I did the Emil’s memories sidequest but the door is locked when I get down there

@GustavoHawke make sure to flag down and talk to Emil in the city ruins after switching chapters or beating the game, then you can go down

Hopefully it's not too late... But I faced the same problem. Do not waste your time fighting the robots go strait to the door. Seems like there's a timer and if you take too long the door will not open.

You have to do it between the forest kingdom and the fight against the big ocean based machine.

Okay, I have no clue if I juts got crazy lucky or what, but when I fought him, he did his laser attack first, and I dealt half his health in one hit after dodging, then just finished him off with a second. I thought everyone in the community just perpetuated a joke of him being crazy hard, but after a few videos I don't know what to think anymore

Ok, I discovered that, at least in my case, I had to buy something from Emil in order for him to start the "hell in a hand basket" speech. After that I was able to go to Emil's house, hack into the chest and start the boss fight..

My 2b isn't losing any hp at all, I may made something at her attributes or the reason is cause that she were 86lvl or just a simple bug, cause am losing HP at the remaining characters A2 & 9S....How ever thank you very much brother, I need to update my unit data for the recon squad at middle end of the game.

Someone help, emil quest competed, but still can access the door with many dead bodies, the elevators went fine, but not the final room.
P.S. running as fast as possible doesn't work too(

Por si alguien lo está jugando en switch, tengan mucho cuidado con está misión para que no les pase lo que me pasó a mi, se me bugeo la misión por obtener la máscara con 2B luego al cambiar capítulo y elegir a 9S me aparecía la máscara otra vez en lugar del cofre en la habitación de emil sólo que no podía agarrarla por que ya la tenía en mi inventario así que no pude completar la misión. Muy frustrante la verdad porque le he invertido más de 60 horas la juego y sólo me faltaba eso para el 100%

I finished Emil's memories but the door inside of the deep cave will not open. I started the mainline quest Missile Supply Mission without thinking about this quest. I haven't actually gone down the sewers to start the quest but is that quest interfering with the secret boss side quest? I'm level 52 is that also stopping me from fighting him because of a base level requirement or something that might be needed to start it? Also having a hard time getting his shop to spawn outside of the desert entrance. I think it's because I started the mainline story quest by talking to anemone but maybe that's just placebo. Would appreciate anyone able to give guidance seeing as I've spent 4 hours alone just trying to get Emil's shop to spawn with the weapons. Thanks

You actually need to talk to Emil (he'll tell you that you are invited or something); you'll need to do it every time you choose a different chapter, otherwise door will be locked
