I know everybody else is already saying it, but we really need the intros, outros, and fan art back, the narrators’ personalities are what made this channel so great!!
is that why I can't pinpoint whos talking? was is said at the beginning or do I not have a memory
they're bringing them back, but they record videos a few weeks In advance so it could be a bit.

Today's fanart is by u/PersonLol515 and it's a picture of a robin holding a gun with the words " *RoBBin* (Get it?)" written over it. Very cool artwork. If I had a printer, I would print this out and hang it on my wall

I think I know why the format changed.
UA-cam analytics shows what parts of the video were watched the most, there was likely a dip where people sometimes skipped the intro, and a sharp drop when they got to the fanart, so they just removed those parts of the video to maximize watch time percentage.
This also explains the half-second credits.
Well, I'm not watching the content at all anymore. I'm just clicking on the video, watching as far as I need to in order to know of the intro has returned, and commenting that it needs to change back. I'd assume that many people are doing the same.
I've seen a lot of comments and I honestly have to agree. Bring back the old emkay. We want the nice intro, outro, the old background music, the fan art and just the genuine enjoyment. The quality has dropped immensely.
We aren't talking about the very old 2019 emkay with Damien & Slazo only (though that would be nice too) but the mid-2020 emkay with variety, jokes and laughing together while actually just sitting in bed with a phone and watching reddit content
We still probably have a few days before we can see effects, but I hope that something is changing. Someone is hearting various comments after all

1:09 on the contrary...pumpkins rot very fast. Most people have forgotten 1. October used to be colder. 2. House/window insulation used to be worse. This meant a pumpkin by your window would be nearly refrigerated. Now it is way too warm to keep a carved pumpkin indoors. They rot. And fast. And quickly become a breeding ground for insects like fruit flies. It makes perfect sense why pumpkins aren't allowed.

my dorm roomate in uni carved pumpkins around the start of october. by halloween they were essentially black sludge she refused to clean up and we developed a massive bug problem that got us evicted.

Yeah, and as someone that used to work in a dorm, the pest they would bring would be annoying not only for that room that put out a pumpkin, but also for the entire floor. My dorm was especially bad for this stuff because it was based on a motel so the walkways/hallways were outside. To make students feel better, we put up plastic pumpkins.
I live in Buckeye, Arizona. I usually put out an un-carved pumpkin every October, and it usually lasts until summer the next year.
Yes, I do just leave it out there for most of the year.
We need the old emkay back! The quality has dropped immensly, the music the intros the fanart, the fanart always made my days. The reason why i watch emkay was the personality the soul but its slowly fading away. Bring the old Emkay back.

The old EmKay must be returned to us, we're missing the intro, the fanart, the personality. The narrators are still amazing, but PLEASE, give them some more room to connect with the viewers again.

I also didn't like they changing the music. It was much better when it was that single cuphead song the whole vid. Gave a morning radio vibe. Now with many transitioning songs it feels like another generic channel

It feels as if emkay is being treated as a business. All of the soul and humanity is being taken out of the uploads, it feels like a content farm.

I, and many others, don't even want to watch Emkay anymore with this new format. No intro, no fanart, no outro. That's what made Emkay stand out from other reddit youtube channels. Please bring it back

Even if you guys don’t pump out two videos everyday, please just bring back the intros, outros, and fan art. It’s what made this channel unique to other Reddit post reading that just read the posts and add nothing to it. Newcomers don’t even know who’s reading the posts, it’s just some random person they don’t even know and that takes out the charm from this channel

Is emkay in need of a new editor? Seems like that's the case since the extra flair(intro, outro, music, and fanart) is gone. Hope you find a good one fast.
There is music in the background and they still have all kinds of cropping/zoom edits on the pictures. So I think it is an intentional choice to trim the fat.
ngl I hate the decision, the intros/outros were always so cool and I miss them so much. It makes it even worse if the reason they were removed is solely for efficiency

10:31 the instrument the sign is banning is a bugle, the instrument the guy is playing is a trumpet, technically he broke no rules
Not to mention that is not what a bugle looks like, i just can tell it is one due to the lack of valves that trumpets have

9:19 -- oh no, you don't understand... Frappuccinos are the WORST things to make at Starbucks. There is literally a "dance" to making beverages there, and Frapps are the freaking worst to work into said dance. When people order like 3-7 Frapps back to back, it takes A LOT of time to make them all. It's tedious, it's stupid, and when they ask for extra stuff to make it "look good" - it's just one more layer of "F you".
I too, would put stickers on the logos when people did this - especially when the girls who wanted a "perfect frapp" were rude about it.
Why can't I enjoy my job, huh?! They can literally make their own stuff and home and take an instagram and make it perfect -- they do NOT need my help.

Ive seen alot of comments these past few videos, and honestly i can agree, the quality of the content has dropped drastically. I've seen another trend regarding the video's, lots more are being put out at a faster rate, its like they are wanting to go for the "Quantity over quality" route of youtube and to be honest i don't like it, i miss the old days where they had good intro's, outro's, AND even the fanart is gone!!! One of the few interactions they have their community was now gone.
Please emkay if you read this, please go back to the old ways, everyone in your community misses it dearly.

I mean I miss the fanart but how is the quality going down lol they just read existing memes and tweets. Like if I wasn't so lazy I'd read the stuff at it's source so I can't complain about the quality of content this channel just compiles and doesn't even create.
@@strayiggytv Quality went down big time, cuts are more consistent and both the outro and intro are gone, with only a second showing some credits to the voice's behind the screens.

Well, it turns out pumpkins rot REALLY fast. Housing has better insulation than long ago, and it was a tradition that was more meant for colder climates, so the pumpkin would have been practically refrigerated then.
