YOU HAVE COME A LONG WAYS LADY YOU DID GOOD KEEP YOUR HEAD UP HUN CONGRAS ON GOOD GAME , WISH YOU ALL THE BEST ON YOUR HUNTING THIS YEAR , LOVE YOUR VIDEOS HUN GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY ,
Beautiful country!! Look how far you’ve come young lady. I’ve followed since your self filmed doe hunt two years ago and it’s great to see how you’ve improved everything over that time. Good luck this season…it’s that time of year!!
Awesome Job!! Looked like so much fun & a great experience! It's that time of the year for big bucks & that beautiful fall weather! Slangin' arrows & filling the freezer! Look forward to the upcoming hunting season, best of luck keep Killin' it!
Great video as always, Watched it a few times now and think you did very well together with coping with the pressure exacerbated by the high altitude. There’s also, like many pursuits, a mind set game which comes from shooting in a group versus the pleasurable isolation of a deer stand, that being said, it will hopefully all translate into your getting a special Buck come the Fall. Location a bit nostalgic for me here in Bonnie Scotland as 25 years ago I spent a lot of time in Park City.
That was really interesting to see those days from your point of view as Chris did for his one. I shot a course in France last week, my longest pin was set to shoot 35m, every target further was just a guessing shot. It took me 6 attempts to hit the boar at 65m 😅
The mountains in Utah and Wyoming are no joke! The elevation is real! I love tac and do it every year in park city just cuz I live in Evanston Wyoming which is real close so maybe we’ll see ya on the trail! Great vid btw!
One thing is to be noted and understood about long distance shooting and why you might have a little trouble zeroing into your preferred area of impact, considering your compound bows sight window area, and depending on your own personal body frame and size and his or hers muscle strength and the amount of time it takes you to get your muscle memory together, naturally you'll need to figure out the balance of your bow poundage, draw length, clearance between your sight and your arrow passing through, these certain factors will dictate what your maximum distance, I'm sure there are a enough people around your area to help you figure this out, higher poundage, draw length, flatter trajectory should give you longer range
That was awesome...! Such a mad calculation adjusting for elevation & windage, did you see other women there? I'd say you gained some respect out in that field...
Hey, no mystery; it is precisely the reason I try to explain to our customers that 0.001 (vs. 0.006) arrows help greatly beyond 60 yards (@TAC). That was "mana from heaven" finding that GT Pro to finish the weekend with. Great times. Thanks, K.
Excellent. In the 5..7 minute section, it seemed like initially you had backwind and towards the end headwind - looking at the way your hair was blown by the wind. Do you have a way to take that into account? I can imagine both wind angle and speed play a big role in precision. Now imagine an open stretch of wood with side-wind and your arrow flies leeward in the wind shade of the trees, except there is a cross section in the flight path where the wind will play on the arrow. In the terrain where you do this TAC, with hills and trees and open stretches, these forces can go anywhere and change any second or minute. In archery games (outdoors) you'll see wind vanes that could help, but I'm not sure if the archers seriously look at them.
I was affected by the elevation when I first move to utah and i lived in Missouri most of my life and now I'm back in Missouri, went rabbit hunting yesterday with my longbow
You can still go to Michigan TAC, June 10-12, 2022, even if registration shows full on the website, and even if you show up to Crystal Mountain by mistake (since Boyne is closed for lift repairs this year). Lol.
Dang!!! Wish we knew you were in town. Would have LOVED to shoot some arrows with you. I Have a goal to collaborate with you on a hunt one day. Maybe next year’s antelope in Wyoming?? With our bows?
Kaitlyn I was shooting a tournament back in the eighties and the guy who won that tournament was in the group in front of me on the last day ,,and I got close to him and watched him real close , and he would before every shot , without trying to give away his secret, look up at the sky without squinting and then roll his eyes back to the target ,,, and what he was doing was closing his pupils by purposely looking towards light ,,,,, and I think that you may benefit from this technique
I am hunting in Japan with shotguns and traps. Bow and arrow is not legal in Japan , but I'm very interested in it. I subscribed to the channel. Good luck to all of us.
Did you take elevation into account with regards to your sight tape? PC is between 7 and 10-thousand feet, makes a big difference to shooting at sea level
@12:18 I don't care what anybody says, free arrows always...ALWAYS shoot better. Whether you believe it or not there's always a little something in the back of your mind that tells you you don't want to lose a $20 arrow
This particular one is a women's pack by prois, but Badlands packs are my go-to. Extremely well built and they have packs for all kinds of hunting situations
Noticed the arrows shot on the practice range all were rotated with one vane down. Is that something you find consistent? New to the archery game. My QAD shoots best with two vanes down, but my bow is definitely not an expensive setup. Dumb question to ask, but interested to see your response will try before the season opens up.
I only shoot with the main vane down past 70 yards with that particular set up because if I didn't, the top vane would hit my site and totally throw my arrow off. That's simply just because of the position of the site. You shouldn't do it unless you run into a similar situation

You have come a long way lady. Chris has helped you elevate your game. It’s good to see you two doing a lot together.
Good job Kaitlyn. Practice, practice, practice, that’s archery. Keep it up.
Awesome Job!! Looked like so much fun & a great experience! It's that time of the year for big bucks & that beautiful fall weather! Slangin' arrows & filling the freezer! Look forward to the upcoming hunting season, best of luck keep Killin' it!
Don’t sell your self short. You did great! Keep flinging sticks.

All that shooting you did last summer paid off already this season. Congratulations! 😊

Kaitlyn, I think that over all you shot great 👍
no matter what, it looks like you all had FUN!!!!!

That tournament looked super fun.
I was wondering what the pants and boots you were wearing on the 3rd day are?! They are super cute and seemed like they held up well to hiking!
The logo on the side pocket of the pants was a Firstlite logo
Hi
Aww so cute and golden hand

That is the best real hunting practice that you can have.

Lol.

Be careful and your doing good
That had to be a blast!
That looked like a blast. Great real-life practice except for the animals ducking the string.
Dang!!! Wish we knew you were in town. Would have LOVED to shoot some arrows with you. I Have a goal to collaborate with you on a hunt one day. Maybe next year’s antelope in Wyoming?? With our bows?

Looked like a lot of fun! By chance did you shoot last so you could aim at their arrows😉, I always did!
Are you cutting yardage for uphill and down hill. ? you have to cut for both if your range finder does not have angle compensation
You are good.your all set for hunting

Yea It's usually about 1 or 2 yards off
Kaitlyn классная девченка!❤
Have you talked to the ranch fairy about your arrow tune, if you picked up a random arrow and its working for you maybe you need to tweek your setup

@12:18 I don't care what anybody says, free arrows always...ALWAYS shoot better. Whether you believe it or not there's always a little something in the back of your mind that tells you you don't want to lose a $20 arrow
@16:11 see...like I said...free arrows 😂
Great country, keep at it,doing good. Take longer breaths, then shoot. Elevation factor.
I want a elk target.
What backpack are you guys using here? I've been looking for a backpack recently and was curious what y'all are using?
This particular one is a women's pack by prois, but Badlands packs are my go-to. Extremely well built and they have packs for all kinds of hunting situations
@@KaitlynMausOutdoors Thank you for responding. I really appreciate you sharing this information ☺️
Nice work though I’d have a tough time doing that.
What a great experience for you looked like a blast
