    EDIT: I just wanted to say, the part saying how XC1's ending *might* have been similar to XC2 before the changes, that is only my SPECULATION X) All we do know is that the ending was changed, but what it was originally we haven't got a clue! Didn't mean to make that sound as if it were fact, it's part of the theory :) Sorry

      As others have already pointed out: The nopon knowledge is most likely just an easter egg.
      Actually, all of XcX is more or less an easter egg itself. I always recommend new comers to the entire Xeno series to save XcX for last because of how it seems to be this "greatest hits collection" of each of the Xeno series.

      Now if we take Origin into the picture, and if Mira is a byproduct of Origin being tossed away after XC3, then this makes quite sense that Nopon are seemingly native to Mira. Put this together with the fact that humans in X first discovered ether on Mira and it adds up.

    So I started the Xeno series with X, have played through all of 2 and am working my way through 1 Definitive Edition. I love these games dearly, but my understanding of the greater, overarching Xeno series besides Xenoblade is kinda limited to Wikipedia entries. I say all this to highlight a lot of the nuance and hidden references just go right over my head in this series and, while absolutely loving it, I think I struggle to get all out of it I can.

    I figured at best, the Telethia in X just has a different origin than Zanza, but addressing the theory at face value I'd say it's pretty good! I know X1 was originally made not in any relation to Gears or Saga - the original title was Monado, so while we have stronger Zohar allusions in X and 2, the fact that it wasn't originally in 1 kinda tosses me off any theory that may rely on being connected to Gears and Saga.

    • @infern24
      @infern24 3 роки тому +2

      I don't know why you guys still go on about xenoblade 1 not meant to be a xeno game when alvis is the third aegis from xenoblade 2 and has a core crystal necklace shaped like the conduit/zohar just like the other aegis core crystals, or the fact both 1 and 2 are connected. heck if you bothered to look at kayjulers' xenoblade 3 rumors video this week you'd learn that the xenoblade games are trying to tell the same episodic story takahashi's been trying to tell for years since xenogears from the xenogears perfect works. it was always meant to be a xeno game, heck that claim you just made also means you didn't watch the whole video above because he talked about how takahashi took those zohar/conduit elements out of xenoblade 1 to not confuse new players but originally they were gonna be in the game, therefore xenoblade 1 was always a xeno game. quit being in denial.

    • @ajbXYZcool
      @ajbXYZcool 3 роки тому +3

      @@infern24 So Alvis's necklace was a key in the original Xenoblade 1, and even if Xenoblade as a whole isn't connected to Xenogears or Xenosaga, I do agree that Xenoblade 1 is tied to Xenoblade 2 - theyre both Xenoblade after all. Now, looking at X1 as originally released, there's no Zohar-shaped object anywhere. True, there are hints and themes that are similar to his previous projects, but nothing even close to suggesting a connection. It just got the Xeno name as a nod to those titles. Now, could it have been retrofitted to now fit the whole Xeno mythos? Perhaps. I haven't seen KayJulers video on this subject mostly as it hadn't come out at the time of my post (or at least I wasn't aware of it), but yeah originally Xenoblade 1 wasn't conceived to be a part of Saga or Gears.

    • @LXGK
      @LXGK  3 роки тому +2

      Can I just say, this whole video is just theory and speculation. It's indeed true that *something* about the ending was changed, but in reality we don't know what. It's just an educated guess on my part given Takahashi described it as "previous knowledge", suggesting there was something in the ending originally that players would recognise but was removed to not confuse newer players to Monolith's games.
      Many people bring up the fact Xenoblade 1 wasn't meant to be one because it was originally a game called "Monado: Beginning of the World". Still obviously containing Gnostic references like his previous works [Monado = Monad], but it wasn't called Xeno.
      It's both plausible that there wasn't a plan for it to be a Xeno game and plausible Takahashi had a whole idea planned beforehand.
      Nevertheless, nothing to get heated about. Happy discussing :)

    Something that is worth considering as well is when Shulk makes his wish for a world with no God's and he throws his Mondado into the Monado ring, it shows what almost seems like either the creation or unbarring of a universe. The scene shows the bionis existing within a closed shell with nothing outside of it, and then it bursts into a full universe. So the question to be asked is did they create a new universe, or did they simply uncage their realm and join it with the rest of the world. Then that whole event opened up the fog gates that happened in Future Connected. Which possibly also opened the link that allowed Shulk to go into Xenoblade 2 whether you find it canon or not it makes sense.
    As well as for Elma, in the scene when she unveils her true form she comes out of a machine that looks awfully like the ones KOSMOS came out of in Xenosaga as well as the ones Shion had to go into to get into KOSMOS's subconscious, if I recall that correctly. So there's some possible connections between Elma and KOSMOS there as well. Lots of things in X being Zohar shaped, same with the Aegis symbols being
    Otherwise great video I love theorizing about these games.

    • @LXGK
      @LXGK  3 роки тому +1

      Thank you! Haha. As for where the Conduit came from, it's likely its origin will be similar to the Zohar in Xenosaga. Which is it was created at the birth of the universe during the big bang. One little hole I have in this theory is that Luxaar says the Samaarians came from another plane at the "dawn of the cosmos". Whereas my theory says they arrived 10,000 years ago (to fit with the other timelines). But if they were there at the beginning then they possibly already possessed the Conduit, and Mira is possibly the Samaarian's homeworld, and this is all sounding like I'll have to make another video haha. There's a lot of what ifs with this. It's all very interesting. But thanks again! :)

  • @ValToadstool
    @ValToadstool 3 роки тому +2

    Fantastic video, though I don't fully agree with everything. One theory I have is that Mira is created by Alvis or is even Alvis himself. Alvis acts similarly to the wave existence and u-do in gears in saga, u-do specifically attempts to observe humanity so it would make sense for Alvis to create Mira to for this purpose.

    • @LXGK
      @LXGK  3 роки тому +1

      This is possible. Though I suppose it would suggest that as a Trinity Processor he had more to him than the other two. Unless ofc this suggests that maybe he's not in fact Ontos and we've still yet to find out who that is. I think, were Alvis to have a greater connection to U-DO (or the "Divine Entity") then perhaps he'd be used as an observational terminal like Abel.
      Thanks to this comment section, I've found a few people suggesting that the world of Xenoblade 1 may take place in the Imaginary Number Domain, and X too as it would take place in the future of Shulk's world (his world being Mira in the past which Alvis created?).
      There's lots of X theories, I would like to cover more of them sometime :) Assuming the next game doesn't steal my thunder there lol

  • @DarthLocutus0
    @DarthLocutus0 3 роки тому +2

    I have a minor addendum to your theory.
    I noticed that you referenced Xenogears and Xenosaga, but didn't connect them.
    But they *are* connectable, by the Zohar/Conduit.
    All of the events involving Earth and the Zohar, leading up to the loss of Earth, in Xenosaga are pretty much exactly the same as those detailed as leading into the Klaus incident. I think that his tampering with the Conduit created all 5 timelines:
    -Xenoblade - pocket dimension with his dark half, Galea/Meyneth, and Ontos/Alvis
    -Xenoblade II - his good half, and the ruined remnants of Earth
    -Xenoblade X - at least a portion of the remains of humanity, as you theorize
    -Xenosaga - continues on from the Klaus incident, possibly with other survivors as in the X timeline
    -Xenogears - splits off from Xenosaga III, because I believe Xenosaga Abel and Xenogears Abel are one and the same

    • @LXGK
      @LXGK  3 роки тому +2

      Yeah, I mainly used Gears and Saga to show that Xenoblade might connect due to certain similarities. Plus I've yet to finish Gears so I don't feel I can add much on the subject. But I have finished Saga. And thinking just now. Xenosaga takes place 6000-7000 years after the Earth incident, whereas the Xenoblade games are set 10,000 years after. If Xenosaga happened in between.. and KOS-MOS's body landed back on Earth.. Klaus recreates her in Blade form.. hence why you can awaken her. Okay I need to rest my brain for a bit.

    Had to watch this asap ;o First of all: you could very well be right with this. It certainly fits. Where I disagree with is how you assume Klaus' conduit experiment created 3 separate spaces (original earth, Bionis/Mechonis, X). If we accept that, then it might also be possible that there's a 4th, 5th, 6th, n-th separate space, too. In other words: Yes, could be, but would it make the story more interesting?
    I agree with the connection of Future Connected and X - those Telethia are no coincidence. However, I think 2 spaces are enough to explain the games' connection. That is if you incorporate Xenosaga's world design into Xenoblade:
    - Xenoblade 2 represents the original space, our real world. It exists within the 'Real Numbers Domain' (RND)
    - Xenoblade 1 represents a rather insane space, a world set on top of living titans? Ku-razy! ;o It exists within the 'Imaginary Numbers Domain' (IND)
    - Xenoblade X exists within the IND, just a really long time after Xenoblade 1's events.
    Now the big argument will be 'but Alvis created Xenoblade 1's universe, it can't be the IND!'. I disagree. I think Alvis is not quite as powerful as he made us believe to. Maybe he doesn't know better. Or maybe he is kind of a villain as others have theorized. But matter of fact is that the IND is a place where thoughts and imagination are powerful assets. That's why in Xenoblade X, the different species can understand each other: they *want* to understand each other and so it happens. Heck, Alvis' "creation of a new universe without gods" might even be what caused the rifts in Future Connected. It would line up nicely timewise. Maybe he caused such a ruckus within the IND that monsters like the fog king (aka Xenoblade's version of the gnosis) fled over to the RND. Who knows, maybe Alvis was all-powerful and *destroyed* the IND, making gnosislike monsters seek refuge in the RND where they absolutely don't belong. That could be super exciting for Xenoblade 3, because without the IND, the whole lower domain becomes unstable and *that* will take the Upper Domain-inhabitants' attention :D
    Anyway, that's my 2 cent about it. I agree with a lot of your theory, I just don't accept the 3-way split you propose. We'll see ... soon, hopefully :D

    • @LXGK
      @LXGK  3 роки тому +2

      I suppose one of the main aims of this theory is to try and construct a scenario in which the events of X somehow take place as concurrently as possible to the other games, similar to how Xenoblade 2 isn't a sequel but a "side"-quel as it takes place at the same time. Perhaps I should cover the theory of X taking place in XC1's future.
      As for XC1 & X being the IND, I suppose after playing Saga I've not really imagined the IND as being any sort of observable realm. Only when things from the IND manifest in the RND as material entities do they take on any sort of form, was what I gathered from it. Although it does try to clean up one thing that's been bothering me about Xenoblade. With Saga you just had the Lower Domain with our universe in the RND and the IND, and then the Upper Domain. It becomes very convoluted with Xenoblade if you consider these games being in different "universes". Would they each have their own RND and INDs? Or would they share the same ones? Assuming these concepts return properly in a 3rd game ofc, with many thinking the Fog King is a proper return of the idea of the Gnosis.
      So imagining XC1 in the IND does make a lot of sense, and it prevents the irritating idea that there could be possibly infinite universes with at least one thing from the original Earth in them.
      But yeah, the 3 world and 2 world interpretation are prioritising the idea of X taking place as close as possible to the other games time-wise. Could make a video on a 1 world interpretation by going the "X takes place after 1" route :)

We know that the time-traveller on Mira is stuck there, so there's reason to believe entities from many different time periods ended up there. Could they have all been brought by the same event, or multiple different ones? Just some interesting thoughts your video sparked in my mind.

      @@noahthompson4925 Personally I strongly believe Takahashi will never fully implement any sort of real time travel into these stories. Knowing how complex they can get from his previous games, adding time travel would make it 10 times more difficult haha. That whole thing with Professor B in XCX should most definitely be left to just a fun sidequest I think.

    Might the telethia be seen as angels? Given Klaus's "ascension" as Zanza after utilising the Conduit (as Monoliths effectively served that same purpose in 2001 A Space Odyssey), as a new god his cells effectively could create his own angels, (backed up by their evolution into the more humanoid depiction of winged people). Telethia seem to largely serve the purpose of combating "gnosis", not strictly in the Xenosaga sense, but in the "knowledge" sense, the original sin (and the rejection of the divine). In Xenosaga, this manifests as the ghost-like entities (connection to X?) also named gnosis, but in the Xenoblade sense, this may simply be any being of sin. In XC1, Zanza denounces the lifeforms of the Bionis, effectively marking them as beings of sin, as they take light (ether) of god (Zanza) but actively work against him, and so the telethia carry out their mission of removing that which goes against god. In Futures Connected and XCX, the telethia are combating the fog and the tainted, which as you point out may well be connected (though we may have to wait until wave 4 of XC3 DLC to learn more), but both of these are in essence marking creatures of sin. Notably, the ovah, the virus within the orpheans of X, is also targeted by the telethia, but what this implies is difficult to say as we learn precious little about the true nature of the ovah. In a similar sense, however, it is a way for the orpheans to attain greater knowledge, so in this regard the ovah may be symbolic of the fruit of knowledge, a cheat and therefore a sin. The "fog" and the tainted may have some connection to the ghosts and to Saga's gnosis (which are likely one in the same), perhaps it is something as simple as "possession" by a ghost, but it's difficult to say.

    I like your theory, as far as my knowledge of the series goes it it really fits though i wouldn't call my knowledge of the series vast or anything close. Even if this theory doesn't pan out come xenoblade 3 i'll still always remember it because this is where I finally understand why the conduit buggers off in xenoblade 2. I thought it was due to some link it had with zanza so when he dies it fades away but no, it's because shulk literally tells it to get lost after killing zanza, like holy shit shulk wtf are you doing? Equally ridiculous is the damn thing complies, where would a god machine even go for holiday?

    • @LXGK
      @LXGK  3 роки тому

      Haha. But it's just my educated guess. I think it just lines up quite well. Their godlike abilities are granted to them by the Conduit and a wish to remove Gods could possibly be interpreted as moving the Conduit away. If Alvis has any sort of ability to create a universe (or even simply transport to another) then I think he's fully capable of moving the Conduit elsewhere. I mention this in my Aoidos Archives video, also some details on how Klaus knew it'd happen. The video is just text though, I plan to make a new version with voice over!
      But yeah, interesting stuff :)

    Strange I came to a different theory entirely. What if Xeno X comes before the original? They appear in Blade Headquarters, and Alma can be a Blade in xeno 2. Could it be possible when the Architect says that he recreated all that once existed he meant actual humans from his earth that he destroyed? Could all Blades be the humans from his world? A lot of the blades seem to also have American accents which in a game full of English VA's makes little sense....Xeno X takes place in New LA too

    While it is a good theory it still neglects a lot of X's in game indications that Mira is simply the world Shulk created. Like the presence of float stone which was given a peculiar amount of focus in FC. That things such as the Nopon referencing the Monado, Bionis, Mechonis, and Homs. Takahashi has gone on stating that the games were made with the intent of being connected from the start so at the time since two wasn't even in conception he really did only have one universe to work with. Also I believe it's stated somewhere that there's multiple telethia on Mira and not just the one? If someone knows for sure please let me know but if that's the case then that's just more evidence towards Mira's Shulk related origins.

    • @LXGK
      @LXGK  3 роки тому

      The main idea behind this theory is trying to place X as close to the other games time-wise, in the same way XC2 plays concurrently to XC1. Also trying to explain different particular aspects like the Conduit being behind the Samaarian's arrival from "another plane". But yes, to make this theory work it does disregard certain details like Tatsu's references to XC1 locations and stuff. This theory sort of treats them as just fun references.
      But it might be worth doing a video one day on the theory that X takes place after XC1. Because a long time gap I reckon is probably most likely; I suppose there's a reason it's "X" and not a numbered game.
      As for how many Telethia, I do remember seeing a second one but that only appared in the Global Nemesis Mission. In the main overworld, I believe there was only the Endbringer in Noctilum.
