😊 the magic eraser looks like it's done a good job 😊,but I promise you, that toothpaste works brilliant on white plastic&rubber compounds 😊 it's hard to believe but it's true 😀 like I said it's works brilliant on Cabretta leather gloves too, trouble is you have to let gloves slowly dry over 4days+ try it you won't be disappointed.
Use soap and brush. Let them soak for a few. Then, use nail polish remover. You’re welcome. It will look brand new and even bring back the “sticky” feel when u take it out of the box. Make a video of it and try it out. All I want is credit. It will take off most of the sharpie marks from previous owners
Try clothes wash vanish powder and warm water. Short bristle scrubbing brush. I have around 1200 recovered lake balls, they get steeped in warm water with bleach then Vanish is added. Leave over night. Spotless after a scrub. You can see the Vanish fizzing around the black algae.
I use Hypochlorite. First I soak the batch of balls in very hot water for an hour or 2 agitating every now and again. Then I use a 50/50 mix of Hypo and water and soak the batch for another 2 hours agitating a couple of times. Then I put them in water to rinse off and then rub dry with a towel. They come up amazing. No scrubbing involved whatsoever
I just use washing up detergent in some warm water, soaked for 30 mins, then an old soft toothbrush scrub while dipping. Acetone and a cotton bud/q tip, to get rid of the pen marks.
I have cleaned 1000's of golf balls using an oxi clean product called Formil Oxi Action (Buy from Lidl.) and you mix 1 or 2 scoops of it in warm/hot water and leave the golf balls in it for 30-60 minutes. And rather than using a dry or wet cloth to wipe away the dirt/stains, I use a 'magic' sponge which can really shift off the most stubborn dirt. And after all that if there are any 'rare' stubborn stains I put some Baking Soda on a cloth, wet the baking soda so it's like a toothpaste and then use that to scrub off the stubborn stain.
I know you start to use a toothbrush, but toothpaste is tops!! I have even used toothpaste to clean my white Cabretta leather gloves,it brings them up like new!! Leave toothpaste on for 10mins then rinse off!! Gloves are gleaming,I even use toothpaste on white leather trainers to bring them in new condition 😊
Washing up liquid has salts added that act as abrasives. This may be why it was more effective during the tooth brush scrub. It's also why you should never use Fairy on your car. May be kind to hands but it'll f**k up your paintwork!
Why would you use balls that sat in a lake or creek for any length of time? Water permeates the cover and their performance is reduced. Why not just clean your golf balls with a towel while you’re on the links?
@@upclosegolf fair point! I am a high handicapper and until about a year ago, most of my golf balls came from creeks and ponds. Then I read an article that said golf balls absorb water and their performance changed. Who knew! So I still fish out balls from the water but I leave them on the shore. Sorry for overthinking your video!
@@stevetilk4926ha ha! No probs. To be honest you probably do lose some performance with lake balls, bit like buying a used car - you never know how the previous owner treated it! That being said they are a good price. With these videos I just have a bit of fun cutting golf balls open and stuff. Thanks for your comment 👍🏌️♂️
Ha ha! You’d be surprised how many people can’t actually wash their hands thanks for the tip. appreciated your comment, don’t forget to like and subscribe 😂
Who keeps a ball more than one round? If I find a new Pro V1 I will keep it and wash it, otherwise I give them away to golf partners who aren’t so selective and snobbish like me. At 76 yo I can finally afford to play decent balls and not cry when they join the squirrels!🇨🇦👨🦳👍

Clean balls is important. Washing them in the shower is the best way

Ha ha! Ok that’s a deal, I’ll use my wife’s nail polish remover and then toothbrush…she’s gonna love me lol! 😂😂
Who wants sticky balls? No one. I've never had a brand new ball feel "sticky"

That’s a great idea…I think I’ll have to try that next…big question though should I still use my wife’s toothbrush? 😂🏌️♂️

I use hot water bleach and Dawn. Works
I used the ball washer at the golf course,,I got kicked out 😋 had lovely shiny balls though 😵💫😊
😂😂🏌️♂️
Was not expecting that, good shit
Greatly appreciate this. It’s always best, I think, to follow a successful example than to assume I know everything. Good stuff.
Appreciate your comment! 👍🏌️♂️

Yeah that’s a good tip with the cotton bud. I’m gonna try nail polish remover for the pen marks next time. 👍🏌️♂️
Use them both it works great
Interesting. I always feel the treated balls become a little softer and fly better.
I have never heard the term "washing up liquid" before. lol Very interesting comparison!
Ha ha! What do you call it? 👍
@@upclosegolfthat bottle looks like dish soap. I'm guessing that's what washing up liquid is 🤷♂️ lol
American/british
My wife’s toothbrush. Lmao
Shhhh! Don’t tell her! 😂😂
She probably uses his to clean the toilet to get her own back😂
now you say it my toothbrush has been tasting a bit strange recently! 😂😂
Could you clean them with washing your hands liquid then get them perfect white with bleach?

How do you address the ball
It depends what their pronouns are, but usually ‘sir’ or ‘mr golf ball’ 👍🏌️♂️
