Please, can somedy answer, does your beard gainz fall off after you stop using it? Or, if ypu use it for pong enough will it stay? Pls answer me somebody who used it already 💪😂
Hi. I'm 26 years old, started using minoxidil 5% from kirkland when I was 25, and back then I couldn't possibly grow a beard because of how patchy it was. I could grow the chin hair, uneven sideburns, a thin mustache and a few stray hairs that made me look dirty and stupid when I let it grow. After using it for 12 months (although I missed almost a whole month, and some days throughout the year because of work) I can now proudly grow a full beard while looking good rather than looking like an idiot with dirt on my face. There have been a few side effects, though! On the first week, I used it only once every two days so my body would get used to it, on the second, once every day, but I still had a few strange heart palpitations, they were slight and nothing to worry me about but they were there, so if you have any heart problems, avoid it. Another side effect is that especially on the first few weeks, your skin will get itchy, red, and irritated, it's up to you if it even happens and if you can withstand it, but with time I got used to it, and you can also use creams and oils to hydrate your skin... I also had a few headaches, but they were gone by the third week. And lastly, the worst side effect is that depending on your genetics your hair will not only grow on your beard but everywhere! All my body hair has increased after using it, including my hair (which is good), but the real problem is that some hair started growing on my face, underneath the eyes, and on my forehead, and it happens to a lot of people, so be prepared to remove them with a pincer, shave or trim them for as long as you're using minoxidil. They stopped regrowing about a month and a half after I stopped using it, though. But the beard still grows on! hahaha And it's been about 6 months since I last used it, so... It works! In conclusion: Is it good? Worth it? Would I use it again? YES! 10/10. This guy has a new subscriber thanks to minoxidil! hahahah
The Beard situation that you mentioned earlier in your comment is the same I have and it's my week 3. I have great genes as my brother have a bushy beard and my papa too but I lacked on it. Where no new terminal hairs are growing there are many many vellus hairs just hoping that they would transit to terminal fastly. New terminal hairs are visible in pics I take for the result. Staying strong with my patience.
I've been using Rogaine on my face for about a month now and I'm seeing peach fuzz near my jawline that I've NEVER seen before. Yes, Rogaine/Minoxidil works, but it obviously will take some time.
Great video! I'm glad to see at least one naturally bearded UA-camr with a good head on his shoulders. Minox absolutely works. I seriously had NO beard at all, I mean nada, zero. And I was 23 years old. Started taking minox and already in the first couple of months I started to get a mustache and a little bit of chin hair. Now almost 2 years later and I have a full beard. It's not the best beard ever, but it's still a full beard, and my mustache is honestly pretty good.
I've been trying minoxidil on my beard for the past 7 months before that my beard will come out patchy and couldn't get a full look now I'm very impressed on how my beard turned out I recommend this to anybody who's having problems growing a beard
UA-cam threw this in my recommended even though its hella old... Fun fact Minoxidil was designed as a med for hypertension/high blood pressure, but its side effect was hair growth in places people didn't want hair (back, face, etc.)... So while it may not work for everyone, topically (on your skin, not ingested) it is pretty safe and can potentially aid in growing hair.
i took minoxidil for 6 months and i definitely have way more follicles than I previously. I had nothing before that. I now have a chinstrap beard. I haven't used minoxidil in over a year now and i still have my beard.
I’m 33 and I’ve had patchy facial hair forever. Started using minoxidil 6 months ago and people are noticing my facial hair snd not asking questions 😂 my side effect was one initial breakout but I take good care of my skin so it lasted like 4 days.
@@sc7244 been seeing your comments on a lot of these. Consult your doctor before taking. Maybe go in more than normal just to get blood labs done while you’re working on your beard. Decided I’m sick of having a baby face and bad genetics beings in my 20s and having no beard. Talking to my doctor Monday. If you feel any of the weird heart palpitations, I would make a doctors appointment. This chemical was specifically designed for blood pressure, and the common side affect was people growing hair abnormally. Anything you would feel with your heart is normal for the drug to do, but I would still consult your doctor for the peace of mind. Best of luck man.
I am glad that people are agreeing on an opinion that minoxidil works. It motivates others a lot. Everyone are on the same page and give their opinion positively towards it.
quick update guys, im 18 and ive been on minoxodil for about 3-4 weeks now and the amount of vellus hairs i have are insane. this does work especially if you young and dont have facial hair, it will activate your dormant hairs and grow. only side effect i have now are an itchy face on where the solution was applied and my face gets SIGNIFICANTLY dry. but nothing good moisturizer can help easily
i also have had very minimal amount of facial hair such as a patchy mustache and a hideous goatee. if you wish to see pictures of my before and after (because i have actually been on a differnet type of minoxodil but i was always on and off, only applying once a day, i always shaved which is wrong, and it was a bad brand of minoxodil), however i still grew some hairs so if you guys want to see proof that this stuff does work if you do it right, reply and i will give proof.
I'm almost 39, but my beard and mustache have continued to develop without minoxidil. Your beard and stache will continue to develop as you age, including additional hair growth on other parts of your body (chest, eyebrows, nose hair, on ears, and other places). You get hairier as you age.
I had a crappy patchy beard until I started using minoxidil now a have a decent beard thanks to minoxidil 👳🏻 I had side effects but very mild besides the insane itch and dryness
mine is patchy but is good because it wasn't like that before there was nothing i use it for 4 months 2 first months plus 1 of no use but no shave just let it grow then trim 2 more of use and 1 of no shave results are great i star in December my fifth month of use
minoxidil DOES make your beard grow faster. It allows your hair follicles to have more blood circulated to them and makes it easier for the hair to grow. Its not an amazing increase in growth rate but its about 5% or so from my personal observations
Minoxidil works - I have no doubt about that. I used it once and saw significant gains and am now using it to regrow my beard. This time, I am applying 2-3ml rather than 1ml and am seeing great results. I think the 1ml rule pertains to the average amount someone with a bald spot on their scalp would apply but beard occupies a much bigger space!
23 years old, had no facial hair at all. Started with the minoxodil 3 months ago. I have shit loads of facial hair now. And i get mroe and mroe gains for every week. I almost have full covrage now with some vellus and some terminal hairs. It's awesome. I had some side efects when i started. But thoose went away after the first month, and have nto returned. I will probebly do the minoxodil thign for atleast a year.
The side effects i had int he begining were dyrness and i got dissy for like - 1h. But that dissapeard. And everyone experience it a bit different. So try it out and see for yourself. I recommend the foam. It's mroe expensive but it does not dry out the skin as much as the lquid does.
I'm now 27 years old and just started to grow a full beard but before this age it was patchy around both of my cheeks and it's 100% natural It took forever but I really never cared about growing a beard until now
@@ballaz7307 people are overly desperate for beard growth, if i was impatient i would have rushed to use Minoxidil, just clocked 30 and my patches are still filling up, i also believe most people don't reach peak beard growth until 30 .
I’ve been using minoxidil to grow a beard out and regrow my temple hairs, take not that I’m 34 years old. A month and a half later and truely committed this stuff is really working, slowly but surely. My temple hairs are growing out faster than my beard area. I’ve never had a beard but my face is now full of peach fuzz hair now waiting for them to grow out thick.
I’m almost 25 I’ve been able to grow decent facial hair from 19-22 I always trimmed it to keep clean for my job Then I moved to the country and just didn’t shave for about a year and hair grew in my face where it never did before I never really took care of it but I’ve recently made a decision to take care of my beard, it’s still a little patchy and far from perfect Wish me luck fellas
I'm asian and before I started Minox I had almost nothing, now I have completed a 8 months journey of Minox (more or less) and I have a pretty good beard. I stopped using it for a month and the beard is still here no loss or anything but I just think my beard grew faster when I was on minox. The side effect I had were dry skin and tiredness at the beginning. I think it is safe and if you can't grow a beard naturally and you really want one, it is the best choice you can make.
My grandfather was about 34 years old before he actually could grow a full beard without any bald spots… my dad on the other hand could grow a full beard when he was 16-17 years old… well I just turned 35 years old 3 weeks ago and still can’t grow a full beard, where there is hair, it’s thick. It grows everywhere but my cheeks! I’m Thinking of trying the Minoxidil, couldn’t hurt to try, definitely seems to be inexpensive enough to take a chance and give it a go!!!
My first attempt i bought it on eBay. 3 months supply came in an envelope. Notice some gains but nothing amazing by the end of 3 months. Recently tried again, but bought directly from a store (Walmart) this time. After one month I’ve noticed way more gains My recommendation, buy from a store.
It definitely does work it was really hard for me to grow a beard and now after 1 month I see a huge difference. Only issue is it makes your face dry asf
I started growing facial hair around 18-19. Patchy as hell, at most I could do a “chin strap” lol. Around 23-24 my “beard” actually started growing in but wasn’t super full on the cheeks, I used rogaine for like 2-3 months-ish. It did help for the cheeks but I didn’t use it after that. My beard is decent, not amazing lol. However Now I have a job where I can’t even have facial hair other then a mustache. But minoxidil does work.

Shit works. Started finasteride and was worried my beard would stop developing due to lower dht levels so i started putting a bit of minoxidil on my beard. HOLY SHIT! I had a thick beard before but now i have full (including under my lower lip) coverage and can barley see skin at a 2-3 guard.
Guys I recently just read a peer-reviewed article stating that although Minoxidil may not help significantly in thickness, it will definitely help in hair count. I am a young dude who recently just turned 19 and have an 8 weeks old beard with patchy sideburns but in terms of length it is definitely one inch long which is pretty darn good for my age. After reading the article I have decided to buy Minoxidil 3%. If you want to know about my progress, just respond to my comment, and I'll be willing to answer! See ya'll in the future!
@@dobson. I had to stop at week 1 because the side effects were insane. Fatigue, back pain, leg pain, dryness (although that's expected) and headaches. I've never received a headache after the age of 11 and Minoxidil made me had insane headaches that I just had to stop.
Hell yeah on both posters. Glad to know I'm not the only one who likes stone and Van Zant. Thanks for posting this awesome content. I'm at 2 months right now and struggling. The main issue I'm having is the hair under my jaw line has a heavy sweep from left to right. All the products and it still stays rowdy
Heres a tip. Before you use any product/supplement to make your beard grow better, First you should see where it's at. Grow your beard out for 1 whole year, if you've got it, then you've got it. If you dont by the time your 30, yeah go ahead.
I can attest to the effectiveness of minoxidil. I was super annoyed with how patchy my beard was when I was much younger so, I used it on a couple of patchy areas just below my lips. I had to stop after I while because of some minor side effects but, I've got a damn full beard now compared to everyone in my family. Of course, it also gave me back hair, which I'm not thrilled about but, oh well. The beard's worth it lol Oh, and p.s. I don't know if you've looked into it but, I've noticed an observable increase in the speed of my beard growth when taking biotin. It's just a natural b vitamin but, it does seem to help some. Just gotta take about 10,000mg a day Oh, and I love your videos, man. So glad I found your channel 👍
You use it only for the sole patch and you grow hair on your back as a side effect? How come? I also began using it for the same area just a couple of days ago and I saved my beard completely to apply Minox easier.. That profile picture is me and my beard. It's decent. I only lack the part between the sole patch and chin. Update, please.
christopher brown yes. There was a guy in his 40s who tried it. Check out the minoxidil Facebook group. Some Older members of the group use minoxidil there
While I was clean shaven until around 26-27. I don't think I was able to grow a full beard until around 21-22. I only know this, because my facial hair is very dark, so even when clean shaven. I can see where my facial hair can grow.
common man my first picture of me on my Instagram in santorini, I’d been using minoxidil for a couple months by the I think. And as you’ll see, I grew a beard
Minoxidil made my heart beat noticeably harder. My heart rate was seemingly unchanged but when I felt my heart beat super hard and was a bit uncomfortable and couldn't fall asleep. Definetely not going to use it anymore. My beard is thick as is and a slight increase in growth rate is not worth the long term risks of minoxidil
I have a patchy beard , my whole family men have thick bushy face except me! I have tried being on vitamins & biotin supplements before. Today its my first day using this , just received my package "3 months supply" after a whole week of research and learning more about it. I have also considered doing hair transplant on my beard area but its too expensive around 3000$. I couldn't afford it. So i did not do it. I will keep you all updated & hopefully this works , i am 23, my brother who is one year older than me had a thick beard at 17 & actually most of the men in my family got theirs around 17-19 , i waited so long & tried so many things. This is my last hope & i badly hope it works. I will definitely keep you guys updated. Just ask for an update in the reply after atleast two months so i would get a notification & reply back.
Small update , the empty areas in my beard has completely filled up with vellus hair (very small , hardly visible, light colored hair) in just two weeks. Kinda impressive I think.
Minoxidil works, but side effects are real. Dryness, baggy eyes, puffy face. I had to stop after 4 days as my face swell. Advice, start slow, moisturise over it and maybe apply 1x a day for a while until your body accepts it. Also once hair starts coming in, you gotta keep applying until they go “terminal”. Google it, if you stop once you first get hairs coming on they will not stay permanently
bravo nbr Minox will help your vellus hair go terminal (thicker), once they are terminal, you can stop using Minox. I suggest you to join a Minox Facebook group and read all the FAQ. The Minox Beard spot is a good one, lots of information there.
All i got to say is this,i don't have the perfect, perfect beard. In fact my right cheek side has/is a little patchy, over time i know it will grow out and look not patchy.....Long story short, i was in the bathroom, brushing trying to figure out how to cover it, my girlfriend walks in and tells me "why don't you brush it to put some volume in it"?. changed my whole beard, made it look darker, thicker,...What i'm trying to get at is don't' be ashamed of also getting advise from your women...ask them how to add volume to your beard...now your trying to grow hair where there is none, go for it. Use Rogaine, but you got just a little patches, try adding volume.
Im 41 and starting to thin on my scalp... I started using rogaine about 2 months ago my hair is thickening up and i ja e also noticed my beard is seeming fuller and is also growing a little faster....
I didnt have beard on my cheeks i been using minoxidil for 3 months and now i got a beard, havnt had any side effects so guess im the lucky one 😂😂 still got 10 months to go 😋
One problem that I have with my beard is that my mustache won't connect to my beard. I don't think I want to go the minoxidil route because of issues with my heart racing related to anxiety. My plan is to grow the mustsche out longer and potential do the dermapen route.
I'm 38 and I'm going to try it. I can grow a pretty full beard but my mustache always has had a spot in the middle under my nose that never grows in enough. Also hoping to fill in where my mustache connects to my beard and a few thin spots on both sides of my bottom lip.
It straight up works, now I don’t have a full beard like this guy here but I 100% got a “fuller” beard n it’s definitely much better can it is a beard just not as good as this dude but it has given ppl this type beard
I'm going to turn 22 next month. I have a very thin patchy beard and I hate it. Should I start taking minoxidil or should I wait? Can someone please give me an answer and help me out?
using it more than 5 months and its working .. Still have patches and some weak spots but i mean im gonna use it for atleast 12 more months so it will definitely get better 5 months is just the beginning
I started using this and ever since I have had extreme heart palpitations, shortness of breath and suicidal thoughts. I must grow a beard before my Virtual Prom tomorrow, so with that being said I'm gonna keep using it.....oh the tangled webs we weave.
From experience, I'll say minoxidil does work. I'm on month 3 week 10 and it definitely works. I finally have hair on my cheeks and under my chin has finally filled up. Before I started I couldn't even grow shit besides a shitty mustache and maybe some hair under my lip and 3 little hairs on my chin lol. Genetics do play a huge roll though. I can't say it's going to work for everyone. My real biological dad didn't grow a beard until his late 20s which is thick and my grandpa on my mom side can grow facial hair, so I would of had a beard later on in my life. All minoxidil is doing is speeding up my process.
I gotta say going in to your video I was skeptical, and please don't take offense but most guys with great beards like yours are pricks about helping others who like myself may be a little embarrassed by my patchy beard, but you were respectful didn't make fun or anything, thank you so much man, I'm following for sure
If i use it on my patches and the beard thus grows, can I stop using it once i am satisfied with my beard and hair won't fall out and I am left with patches again?
People experiencing sides should probably lower the dose drastically and use .5ml MWF with weekends off so the body can get use to the foreign chemical being applied to it and then up those dose by going to .5ml 5 days a week and then incorporate .5ml 7 days a week and then increase to the full 1ml if found necessary. Less is more. Start slow. See how your body reacts. Then increase. Be safe beardless bandits and happy new year.
Bro, I'm in my mid 30s, I've got a patchy beard but not too much. I definitely want to try Minoxidil but I'm still hesitant. Thanks for your video though. Keep it up.
really good video and super informative! I used minoxidil for about 5-6 months and am now able to grow a pretty decent beard, I think I'm probably gonna do another 6 months soon to fill in some of the patchy areas but everything you said in this video is VERY true from my experience. Also I've found that a lot of people who haven't used minoxidil are super judgmental about it, you were super cool about it and informational so kudos to you!
@@user-gs3vu7bi3w it's been working pretty good to be honest. my beard is coming in better on my face. and it has been helping thicken my bald spot on my head!
Androgenetic Alopecia Use forever?: Yes If the patient has androgenetic alopecia (male balding and female thinning), he or she will need to use minoxidil forever. If minoxidil is stopped, the hair will return to the way it once was and progressively get worse. In fact, all treatments for androgenetic alopecia are the same - use is forever.
My Beardgrowth didn't change from 17-23, so I had almost nothing, I used Minoxidil a few months and got almost full coverage, not really thick on the side, but I was a new guy, looking way better and not so young anymore. It gave me also so much confidence, that I was getting way more Women. At least use it a little bit over a year, otherwise many hairs will fall off. :)
I've been using oils for a while now. If I do the 6 months of minoxidil, should I stop the oils? Don't want a chemical reaction thing happening on my face. lol
I used Minoxidil when I was 17 not to grow my beard, but because my hair started thinning like crazy😂 the problem isn’t age, it’s genetics. I started using Minoxidil on my face when I turned 18. Some people just can’t grow a beard regardless if they use Minoxidil (namely the Asians on the beard minox comm).
I started taking it to fill in this patch that I have on my left side, but recently I’ve started having this chest discomfort. It’s right in the center of my chest and I can only feel it whenever I breathe in deeply. My allergies also started kicking up hardcore 3 days ago (around the same time I woke up with that chest pain) but I’m kind of paranoid this is messing with my heart. I’ve only been taking the stuff for a week.
As this dude said, the minoxidil works and it's safe. I've been using it for like 4 months and it's giving results, so you should try it. Still, better consult a dermathologist first, and use it only if you don't have heart issues.

Sergio Gentili would you say the foam is just as affective?
I’m 33 and I’ve had patchy facial hair forever. Started using minoxidil 6 months ago and people are noticing my facial hair snd not asking questions 😂 my side effect was one initial breakout but I take good care of my skin so it lasted like 4 days.
Can I use this to grow a unibrow?
It’s working for me, that’s if you grow hair there.
Wtf okay whatever
You probably could tbh
wow save some pussy for the rest of us
Yes you can grow an Eddie Munster with minoxidil👍🏻
It really does work man I used it for a while just to fill in those light areas I didn’t have to apply it to the entire beard.
Sick that’s what I want to do bro. Just fill in a little under my lip but I’m worried about the “heart” side effects
Thanks for the great video man. I've been using minoxidil for 8 months and I'm able to grow a beard now.

So you youre not supposed to shave? Im shaving lol. Dang it.
Just watched this literally the Best beastly advice... 23 and rocking my beard from Nashville
I'm almost 39, but my beard and mustache have continued to develop without minoxidil. Your beard and stache will continue to develop as you age, including additional hair growth on other parts of your body (chest, eyebrows, nose hair, on ears, and other places). You get hairier as you age.
You can have bald patches for life though.
@@imarchello oh, of course. I never disagreed with that.
Dude, looks like you're growing out the stache. I think that would look dope with your beard.
Not many natural beard dudes speaking some truth about this product. This is refreshing and just awesome. You rock dude!

How is his beard now
minoxidil DOES make your beard grow faster. It allows your hair follicles to have more blood circulated to them and makes it easier for the hair to grow. Its not an amazing increase in growth rate but its about 5% or so from my personal observations
You wpuldnt even be able to notice 5%
Minoxidil works - I have no doubt about that. I used it once and saw significant gains and am now using it to regrow my beard. This time, I am applying 2-3ml rather than 1ml and am seeing great results. I think the 1ml rule pertains to the average amount someone with a bald spot on their scalp would apply but beard occupies a much bigger space!
1ml already feels like alot. N i havent even put the full 1ml.
Should i put the 2-3ml? Would it make a difference?
@@Hondo34 that’s your choice to make. You should consult your doctor for advice.

A month and a half later and truely committed this stuff is really working, slowly but surely. My temple hairs are growing out faster than my beard area.
After one month I’ve noticed way more gains
My recommendation, buy from a store.
Ahaha dude you bought a medicine on eBay?! I don’t think I’d be wanting anything I got off a site like that….

Heres a tip.
Before you use any product/supplement to make your beard grow better,
First you should see where it's at.
The beard's worth it lol
Oh, and p.s. I don't know if you've looked into it but, I've noticed an observable increase in the speed of my beard growth when taking biotin. It's just a natural b vitamin but, it does seem to help some. Just gotta take about 10,000mg a day
Oh, and I love your videos, man.

Did you use liquid or foam?
I have a patchy beard , my whole family men have thick bushy face except me! I have tried being on vitamins & biotin supplements before. Today its my first day using this , just received my package "3 months supply" after a whole week of research and learning more about it.

@@codathlete5398 no , nothing at all .
Andy Zeller Use foam, 99.9% side effects, gone.
Bro I have a question, I have vellus hair everywhere can minoxidil make it thicker? Once if it got thicker ones, I can stop using it ryt?

I like the filter you used in this video. Sweet beard too. Thanks for the inspiration.
If i use it on my patches and the beard thus grows, can I stop using it once i am satisfied with my beard and hair won't fall out and I am left with patches again?
No supposedly u gotta use it for a year or two
People experiencing sides should probably lower the dose drastically and use .5ml MWF with weekends off so the body can get use to the foreign chemical being applied to it and then up those dose by going to .5ml 5 days a week and then incorporate .5ml 7 days a week and then increase to the full 1ml if found necessary. Less is more. Start slow. See how your body reacts. Then increase. Be safe beardless bandits and happy new year.

Androgenetic Alopecia
Use forever?: Yes
If the patient has androgenetic alopecia (male balding and female thinning), he or she will need to use minoxidil forever.
I have a patchy beard so I started using minoxidil today (Kirkland 5%), it feels a little itchy.
Hi CL, may I know if you saw any good improvement after all these months?
I don’t want a fast beard, slow and steady wins the race. What I want is to fill in the patches so then my full beard can grow slowly in its entirety
i’m 23 and I just want a nice 5 o’clock shade cover my face. I can grow it about 90% but can’t get that 10% I think I might start
I've been using oils for a while now. If I do the 6 months of minoxidil, should I stop the oils? Don't want a chemical reaction thing happening on my face. lol
I usually apply oils 4 hours after using minoxidil because minoxidil is fully absorbed after 4 hours
So do you growed beard in 18
So what happens if you stop using Minoxidil? Do the hair follicles go dormant again, and you’re back to where you started? Just curious.
Do you apply this to the area you want to grow? And if so, how does it make all your hair grow if your not applying it to all your hair?
Burping doesn’t make you more of a mans man 😂
I started taking it to fill in this patch that I have on my left side, but recently I’ve started having this chest discomfort.
