Age 28, here. Had my procedures done over several months ago. I have genetically inherited varicose veins. I've had problems since I was twelve. I have struggled with my weight for my entire life, but over the past year I've lost a lot of it. I've lost more weight since my procedure (Catheter-assisted procedures using radiofrequency or laser energy.), but I am constantly on my feet due to my job and they've come back just as bad as before. I have hard knots under my skin that itch me constantly. I scratch so much, I bleed, even when I use anti-itch cream. I am miserable at night, my legs still swell up, and can't afford another treatment (even though my insurance covers nearly all of it, the part of it I pay for is draining what little money I have).
So sorry to hear of your distress. I am very sorry butI cannot advise you about a specific concern. I hope you will understand that I am unable to give a professional opinion in the absence of a consultation and without seeing the detailed results of your duplex ultrasound scan. You need to discuss your concerns with your own healthcare professional.
I have to say that this video throws much truth to the matter...I have just visited doctors that told me I don't have a vein problem...even I can visualize my reticular veins with normal light...I get it worse and worse when in winter I'm staying in places with high temperatures becos of heater or when in summer i use long trousers instead of shorts or skirts
Just had this done 4 days ago. Vein taken from crotch to foot. Yes, it's painful, and I'm black and blue, but it's still less painful than when I had a 'bad pain day' with the vein in. This is a walk in the park, compared. A clean pain. I have a high pain tolerance though. I say,go for it! NO FEAR ppl. Good luck all. X
Thank you so much doctor for the info... i am 32 year old women with varicose vein on the right leg and a growin just behind my knee joint and tomorrow I am undergoing the procedure here in India. I hope it doesn't come back 😕
Hello! DR.Gajraj. Hopping you doing good. My question is. I had a Venaseal treatment about 2 months ago. But i still have a varicouse vein and a lot spider vein. Te varicouse vein a have is a bolging vein behind knee. It is painful for me sometime , how long do you recommend to do a surgical remove after a patient had a vena closed . Thanks
So when you say for certain people veins come Back then why not just stick with sclerotherapy because if veins come back after surgery why even go through the surgery if you’ll have to look for secondary option such as sclerotherapy to re treat them?
Hello Doc, I had radiovascular surgery 25 days ago and all were normal at follow up but from yesterday I gain swelling on rightankle and surgery was done at Nepal and currently I'm at UAE. Today did some blood test and informed that might be there's some blood clot got vaccine for it. Now tomorrow again had to visit veins specialist please guide what I'll do for good results. Thank you.
My varicose vein came back after three month after surgery and my legs are swollen then before. How is it possible? I 've had 2 surgery over last 2 yerrs .
Hello Doctor.. I forgot to post my question..is there a permanent solution to stop varicose to reappear..?? Do cellulites develop because of varicose veins. Please help me understand this?
Hello sir. my surgery done varicose veins left leg after surgery any exercise. My surgery done vascular surgeon. Laser treatment. December month 2021. After surgery any exercise you suggest.
I can’t get to a website but I would like to ask when you get the first procedure done on the front of your leg it feels OK and they said that they got to come back and get them to the back you still have the itching and flooring and paint and all of that because there still some in the back does that still happen
I am considering endovenous ablation of saphenous veins in one leg. Reflux was due to DVT years ago. My question is - Do the smaller upstream veins that flowed into the saphenous veins normally redirect them selves "downward" toward" the deep veins since the saphenous pathway is now closed off? Does this occur both during and after the post-surgical healing process?
Hi doctor, I had done a laser treatment for varicose veins on my right leg ( around calf ) i did it one week ago and still I’m using medical stocking. But after removing bandage I can clearly see the procedure was not being done correctly. My varicose still the same. My question is... is it ok to do laser treatment another time? If its not possible then how long I should be wait ??
I have chronic venous insufficiency that went untreated WAY too long for multiple reasons. It cause me to develop chronic edema, lymphedema, lipodermatosclerosis (fibrosis or scarring of deep tissue), as well as a bout of cellulitis. I just got all the procedures for the CVI, & a lymphedema specialist to help md treat that since its life long. Anyways one of my cellulitis symptoms was a burning & digging pain like I had barbed wire pulled tight around my shin bones in both legs. It started on the skin surface, & eventually I could feel it deep in the bone. Every step I took the vibration & impact hurt deep down to the point I was borderline ready to just die. It took a month AFTER I completed antibiotics for the pain to slowly subside. It was a slow process, & one day like 3 months after antibiotics, I realized the pain hadn't returned. It was an off & on pain that I had for 4 months prior to getting cellulitis infection diagnosed. Don't play with it as it can be life threatening, & really can get into the bones! It could be the small fiber neuropathy as well though. Have you been diagnosed with that? Also if the skin is red, warm, & tender to the touch its more likely to be cellulitis. If you run a fever for no other apparent reason, get to the doctor that day, even if you have to go to the ER! Good luck to you, I hope you can get a diagnosis & treatment asap! I understand how awful these pains can be & I'm sorry!
