Subscriber here, and fan of your channel! I'm going on three months with my beard! (didn't mean to grow it, but i got the flu and was bedridden for a week, so i couldn't shave?) Glad i didn't though! I have to admit, it's actually looks good! Get compliments on it, chicks dig it, dudes get envious? Those 1st couple of weeks though, BRUTAL!!! The itching, the patchiness, the insecurities cause you don't think your getting any results!? I was like, "Screw this! I'm shaving it!" But i saw a video you had done about the "seeing it through, tough it out, don't quit"! (not the exact words, but it's what you meant) The patchiness of my beard was fading as my beard hair grew longer! I just like to say "Thank You!" The beard is coming along nicely, thanks to your videos and your advice!👍🏽😎 (and about the comb in the coffee, i put my wooden beard comb in a small bag of coffee beans overnight? It makes my beard smell good!👍🏽)

Dude no lie finding your channel today was a revelation. I appreciate the time you take to explain the little things (like showing the underbeard - all the neckline trim advice videos on UA-cam and hardly anyone actually shows what it should look like under the hood). I’m coming up on six months now and I trimmed a few times earlier in the process, but the more time passed the more intimidating trimming it up got. But after watching your stuff I finally feel like I have a pretty thorough explanation for going at it. I also have that cheek patch on each side that you talked about. The one question I have on that is how do you go about trimming/fading the sideburn area, while also letting the patchy area grow out. Like I have hair there, but it’s just no nearly as dense as the rest of my beard. Appreciate the channel. Like and subscribe

The soul patch area being thin/bald is a super common growth pattern. Some people even intentionally shave that area as a style choice. I would not call it a patch.
Thank God I learnt that to fill the patches I had to leave it alone. At 19 I had my full beard already. Some parts take longer and now at 29 I still got a couple parts to be filled. And I also have a wavy beard but well, thats life.
I have a mustache gap and it sucks.right under my nose is a hairless gap.i hate it.cant cover it up with a comb over.its been there all my life so no amount of time will fill it in.😣

The hair on my jawline likes to curl back and stick close to the skin under my chin. The hair under my chin likes to stay up close to my chin and grow back toward my neck. Tips? It's like all the follicles are angled and my hair sticks close to my body instead of growing downward!

Very accurate, it is genetics that usually determine the type of beard you have. You either got it or you don't. That middle eastern blood also helps lol I'm on the same tip 👊🏼 great video content as usual. #BeardRantAway
Taking that much is pointless. A little is fine, but your body will excrete the rest as waste. Most people probably get enough through their regular meals.
In no way is my beard perfect, but I'm so blessed to not have any patches. Instead I have an issue with it curling out on the sides in the mornings. I used a tool my wife has, it's a hair brush that heats up and straightens the hairs a lot like the blow dryer but waaaay easier. You should give it a try and a review.
And on a side note, the patch on your beard gives it a very certian "signature" if you will. Makes it unique and adds character. And I agree, I've told guys that ask me all the time about patchy beards...quit fucking with it. Literally stop giving a shit and eventually it will fill in.
Oily skin shouldn't affect how or where hair grows. You may want to wash your beard more often than the 1-2 times a week that most guys recommend and don't use too much additional beard oil/balm to help your skin, but oil is good for the hairs and shouldn't block them from coming out in any way that I know of.

So I've been watching more and more videos on beards, trying desperately to grow my own. It's always been a dream of mine. But my patchy beard grows weird,it's on my chin fairly thick ,thick enough to see ,but there's like an inch or so between my chin and cheeks where it doesn't grow at all. i used to shave the beard on the sides of my lips again and again and eventually grow thicker, so that works for me i guess but not everybody

Nah just use Minoxidil, that is the only way to fill in patches, if you wait you’ll never have a beard

I want to have a beard for the rest of my life but after growing it out to 4.5 inches it seems like my right side just doesn’t have as many hairs growing out of the jaw line area... what do u think I should do? Considering derma rolling cus I’m not into minoxidil.

I would let it grow naturally until then, and if it doesn't work, then try biotin. Minoxidil as a last resort
