the Nintendo switch today now !!!! Gotta love these 2 man this is literally my favorite show ever !!!! This show makes me so happy
You are in for a treat😁
@@Joseph928100 so excited !!
They are tough 😫
@@TheMightyWumbo I know .. I know … I’ve watched my cousins play them lol I’m nervous

Anytime Rob is on and you guys are talking old gaming memories I get taken away to this special place where I forget all of my problems.
It's always nice to see Rob on the show!
It really is!

Johnny having an aneurysm and glitching out at 1:34 lmao!!
It's a freeze frame, you can see the split down the middle :D
The phone call from Rob is a TREASURE. So glad you captured it and have shared it with all of us!
Makes my day when a HCG video drops.
I love this channel, Megaman 2 is also my favourite.
Over at RGF I have reviewed the entire Megaman mainline series.
Keep up the good work.
The original Mega Man X is definitely my all time favorite. I can clear that game in an hour I've played it so many times and it never gets old
You can tell Johnny is a redlettermedia fan by the way he edited rob talking to a still frame of him for like a minute lmao.
Oh my gaaaaawwwwwwwdddddddd......
timestamp?
After we waited so long for Robman!
Wtf is that about? Why not just video edit over it, rather than the unatural hide-edit?!

Megaman Man Soccer was one of the many soccer themed games released in North America in the context of the 1994 FIFA's World Cup in the USA.

Mega Man Legends for sure. one of the greatest incomplete and forgotten series ever
Wonderful episode! More Rob and Megaman are welcome!
What an awesome list and video! I always love when you have RobMan on. That answering machine message was awesome!!!
My older brother bought Megaman 2 for me. It’s one of the fondest memories I had playing video games probably ever.

It'd be cool to hear Robman's thoughts on the Mega Man Maker fan game! It's a pretty incredible project and is filled with creative levels.

2. Mega Man Legends
1. Mega Man ZX
There is no bad answer, but Mega Man 4 has always been my personal favorite! Ftom the ost to the power ups, level and boss design, it's perfect!
4 is great and unfortunately really underrated
I love the Soccer reveal, and the every single time Johnny is on camera, in between gameplay. He doesn’t move. And its soooo funny to me.
Loved hearing ACG was subbed to you in his podcast, like one of his only subs
Mega Man 3 is my favorite. You get appearances from the bosses from MM2, the music... 2 was what got me hooked, but 3 is special.
There are few things in the world that are more pure than a gamer's love for his favorite game.
Wow never knew about megaman soccer. It looks so cool😍
Megaman 2, Megaman-X, and Megaman Legends.

Ive only played mega man legends 1 &2 since im not into side scroller games as much. But fun to learn a bit more about the history

100 % new to the series, and I totally get it with mega man 2! I love picking it up and noodling around even though it's tough to learn
MM Legends, MM2 to 4 are the GOATs to me!
1. MM:Legends
2. MM7
3. MM3
4. MM2
5. MM: Battle Network
