- OPEN ME!: Welcome to my Friday! After starting the day with a very unusual trip to Whole Foods with Mom, it was time to sit down at my desk and try to get some work done. I had a ton of book project admin that needed to be done, mostly working on the front and back matter for the book. So there's lots of writing chat in this vlog as well. I hope you enjoy! :) xx

I love your longer vlogs!! I've been binge watching for weeks now. Also, I've read almost all of your books, and they have been a breath of fresh air from my typical genre lately. I'm very excited about the next book you come out with. In the future, I'd love an audio book version of your books! Lol, I know that's a stretch, but it would be amazing. None the less, I love all of this. Your videos are always lovely, from the music, the transitions, intro, and outro. I think you make lovely content, and it has always made me want to watch more. So, I appreciate your longer videos for sure. As always, thank you for posting and sharing your life with us ❤

I can't wait for you to be able to read the next one. :) Audiobooks are a long term goal for me, but they are generally expensive to produce and don't have the biggest return. But I'm definitely thinking about it. :)
Hi, I don't remember if I have been subscribed 2 or 3 years, but I like your new intros, and something you did in a vlog that it looked like flipping a page, to change for a new clip, like a book. I was so awesome! Because this is mostly a writing channel, it felt very natural

Love the new intro! I haven't commented in a while, but have continued to watch every video you've posted.The England ones....oh my goodness, magical 💞. I only watch you and Christy Anne Jones now in terms of author content. To me, you are the only two keeping it real and I find I can relax into my writing after watching, instead of feeling like I have to do all the things right now. Not a new viewer but sometimes I fail at commenting. I am loving the new intro, it's a cute little trailer for the video. So exciting your books are doing well and you reached 4,444! I love watching your relaxed style to writing because I need that and I'm trying to implement it so I don't burn out like I tend to do with it.

Well, I can tell you what Mandy is thinking: 1) I need to find a timer like yours but in MY favorite color, 2) it is always so exciting seeing you nearing the end of a project and starting to work on things like the book cover, 3) I seem to remember summers always being a hard time of year for you but this year you seem to be doing SO much better and you seem happier which makes me smile, 4) I've been loving my Kindle lately and am thinking I need to download the entire ATP series when the new one comes out and take a little staycation just to binge read them all, 5) I've been meaning to sign up for the newsletter for a while now but by the end of the videos I always forget to go and do it, but today I found this amazing thing called the "pause button" so I used it and went over there to join real quick. I will enjoy that once or twice-a-year surprise in my email whenever you get around to it, even if it's just a reminder that "hey, you can go buy the book now!", and 6) I also am liking the new intros.
Something about me I haven't told you before? Girl, I think I need to break down and get a writing desk. I've been doing my work from my reclining couch for years but it's becoming so much my UA-cam spot now that I'm spending all my time watching stuff when I should be turning it off and writing stuff. Also, if I'm on the couch my kids think they can interrupt me constantly. *sigh* I think a place that is my "focus" spot would help so much, along with that timer you have that seems made for visual people like myself.

I love this comment so much! I totally relate to the ping pong ball of a brain. :) I'm loving the timer, so I hope you can find one in your favorite color. The fact that mine is "peony pink" makes it even better lol. This summer is definitely going better for me, I think waking up early so I can go for a walk most days has been a game changer. I'm changing my approach to my newsletter, so you'll be getting weekly emails, but they'll be shorter, so hopefully that won't be too annoying? :) I'm so glad you're enjoying the intros. They've become a lot of fun to put together when I edit. And I need to get ATP4 out soon so you can download the whole series! ;)
And omg, girl, get a desk! Or a small writing table. Having a little spot that's just for writing is a game changer. :)

Hi Andrea! I rarely ever comment on UA-cam but I thought I'd make an exception. I'm a new subscriber - one of your recent London hauls randomly appeared on my homepage and I had to subscribe. I live and work in London, mainly teaching the history of London to American university exchange students who come here to study either for an entire semester or for a summer school. I also do a bit of teaching in Oxford too. :) So many of the places I take my students cropped up in your London vlogs and it's always so refreshing to see places I'm so familiar with through the eyes of others - it really does make me appreciate how lucky I am to live and work where I do.

I already commented on the new preview style of your vlogs, can't wait for Vlogmas and England vlogs to feature that new style! As for something you don't know about me, I'm a home birth and live in the same home in the same bedroom I was born in :) Bonus: I have 12 ear piercings (6 pairs) that were all birthday milestones:
1st pair at 16 (actually it was re-pierced, long story); 2nd pair at 18 (2nd lower lobes); 3rd pair at 25 (upper lobes); 4th pair at 30 (2nd upper lobes); 5th pair at 35 (3rd lower lobes); and the 6th pair at 42 (should've been at 40 but couldn't do it during 2020 lockdown).
That's amazing that you've lived in the same house for that long! As someone who's moved around so much, it's hard to imagine having that much history with one home. :) And omg, you're braver than me, I only have one pair of piercings and it took me 39 years to finally pierce them!

Yep! Yours don't? They're missing a trick lol! Most of our supermarkets have a cafe in them, either a Starbucks or their own brand, like at Whole Foods. So it's nice to have someone to put your drink while you shop.
