Russian wrestling team wearing Onitsukas for years now, seems that they have contract. In general these are a very good wrestling shoes and you will pay around $400 for a pair with delivery.
Plfft, when I was wrestling nobody collected shoes, and people thought I was a weirdo when they'd come over and see the dozens and dozens of pairs heaped in a pile in my closet. Back then, I recognized anything with a "unique sole" as being potentially valuable, a unique sole meaning a sole specifically made for one or two high-end shoe models before being discontinued. Of course, it was an exclusive system, as the Combat Speed-style adidas were always very valuable, as were some of the Nikes, but anyway. There are several shoes that are way, way WAY more scarce out there than most.of the ones on the list, but they're so rare now that double-digit numbers for total pairs in existence may be a reality. Anyway, drool over this list of now-rare shoes that I obtained at Goodwill or other cheap thrift stores over my decade of collecting from 2001-2010: -Cliff Keen Black Widows, likely the rarest mass market shoe ever. Found in a communal shoe bin at a neighboring school. Free to me -The solid-color Cary Kolats, also obtained for free in a school's free bin. -About a dozen pairs of those first Nike shoes they ever made for wrestling, the uncomfortable ones that were from the 70s -Converse wrestling shoes, black, $6.99 at an antique shop, tossed in a bin of sneakers like any other old shoe -Bata Bullets, converse wrestling shoe clone, mine were new in the box, black, you'll never see another pair in the wild. -Nike Super Combatants in Blue and Grey -Too many pairs of the original Greco Supremes to count, probably 15-20, all from Goodwills, gear bins, and other free or cheap places -80s West Germany Adidas, few pairs -Adidas Equipment grey and white, new old stock at my hometown sporting goods store, $14.99 -Three or four pairs of Kendall Cross Adidas, which were one of the very first "collectible" wrestling shoes -Several pairs of odd 1980s Nikes that looked like Converse sneakers, Hijacks I believe they were called, bought them at an early wrestling website at closeout price -Asics 54s, two pairs,.purchased when they were a clearance shoe from Suplay.com -ugly brown Vans brand wrestling shoes from the 70s, new old stock from a Value Village, too nice to wear And God knows how many others. At one point I had 50 pairs of rare, strange, old, and antique pairs. Not many people were into it back then, and you could get them cheap almost always.
wish adidas kept making the responses with the zipper closure over the laces. i still have mine (and wear em when i coach) 13 years after graduating and love them

I have a pair of Nike footsweeps (1997) they are size 9 they are in decent condition but the bottoms are a little dry rotted so if u would wanna wear them to wrestle u would just have to put a Nike inflict bottom on them and they would be good to go lmk if anyone is interested I can send pictures and stuff so u can see

Funny you like those Nike Greco Supremes. I had them my freshman year and hated them. I wore Asics Ultraflex with the Dan Gable signature 10th and 11th grade, then Asics Ultralights my Senior year and the next 6 years in the US Marines. Asics ruled the 90s. Nike was a joke in wrestling shoes then.
