To me California was a cultural shock for me coming from Sc . Seeing teachers not dress up like in a pair slacks and tie. California teacher at school was looking like they was going to the beach. You could not tell the different from the student and the teacher. See all different nationalities in one city and California being warm year round. I can understand you. And they asking where you from because you got a southern accent.
