Bob, I'm 74 and have had A-Fib for years. It's under control; now and because of your videos I bought a Spyder and have been riding for a couple of months now. I'm enjoying my life and getting out there and meeting people again. Thanks for all you do.

I am 73 and just bought my Spyder. I have ridden many motorcycles (Harleys the last 30) since 1971. I now realize 3-wheels is more appropriate at my age. Your videos have helped me learn the ins and outs of the Spider, thank you. Bob, prayers and thoughts your way.

Take care of yourself from a bloke in Australia who had to have a stent put in a few years ago. I was diagnosed with irregular heart beats in 2017, after that was having dizzy spells and nearly collapsing for years before they diagnosed a 90% blocked artery. I had 3 operations in 3 weeks. I thank the Lord every day that I'm still here. Samsung galaxy watches also have health monitoring and fall notifications

Hey Coach, im a male turning 62 🤩💪🏾in a few months and have been diagnosed 2ys ago with a heart a problem, too. Mine started 2 yrs before that, after getting the Co-JABS 💉🦠. Always been athletic🏋🏾‍♂️🏊🏾‍♂️, fitness trailer, 26 yrs front line 🔥🚒🚑, retired now 🤸🏾‍♂️YEAH! Like you, and leading up to the nite I took myself to the hospital 🏥, I was feeling bad, signs & and symptoms. Bob you are a fortunate man to have such a loving and caring family. I had a bad attack of pancreatitis and while in the hospital developed a fib. They tried many medications and nothing worked. They did an ablation and it’s been stable for over a year. The procedure was not bad at all. Your a great encouragement for all your UA-cam family and we need you to follow your Drs orders so we can keep you going. Getting older isn’t for sissy’s. My family stepped up as well so we are blessed. See you in Deland if not sooner. God Bless you my brother.

I had an aortic dissection and when they rushed me into surgery they found I had a bicuspid valve too so they fixed that at the same time. The surgery time was 9 hours!
That was 2006 whenI was 37 and I can tell you for free that it changes your view of things.
My Spyder and my motorhome are outcomes of it for a start. Fortunately my wife was there and if we weren’t glued together before, we sure were after!
    Stay well.

Coach Bob very true words. My brother just had 4 stents put in and a procedure on his valve two weeks ago and most likely will need one more operation after congestive heart failure two months ago. He always ate well worked out walked and then all of the sudden he had this happen to him. Now he is 89 and I;m 68. I don't eat well but now after he had all of this I have started to eat far better. We don't have heart issues in the family but now after talking to two doctors they both told me eat better no fried food. Since I retired three years ago being in the food and beverage business for 55 years I slowed down and eat far better foods. I never really drank booze or beer or even wine, but I did drink plenty of Diet Coke. Now I cut way back on that and drink far more water.Bob you need to watch more now than before as my bother is on blood thinners and a cocktail of meds and a special diet. He can;t eat much of anything but the blood thinners are what you need to be careful as you don't want to cut yourself as any major cut you could very well bleed out. Just be careful wish you well take care

God Bless you Coach Bob. Thank you to CB3 family and God Bless you as well. It means so much to have family and friends pull together in support at times like these. It literally & figuratively does a heart well. In Feb. I had a pacemaker installed due to afib. My heart rate went from 180 to 38 and sometimes just stopped. I'm back to riding my Spyder and swimming 2.5K four times a week. The meds, while inconvenient & a nuisance, are a safety net to me. On top of listening to your watch, listen to the signals your body are sending, recognize the warnings. I wasn't "pissed off" but rather grateful/thankful. Thankful that I made it this far without incident, for my family, friends and the life that God has given me. I would add to your "eat right and take care of yourself" the practice of treating others with kindness & encouragement. It does come back (I have so many stories of this being true). These experiences bring the tern "Carpe Diem" to a whole new level. Keep the faith Coach Bob!

One thing about life is that it is always changing, and as hard as it is, we need to accept it. We start with being the ones who are there helping others and then one day it's our turn to allow others to help us. This is one of the lessons in life that I have the most hardest to accept.

Coach, glad to see you're on the mend. So glad to see that you heeded your watch's signals and addressed your condition. Afib is serious - I have a co-worker who's being hard-headed about his, and he may not be around much longer. I myself was diagnosed with CHF back in 2005 and am on a boatload of meds. I also had a defib installed a few years back as I have a family history of heart issues as well. Looking forward to you continuing to ride and the channel, but take care of yourself first - we got your back!

If possible my wife and I would like to know how to email with you folks only on occasion. We are newbies to “Spydering”, only since last June 2023. My wife is disabled, right side hemiparesis due to strokes. She manages to get on our 2022 Spyder RT-L with assistance. She loves very much to go for rides around our beaches, country rides up into the mountains. since you folks have far more experience in the vain, we would like to tap your knowledge a bit more on occasion only. Keep up your good work and best to you Coach Vic and your family. Jake & Karen

Bob, so sorry to hear this, I am so wishing you the very best, had to Google afib to understand it. Hard to not visualize you on the long ride, but you gotta do what's right. Odd that I should hear of your health issue. At 91, I developed an unstable left hip replacement that was done in September 1998. The ball and cup had become separated a bit and not fitting property. So now I'm almost 3 weeks out for a 6 week recovery for the revision to make it right. I'm walking good with walking sticks, doing a bunch of physical therapy with a guy that comes by twice a week. I'm just tired, so I know you have to be going through tough times. I am released to drive the car and the Spyder, but I haven't ridden the Spyder yet. Millie gets all funny when I say I'm going to ride. Guess you will be making some adjustments. John and Marian got a Toyota 4Runner to pull a special trailer, drive the Spyder up and go. So they have made adjustments for the long ride. You can watch their latest UA-cam if you,re interested in what they have done. I'd really like to do something like that, but at 91, I just don't know. Blessings going out to you my friend.
    Bill

CB3, That is what put me in a Cam Spyder last May I had a bad head injury not riding a motorcycle. My Goldwing life was ended due to bad head injury. It stayed in the Garage for a year before I had the dealer drive it to the shop so I could trade in to a 2023 Cam am Spyder RT Limited. Most people do not understand the physical conditions required to driving these machines. It was a hard transition, but I love my new bike. I will ride until I die. I'm 63 years old. Coach Bob I agree with you the Apple Watch notified me of an a fib also and I to went to the hospital. That was four years ago. I’m also on blood thinners and have been doing well. I’m living my life and have also been riding my 2021 can-am for a year now. I follow your channel and enjoy it greatly. Trust in the Lord always he is with us. Thank you for standing faithful in your belief.

AFIB is why I decided to go to a Slingshot. I got to light headed during any event. Pulse was 221 at one point.
    Listen to the doctors.
I’m on Multaq - Eloqus and my Apple Watch told me I was in AFIB when it happened. I told the 911 dispatcher my watch indicated AFIB. The EMT’s showed up asking what kind of watch I was wearing and I advised them it was a an Apple Watch to which they said “ you’re in AFIB.
The heat will be an issue for sometime.

Yes, my Apple Watch also helped me with my AFIB

I thank God he made me an Apple Fan Boy because my Apple watch also was the first to alert me that I was in AFIB! Stress is a trigger for me as is indigestion, and it is crazy how I can no longer tolerate heat, especially when the humidity is high too.

I'm so glad to see this video, as opposed to another outcome. Be well Coach Bob, you're still needed by your family, and by so many others that you have touched 🙏👊😁👍

You always see the best in situations, which makes you so entertaining and relaxing to watch. Stay safe, share your wisdom, and let's hope some viewers learn or at least take something with them from it. Big fat thumbs up, of course!

Number 1 cause of heart disease is heredity . No matter what you eat or how much you exercise .I've been active all my life hiking , jogging , kayaking , biking etc. When I started running I was a fan of an author Jim Fixx . His father died of a massive heart attach in his forties and his theory was the hearts a muscle and if you exercise it it will become stronger . He was a big advocate of running thinking he could beat heart disease by building up your heart muscle . He died of a heart attack at age 52 while on his daily run . My father had bypass surgery in his forties and I made it to almost 70 before I needed heart stints I'm now 76 . I have 5 stints and am unable to jog or any strenuous walking but I've found I can ride an electric assist bicycle and I ride 60 miles a week , a 20 mile out and back from my home 3 times a week . I have over 9,300 miles on my bicycle , more than on two of my motorcycles and will continue riding as long as I'm able .
