    Good vid brother. Don't forget the diff vent tube replacements. They can corrode, plug up and blow seals. Easy fix and worth the .5 hour.

    The tire pressure light is a known issue. I took my xterra to the dealership for its check up, they "fixed" the light but said it may come back on. It did. I just be sure to check the tire pressure. Thanks for a great video!

    Regarding the remote start - I researched the same thing for my 2010 xTerra.
    From the research I did, I found you need to install a bypass module to bypass the security system that recognizes the chip in the OEM key when it is inserted.

    • @HawkeyeSkunkWorks
      @HawkeyeSkunkWorks  4 роки тому

      This has the bypass module, it just all needs to be reprogrammed.

    yes there was a recall for earlier models but it's already expired. My fuel sending unit went out on my 05 xterra I had to buy a fuel sending unit on amazon. I cut through the bottom left rear seat and pulled the old one out and put the new one in took about 2 hours and welded with jbweld back the seam good as new.

    For remote start, there is a plug and play kit on amazon that uses the oem key fob. Thinking about picking up one myself for these cali hot summer days lol. And for those fog lights, their known for their poor quality... I was about to purchase it to install in my fog light holes but got talked out of it. Gunna try fitting those xprite jeep fog lights this coming week hopefully!

    My TPMS sensor went off ALL the time on my 08 Xterra last few years (no leaks ... pressure okay ... Sensors okay) and then few months back I saw a video from scotty kilmer channel that said if you don't use a Qualcomm labeled cellphone charger it may set off your TPMS and what do you know haven't had that light pop up since I stopped using cheap chargers 🤣

    • @HawkeyeSkunkWorks

      Google it, theres TONS about it out there. You basically bypass the cooler inside the radiator.

      Check all 5 tires air pressure. If they’re ok then you have a bad sensor and you’ll need to take it to a shop.

    Nissan has a junky TPMS. The sensors corrode and hard to repair. Be aware that the spare has a sensor that can corrode, as well..

    • @HawkeyeSkunkWorks
      @HawkeyeSkunkWorks  3 роки тому

      Par for the course with TPMS, damp air inside the tire and constant temp changes dont bode well for the sensors. Yes like this most TPMS cars have one in the spare.

    fuel tank needs to be dropped to fix the fuel sending unit. the problematic FSU gets hung up in the fuel tank and doesnt report a correct fuel level. the new FSU has been redesigned to fix that isssue.

      If you’re not towing, or driving constantly in the mountains or 100 degree temps the stock external one by itself is perfectly fine, people have been doing it and writing about it on these for years. New rads with internal cooler can still fail, it’s just a lousy design. Yes, if you want to be extra safe and awesome, go to a bigger, stand alone, external cooler.
